Epcot area resorts International Gateway

Why not? The gondola would stand to be at a greater risk of a threat than even the monorail. In what logic would they want guests to get on without some sort of security check? Otherwise, why bother to give one for the monorail? Or are they just not worried about guests that aren't staying at Deluxe resorts? Which seems about as unreasonable
The moving security at MK wasn’t about the monorail it was about alleviating congestion at the entrance the Magic Kingdom.

I’m not saying it won’t happen but looking at how DHS is being set up with the new bus loop, tram, and Skyliner it doesn’t appear security will be outside the Skyliner.

so based upon the manager the traffic at the gateway will increase by 133% ( from 15% to 35%) Meaning if you have stayed at an Epcot resort in the past, expect over twice the number of people at the gate. Of course these are estimates based upon the resorts occupancy and a profile of how many people go to Epcot in a day, which varies on the day of the week and season. So spikes will exist for events.
Well, yes. The Epcot-area resort visitors have always had convenient access to Epcot. It was never exclusive or private. So, yes, now there will more people entering and exiting that route throughout the 12+ hours Epcot is open.

While not exclusive the International Gateway entrance was created to provide park access for the Disney Epcot deluxe resorts. It also once provided tram service for them too, which is why you use to see the oval roadway just outside the ticket area where the tram station now sits. Change is part of business and we are probably seeing a shift in Disney's transportation strategy as there is talk this tram system may be the first segment to be built.
