Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

This stood out to me. Are they going to track meal credits by person now? Before you just got a bucket of credits and it didn't matter who used them.

So no snack/dessert with QS meals. That sucks when you only get one snack credit per day now.
I don't think it means between each member of your party. Its meant for if you join another party for a meal you can't pay for their meal and vise versa.

IMO the more surprising thing is no price announcement.

Hmmmm....so 1 less snack/day than the old plan. I bet it doesn't cost less lol.

"Finally, Rei received a miraculous lung transplant, and no longer needs oxygen supplies or a wheelchair. The rehabilitation process was long and tedious, but her goal set with the physical therapist was “to be able to go to Tokyo Disney Resort” and walk around all day."

How wonderful for Rei. This is amazing what modern medicine can do. Congratulations, Rei!!

Hmmmm....so 1 less snack/day than the old plan. I bet it doesn't cost less lol.
They probably heard the complaint that there are always a glut of snack credits left over at the end of trips that are causing a run on marshmallow treats on the final day... so they are resolving that issue...but like you said I highly doubt there will be a reduction in cost to offset.
They really should include 1 alcoholic beverage per meal...or give the option of a drink instead of an appetizer...wasn't that a thing once?

1 alcoholic beverage of beer, wine, cocktail is still included, the appetizer has been removed if it was a part of it before.

Nonalcoholic Beverages

A single-serving nonalcoholic beverage includes items such as:

So, I am assuming this means that kids under 10 still have to pay for the Plan, but the "1 non-alcoholic beverage per night of stay" is not included for them. Why?

EDIT: Or, now that I read it again, it might be referring to the drink included with the table-service meal, but if that's the case, then what are they supposed to drink? Are you only allowed to drink water if you are under 10 years old?

Kids 3-9 must order from the children’s menu (where available) and most places include a drink and a side with those menu options I think.

A long time ago I believe it was an app or dessert.

When the changes were announced that date-based tickets would no longer need a park reservation beginning January 9, 2024, there were some questions if there would be any changes to Park Hopping as Disney wasn't specific in the announcement.

Today, Disney has clarified this by adding the following in bold in regards to Park Hopping (and as always, this can change).

"With the updated Park Hopper experience, Guests must make a theme park reservation for the first park they plan to visit AND enter that first park prior to visiting another. At this time, a theme park reservation is not required after the first park, however, reservation requirements are subject to change. Beginning January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. After Guests enter the first park, Guests will be able to visit the next park starting at 2:00 PM until each park’s regularly scheduled closure."

I don't think this is new information but it still really sucks that they're doubling down on park hopping restrictions.

Disney provides update on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster refurbishment and Extended Evening Hours

Interesting to see them moving some items to the two credit list (and doing Akershus only for certain meals is going to a thing I'm sure, poor CMs).

I wonder if they'll be moving more non-character meals over to the two-credit list as well.

IMO the more surprising thing is no price announcement.
Has Disney ever officially announced these prices?

In my memory, we had to wait until the day new packages were released and then lots of blogs would go and start making dummy reservations to calculate out the pricing for each package and age group. Then pricing would end up getting shared widely on blogs and sites this this, but it wasn't on Disney's site directly. Am I making that up?
