Food and Wine? Sounds Divine! An October TR - 12/2 A PTR Link!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. I did! Because we finally booked our Las Vegas vacation yesterday

Our friends that are going with us, found a good package deal that included airfare out of an airport about 45 minutes from us, so now we don't have to drive the 5 1/2 - 6 hour drive. Although I didn't care about the drive but now we can get back home sooner.

We're staying at the Bellagio and seeing the cirque show, Zarkana. I'm just glad we have a location nailed down, so now we can plan our meals, which is what i'm most excited about :cool1::yay:

Next update will be later this evening and will be catching up on the rest of my subscriptions. :)

:thumbsup2 for having your airfare and hotel booked! The Bellagio is top of our list for 2016, so I am looking forward to your photos. :goodvibes

That rain looked intense! You tried a bunch of tasty looking items.

Congrats on the Vegas plans :) Zarkana looks amazing, I hope it is.

DM is super picky and I wanted to make sure that we didn't get to full, otherwise we would have completely skipped over booths.

Did you know that my bun contains a sock?! :rotfl2: Yes, there is an actual SOCK in my hair keeping it up like that! I knew it was going to rain and my hair does not do good in rain so to keep it out of my face, I decided to go with the sock bun. It worked!

Our problem is being practically omnivorous and then we have to skip over booths! :rotfl2:

That's so funny about the sock! You'll have to show me how you do it, next time we see each other. I look like Olive Oyl (although not so skinny) when I put my hair up.

Sounds like a great plan! What airport? :confused3 Fresno?

I'm really excited as the Bellagio was on the top 5 hotels that I wanted to stay at. I'm very excited!

I'm hoping Zarkana will be good. I'm just excited to be going and seeing ANY cirque show!

I like when you put your hair up! I know you don't do it all the time, but it looks nice when you do it :goodvibes

Yes, Fresno. Looks like it's about an hour flight and it's a 45 minute drive to the airport from our house so I think it will be worth it!

***We just had some amazing Cheese and Beer and moving onwards to Germany***

Boo to no Germany menu photo. I suck. But I did get the food! We ordered one of every food item: Schinken Nudel (Pasta Gratin with Ham and Cheese, Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll, an Apple Strudel with Werther’s Karamel and Vanilla Sauce.

Wait, where’s the Schinken Nudel?! There he is. Camera-shy little guy.

I really enjoyed everything, but thought there wasn’t enough bread for that brat. The strudel was delectable! Would kill for another one right now.

While in Germany, I really needed to stop by Karamell Kuche since the last time I was here, I went in and bought nothing , I needed to rectify that immediately.

I went with the Peanut Butter Caramel Crunch Cookie

Good grief. I’m an idiot for not purchasing this last time. So yummy and sweet! I would take a bite, put it away and then immediately pull it back out again. Definitely stopping again next time!

We did some browsing and picture-taking was in order

Introducing the most brilliant sweater in the universe!

There is now never an excuse to say that you’re too cold for beer. Perfect!

Was trying to get this shirt for DH but he declined

It was around 6:30pm when we decided it would be a good time to start heading back to the hotel so DS could get some proper rest. By the way, he did excellent taking naps in the stroller! :thumbsup2

On our way to the front of the park we stopped and took some PP pictures

We were handed a couple of bags of these and I was the only one that ate them. Dh hates tart things and DM hates raisins. More for me!

YAY! Congrats on booking Vegas.

Another tasty update. Love the food porn and Karamel Kuche. That, and the new Boulangerie at France are my two favourite shops in Epcot.

You put a sock in your hair? Fantastic. I wish I had hair that could do that but mine is so thin and fine that it just wouldn't cope with being put up like that. So envious of your hair.

Apple Strudel with Werther’s Karamel and Vanilla Sauce.
It all looks good, but this is what I want...

I really enjoyed everything, but thought there wasn’t enough bread for that brat.
I'm not sure that "not enough bread" is even a valid critique. Go try a hot dog at Casey's and then talk to me about what is the right amount of bread. :rotfl2::lmao:

 Why even go in and tempt yourself if you're going to leave empty handed? :crazy2: :sad2:

I went with the Peanut Butter Caramel Crunch Cookie
Never had that one. Might have to add it to the list of things to try.

Introducing the most brilliant sweater in the universe!
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Perfect! I wonder how many beers it took to come up with the idea?

By the way, he did excellent taking naps in the stroller! :thumbsup2
That is always a good thing.

The offerings from Germany look so tasSUV! We didn't get there this last trip, but I've had all of those before and they were all yummy!

I bought that shirt that you wanted DH to get on my trip last January. It's one of my favorites but no one here gets it.

I'm glad DS did good on the power naps. Great pictures of the three of you!

I like when you put your hair up! I know you don't do it all the time, but it looks nice when you do it :goodvibes

Yes, Fresno. Looks like it's about an hour flight and it's a 45 minute drive to the airport from our house so I think it will be worth it!

