Club 33 requested more info from me. Should I be excited?

WOW!!! I suppose the next time Power Ball is $1 billion and I happen to win it, I'll put myself on the waiting list, LOL.

Getting on Club 33 waiting list is the first thing on my list when I win the lottery too! OP-I hope you hear soon to sign on the dotted line for a membership.

Personally to me I'd like to have like a Club 33 panel where the club can partake in events where their voices can have some input into perhaps what they want to see in the parks.

Also an exclusive floor in the Disney land hotel that's only for members to stay and luxuriate in.

One paid three day visit to any another Disney park (no meals or hotel accomidations just flight).

An exclusive deck on Disney cruise ships just for club 33 members.

Exclusive screening and invitation to movie premiers.

Just to me up the level of execlusivness.

Just some ideas again what can make it a bit more prestigious and exclusive of value to me

Here's the thing: if you can afford Club 33, then you can easily afford all of those other things. Airfare to a Disney park would be a drop in the bucket. The concierge upgrade on DCL would be chump change. It's like balking at buying a $140k Tesla because they wouldn't throw in the cold-weather package and rear spoiler for free.

However, you do make a great point about the lack of equity interest. Unlike similarly-priced country clubs and some dinner clubs where you are buying ownership interest and have some say in the direction, you aren't getting that here. If anything was going to make me balk, it would be that.

Agreed I was just throwing out ideas my whole thing was just extending member perks to other areas as well making it truly an exclusive "in" thing.

Actually the "in thing" is the secret handshake and password. Which changes on a regular basis. So don't get it wrong man, otherwise be preppared for a Spanish inquisition style grilling.
Believe me, that ain't a photo pass op. :faint:

I do love these first world problems :)

To the OP - good luck to you! How's it coming along? I'm curious, I thought the initiation fee was 'only' $25k but people are throwing out $50k as the number - has this changed?

Thanks for the well-wishes. Others have already answered your initiation fee question. Since you asked, I have not heard back yet. I dropped my bio/references in the snail-mail last Tuesday, so C33 may have only had the letter in their hands for 1-2 business days.

Exciting as the prospect is, I am not going to obsess about hearing back. If it happens, it happens.

4 Premier annual passes, 50 1-day park hoppers to be used for friends and family, use of lounges in both parks, 5- 8 hour VIP tours, concierge service, access to VIP areas for night time shows, fastpasses, access to special events through out the year (examples - tours of Walt's Apartment, dream suite, the Circle D ranch, helping with Disney Rose Bowl float, wine dinners with Gogi wine makers, Silverado winery, imagineers, parties after hours with rides open, etc....)

Wow, amazing perks!! And very valuable both in monetary and exclusivity terms, if you ask me. I will continue to dream. :)

Any updates?

Exclusive screening and invitation to movie premiers.
Last night was the premiere of The Jungle Book. I heard it was excellent. After the viewing, the club members were escorted back to the club where they got to have a meet and greet with the director. And they received a nice "exclusive gift". I am hoping to get to go to the Pete's Dragon premiere.

It is rumored Shanghai will have a Club 33 with reciprocal benefits (like Tokyo.)

Squirk... I know this thread fell silent long ago, but, did you ever hear back from the club?

Sadly, no. I think @AZMama2016 had it right; they were probably just re-verifying my interest as part of the new year's housekeeping. Maybe I moved up one notch in the process, but I have not heard from them since.
