DISUnplugged Addicts Anonymous

Hi, my name is Lori, and I too am a DISP junkie. I used to smoke crack, but decided this is much better so I switched.
I started using DISP only a few weeks ago. I only intended to try it once, but once turned into twice... and next thing you know I can't live without it. I don't even have an iPod, I'll just use it with whatever I can get my hands on :scared: (laptop, cell phone, whatever). I even bought a special card and cables to play the archived shows through my car speakers from my Nintendo DS. These get me through the days in between show dates.

Sometimes, when I really need a fix, I have used it at work. I plug in my headphones and flip through a pile of documents as if I am reading them. Uh oh - hope my boss isn't reading this! :worship:

I don't think I'm quite ready to kick the habit anytime soon (though I may need to get a second job to support my vacationing habit - ha!).

It's nice to know there are others who can relate to this addiction. :grouphug:

My name is Goofy89 and I am an DisUnpluggedAholic.

I didn't realize I had a problem until about three weeks ago when the podcast was uploaded to iTunes two days late. I would refresh iTunes about every thirty minutes all day, but no podcast. I started to panic.

I tried listening to competing podcasts but it just wasn't the same.

Seriously, this podcast is great. I don't always agree with the opinions, but it is always fun to listen to.

Last night I was actually dreaming about the blogs. The dream isn't very clear right now, but for some reason, in order to access *something* you had to read through all the blogs. It was one of those dreams that sort of keep repeating itself and although it became a bit annoying, it made me realize how deep into my psyche this podcast/blog obsession has become.

Hello my name is Mary and I too am a Podcast addict. I truly never believed it would happen to me. You hear it all the time - don't do it - it only takes one use but you think, "how can it hurt to try just one time?" Uggh, now I pathetically sit in front of my computer on Tues and Wed mornings and rant and rave until I get my fix. Then when I do get my fix, my coworkers look at me funny because I inevitably laugh out loud - mind you I work in an accounting dept (not exactly the most lively bunch). :faint:

Oh, and by the way podcast crew, :mic: thank you SO MUCH for starting the blog - yeah, that's just what I needed to extend the insanity of this addiction! LOL!

PS - In all seriousness though, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!! It's nice to have something (well, 2 somethings) to look forward to each week. :thanks:

Whenever it enters my body I get flooded with relief it really helps me relax after a long day at school

I tried to pressure my friends into trying but it didn't work

Sometimes I laugh so hard :lmao: my mom needs to come in and tell me to stop that using, this is hurting my body

I can't and I won't until i am in a straight jacket and going to therapy every day:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

WE LOVE YOU PETE!!!:hippie: :hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

hi I'm Kim and I'm a full blown newbie addict.

Everytime my boyfriend walks into the room, he says "You're listening to that AGAIN?" I've gone through archives and listened to tonnssss of podcasts and I just die laughing and feel like I belonge.

I have a serious addiction. I spent my entire Saturday night following the woes of WO hunting down Pete. I really need to get a life other than the DIS. LOL.

I am ashamed to admit that I find myself getting the munchies for cake to the point that I am turned on by "dessert porn"
