I'm curious to hear other's budget conscious thoughts about the Disney Dining Plan. It can vary as to whether it is financially advantageous depending on where you dine and what you order. But, I just think it is too much food. We just don't need two meals and two snacks per day. We typically eat breakfast in the room, share platters at QS lunch (maybe buy 3 meals for the 4 of us to eat from), and then have a nice TS dinner, with maybe one mid-afternoon snack (and might even share that).
I wish there was a way to split up the DDP and only buy for part of the trip or for part of our family, but that's not the way it works. It seems to be extremely popular, but I don't know if that is just because of the convenience or the way it is highly advertised so people think it must be a good deal. And to be fair, I think it can be a good deal if you will use all the credits.
Are you a fan or do you just eat on your own?