I put my hair up all the time, I just never allow my photo to be taken like that. Any pictures you be seen of me with my hair up, I've actually taken the time to style it.

We hate being in Vegas without a car, but then again you two don't have a shopping addiction and need an SUV to get your loot home! :rotfl2:

Ooh the strudel from Germany looks delicious
Great news on your Vegas trip. The Bellagio is a beautiful hotel. The Sugar Factory in the Paris hotel, directly opposite is amazing for breakfast and you can sit on the patio and people watch :)

Super cute picture!

I love that beer glasses of Germany T. That's a great shirt!

You are so good with your food pictures and keeping up with your pass-port. I am very impressed. I don't think I took pictures of most of the food we ate. My TR is going to stink.

Another delicious-looking update! :thumbsup2 Everything looks great. And cute shirts you found. Glad Calvin got some good naps in the stroller. Oh, and nice family pictures too!

I could eat all of that right now...and it's breakfast time here. YUM!

Love the pp pictures, really really cute.

That sweatshirt is a riot.

Hi Lesha,

I'm glad you booked the Bellagio, we would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat!

Yum, your food looks great, as usual. I love the Karamell Kuche too, I tried the same cookie and it was delicious :)

Lovely family pics again, you are a very photogenic family!

How are things with your SIL's pregnancy?

That little shopping excursion -- the Germany sweatshirt and world showcase t-shirt -- I want!!! :thumbsup2

All the food in Germany looked soooo good. And it did seem like there wasn't enough bread for that Bratwurst :lmao: When I saw the eating/drinking around the world shirt, my first thought was maybe, just maybe, my DH would wear that since he says the thing he wants to do most on the next trip is drink around the world... But if your Disney-loving DH won't wear it, I don't think I have a chance... :rotfl:

Yay! You're staying at the Bellagio! Oh soooo nice. :) Check out Sensi for dinner there. One of my favorites. If you are in the mood for a 4 diamond steakhouse, Prime is beyond amazing. I know, so many choices within a square block how can you choose?

Back to your TR... Yummmmm strudel and the caramel drizzled PB cookie. I am familiar with the practice of taking one small bite but the moment you put it away you are compelled to take just one more.. and one more... and then what happened to it?

Great family photos. Your little guy looks content to much on the strap. :)

Ok I have to say that now I'm obsessed with figuring out your sock bun. Adorable on you of course but on me I'd look like a doodle bop. You are ever adorable!

I think with the sock bun, just about every type of hair would work! It's so easy, it's embarrassing...

I'm not sure that "not enough bread" is even a valid critique. Go try a hot dog at Casey's and then talk to me about what is the right amount of bread. :rotfl2::lmao:

I haven't been to Casey's yet! Good grief i'm not a good DIS'er. I feel that everyone has been there except for me.

 Why even go in and tempt yourself if you're going to leave empty handed? :crazy2: :sad2:

Incredibly sad right? I think I know the difference now looking back...last time, I barely drank. This time, mucho drinko = hunger! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Perfect! I wonder how many beers it took to come up with the idea?

I think it would be the best sweater at any party a person would go to. So brilliant!

That strudel looks delicious!!!!!

Love those dwarf ornaments, those are too cute.

I thought they were too! I should have got it for our tree. Next time!

I knew I saw that shirt before, other than in the store. Should have known it was the big time shopper on my thread! :rotfl:

I've seen you with your hair up! I'm trying to think which photo I saw of you. Was it for band? I know you do half up, half down...

:rotfl2: I don't know, I heard that mall was pretty awesome. Hope your shopping habit doesn't rub off on me!

The Sugar Factory! Haven't heard of that one yet. Writing that one down. Thanks Linda!

Love, Love this picture!

This is one of the 3 photos I actually got printed out to be put in a frame. Love this picture!

Super cute picture!

I think in the back of my head, I kept thinking and chanting, "Pictures for DIS, pictures for DIS." :rotfl2:

Another delicious-looking update! :thumbsup2 Everything looks great. And cute shirts you found. Glad Calvin got some good naps in the stroller. Oh, and nice family pictures too!

I was worried about the heat and naps in the stroller. We knew we would hardly be going back for naps since he takes two a day, and there's no way i'd leave twice.

I could eat all of that right now...and it's breakfast time here. YUM!

Love the pp pictures, really really cute.

That sweatshirt is a riot.

Thanks Cynthia! I hate looking at food pics before eating. Makes my food look terrible :rotfl2:

How are things with your SIL's pregnancy?

Hi Monica! Everything is going really good! I'm not sure I said anything, but at the next appointment they only saw one heartbeat. They're thinking the ultrasound tech didn't read the picture correctly or something, because there was only one to begin with :confused3 they were a little disappointed, mostly because they're not sure if there really was 2 babies and they lost one or what. But I think they're just happy that her pregnancy is going smoothly, no sickness, good measurements and is almost out of her first trimester!:cheer2:
