Ok, can you please tell me what the DD17 DS22 (& DH) stand for? I have a guess that's it's the son, daughter, husband & the age, but what does the first D stand for?

Do people ever get together before the big trip?

For example... I'm hoping to get a small trip (maybe a 3 day weekend) to Disneyland sometime before the end of the year. I'd love to meet up if anyone is interested!

Originally I was supposed to go for my 40th birthday, but then the Mouse Meet was the same weekend so I will be staying home. Now it's a toss up if we go for Halloween or Christmas, even though we went for Christmas last year...we LOVE both times at the park!

Hello everyone!

Welcome Cat! I am new too! Well to this group at least, not so much to the boards.

I've been following along, but haven't said much lately. Actually I have been a little afraid for a while that I might not be able to make this trip. I ended up not getting many hours at Michael's, so money has been really tight, and going on this trip was looking pretty slim. But good news is, I just got the call today for a full-time job paying a lot more than I have been making in the past, so everything is looking up all of a sudden.

Beth, I hope you have a great time on your train trip! I think it sounds like a lot of fun. Other than the city train in Calgary, I've never ridden a train before. I think it would be so fun to try at least once.

Hope everyone is doing well! No plans for the weekend for us. May consider going to see The Dark Knight Rises to celebrate my new job, but that's about it.

It's actually both, depending on what site you're at. Here we tend to think Disney Daughter/Son/Husband, but on other sites it's Dear Daughter/Son/Husband. Or my case it's DBF for Disney/Dear BoyFriend.

I'm so glad it's Friday.....I'm going to Happy Hour after work with a few friends, speaking of I should go to lunch so I'm hungry when HH rolls around. LOL We are just going to Chevy's, they do HH from 2-close! YES! haha I'm gonna have a Margarita and some Flautas and then get my eyebrows threaded. LOL Class tonight at the bar so dancing after, it will be fun, I love hanging with my friends. BBQ tomorrow, BBQ Sunday and class Sunday. I won't be online much this weekend. I think I may give myself a Henna tattoo tomorrow, I have paste I need to use up.

There are mini meets all the time. Especially amongst those who are local or within an hour or two of the parks.

I think the next fairly large sized mini meet is going to be in October. There are several of us, maybe 10 or so, planning to meet up the weekend of 10/19 - 10/21. Some will be there longer, others only for a day. But on Friday the 19th a bunch of us are planning to hang out in the parks. I'll be there with my family going to Knott's Scary Farm on Thurs the 18th and Universal on Sat the 20th, but Friday I'll ditch them and go to Disney. I love Halloweentime in the parks! It's my favorite holiday.

Just wanted to let you know that I woke up today and neither one of my feet hurt. Pretty dang happy about that, given just 13days until my trip. I nearly tipped over the edge when I twisted my non fractured foot because of wearing my stupid walking boot. But. Ice and ibuprofen have done the trick. Yeah!

Hello all. Haven't really been on much lately and just kind of skimmed back but hope everyone is doing well.

I have been absolutely SWAMPED. Last weekend was our championships for swim and Katy medaled for the first time in an indiv event. So that was exciting. And then their 200 freestyle relay team broke a 16 year old record earlier in the year and then they went on to beat their own record twice more including at champs so that was super exciting as well! Next weekend is the Meet of champs which is where all the kids that medaled in the champs get to go on and swim against other teams from Nor Cal that also were in the top 10 at their champs. Katy will be swimming the free and medley relays and the 50 and 100 free. So we are excited about that. Not looking forward to more LONG weekends though LOL. We usually have to get up around 4 to get there and check in and then it is a lot of WAITING for each event in the heat. This will be there last swim event for the year though and it's a good thing because Katy's cheer starts tomorrow! We have already had a couple clinics but reg practice starts tom and it is 2.5 hours every night and the parents have to do fundraisers so it seems like it is going to be right up there with swim as a big committment but she loves it so we will deal

Then as I said Katy got first for her jelly and last week was the baking and Katy made a choc cherry torte and a cheesecake and shelby made a family receipe choc cake and both girls got 1st place for everything and Shelby not only got best of class but best of division and was in the running for best of show between one other kid but didn't get it but it was SO exciting!! Sitting there watching the judging was really exciting. So proud of both of them and they are already thinking of things that want to try for next year.

Katy also was recommended to take some classes at Sac State. The kids are only allowed to do it by teacher recommendation and then they have to take a test and depends on grades and on and on. So she is taking a course next week so I will be taking her to that. Then only two weeks after that school starts. CRAZY!

Anyway that's my crazy busy life. Hope everyone else is enjoying their summer and doing lots of fun stuff.

It's Sunday and my love let me sleep in without disturbing me. He said since it's our 23rd anniversary he would be nice. I also have some pretty flowers and gorgeous card from him. We shall have a nice dinner, thinking since I have a $10 coupon for red lobster why not?
