That will of course be what he meant! You are as ever the diplomat...something that is sadly lacking in some places at present!

I did give him credit. What more does he want...permission to use his work? I thought it was good that his homework would have a worthwhile purpose!

See what greater purpose than making sure you never try coasteering on the West Coast of Scotland! He did say it was fun!

I think the folks round here help to give everyone a better understanding of each other's cultures. That has got to be good in helping us all not to engage in lazy stereotypes.

Otherwise you might have found yourself gasping for breath in cold water someday.

It's great for them to try new things and Peter does love a challenge.

You did manage to get out the water - reminded me of Hannah trying to get out the Water in Tenerife. Just a shame you didn't have me capturing it - unlike poor Hannah!

He has a really good group of friends at school. He enjoyed spending time together.

The Green Welly Stop is in a small village called Tyndrum. It is a family business that has been on the go since 1965. It has a filling station, restaurant and gift shop. It is in a prime location on a main route north and is a very popular stop. The name Green Welly Stop does come from the green wellies that it sold -says a lot about the weather in the West Coast of Scotland. The gift shop still sells outdoor gear along with whisky and other gifts. @tazdev3225 should be able to tell you what she thought of the Green Welly Stop.

I loved it. Reminds me of some places we have here in the states but with much better scenery. I was looking for something yesterday and actually found a bag with some postcards I bought there.

You are indeed a man with much experience of outdoor wear! You put your knowledge to good use here. Well done that man!

    It's a sign - haste ye back!

Hmmm, I"m not a big fan of cold water, but should I find myself in such, you'd better be doing a mental health check on me too.

    ::yes::

:rotfl2: Poor Hannah- but well, provides for some comic relief. ;)

I thought this might be what this was! Sounds fun!

Not sure I'm qualified for that! Peter did make it sound really appealing: once you've survived the mouthfuls of cold water and swam through the choppy waves, you got to jump from a great height into numbingly cold water below. It was his description of the sudden shock to the system and gasping for air. He really should be part of a promotional video.

The good thing was she was oblivious to the fact I'd been taking photos and by the time she swam to shore I was able to provide suitable comfort and care.

Yes, he should be! I"m not sure my writing skills would even come close to making any of that sound even remotely good!

    :lmao:

Aww, you're such a good mom.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
It's time for me to get this trip report back on track and back to Disney.

Day Three Part One: Finding Joy and Sadness at Epcot

We were up bright and early again so we could get to rope drop at Epcot. We had breakfast on the balcony.

We parked the car in Amaze. We went through security. It was my turn to be approached to walk through the metal detector. We then joined a queue to enter the park.

We were able to enter the park at 8:35. The custodial cast members lined the walkways blowing bubbles and holding out Mickey Hands to give High Four's. WE noticed a change from last year in that the cast members allowed you to proceed further before holding you just before Test Track, Living with the Land and World Showcase. This seemed much safer as it dispersed the crowd between a few areas and meant that there was a shorter distance to travel quickly to the ride. We were released at 8.45am. We decided to go in the standby line rather than Single Rider so we could design our cars.

Alan and Peter worked on their car.

Hannah and I made a very stylish car.

Let's see which car would win? Our car did well on Capability but we did regret our Hybrid engine. The boys beat us on this occasion although not by much. I had a great hair in my face experience as we went round the track.

Next we visited Joy and Sadness. It was good to meet some new characters.

I was certainly joyful that we only had to wait 10 minutes to see Baymax. We commented on what a difference a year makes. Last year we waited in a queue of over 2 hours to see Baymax.

I took the sign to heart. I shall once again be in Scotland this coming July. I am trying to convince my mother to leave a day early and spending a day visiting Glasgow before we join the tour. Heading south to the borders, Hadrian's Wall and even some time in England.

Back to you report. I have grown to enjoy designing a car and had some fun competition amongst us on my recent trip. We did miss Joy and Sadness though. I have only seen them from a distance.

I have begun the November/December portion of the trip on the report if you would like to pop over and visit.

    We did! Thanks!

    Well, it's about time...

for me to finally get back here. ;)

Yes, those lots are always a maze to me too.

    Longest lines anywhere. Ever.

    You sure did! Nicely done!

    Uh, oh....

Okay, Nevermind. I read the rest. It's all good! We can all relax now!

And took over three hours to find your way out of it.

    :sad2:

Don't you hate having to line up so you can line up?

    Oh! That's new.

Yeah, that seems to make way more sense.

    I like it!

Which one's Joy and which one's Sadness?
They're both smiling, so it's hard to tell.

    Holy crap!

That's great that you're coming back. What are your dates of your tour? You definitely should come earlier and visit Glasgow - if you can manage a couple of days that would be great. There is lots to do in and around Glasgow. If you are interested in the Roman period why not find out about the Antonine wall.

In recent times we have gone single rider and had to skip car design so it was fun to get to do it again.

Aww...maybe next time! Have you watched the movie?

I've read it and have commented. :)

    Welcome back!

Thank you! I did spoil it by choosing a Hybrid engine. It always guilts me into trying to be a bit eco-conscious or maybe that was a concession to Hannah. Yip a Hybrid engine will definitely compensate for the huge wheels! :)

Oh were you expecting a Tragedy or a Comedy? What about a Tragicomedy?

No that was the first night on 4th July. Shanghai Disneyland has the Alice in Wonderland Maze..maybe they could bring it to the UK pavilion.

Absolutely - Who told all these people that rope drop was a good idea? It has definitely got busier over the years.

Well not really this was July 2016. May have come and gone again for all I know. Others who have been more recently may know.

Thanks - it's the kind of car I would drive. Quite practical really (well if you don't have a great big greyhound!)

It is really. They both seem happy - Hannah always refers to Disney as her Happy Place along with many other people.

I would never have chosen to wait that time. It was the last day of Baymax meeting with Hiro in July 2015. It was an experience that started off not seeming to be much of a queue. The queue wasn't that long but they needed someone to have better control once people had their turn with the characters. There were groups all wanting individual photos with each character then lots of different composite groups. It was so ridiculous.

    The latter. :)

    Shipping would be expensive.

    Whoops! Sorry. That was me.

Hmmm... I'm trying to remember if I rope dropped it or not... hmmm...

    :)
