Have you ever been evacuated from a ride?

We have been 'stuck' on Pirates, Buzz Lightyear, Spaceship Earth, and Splash, but the only evac we had was on Haunted Mansion.

Tea cups. Someone exit a cup When they turn... Not a good idea! We can made it 2 times in a row.

yes, we got evacuated from Winnie the Pooh. It was weird seeing the ride with the lights on. We also were given FP.

A few years ago we were evacuated off IASW at Disneyland. After we were stuck for a while they turned the music off, but they dolls kept moving. Believe it or not, the constant clacking off the dolls was worse than hearing the song over and over. We had to be evacuated through a backstage area and were given 2 any attraction FPs because we were stuck for over a half hour.

We were evacuated from IASW on our last WDW trip. They also stopped the music and I agree about the dolls. I though the moving, clacking dolls were kind of creepy. Luckily, we weren't stuck for very long.

Spaceship Earth. They left us sitting in those cars for an awfully long time, and then it was a LONG walk down.

This exact same thing happened to us during our recent trip. Any chance this happened to you on the night of August 25th?

Our log was stopped right at the end where Brear Rabbit is singing with the Bluebird. We ended up using our fast pass on the mine train that night.

Yep! I don't quite recall where we were stopped; I think we did at least one drop. We also used our FP on mine train. :)

Todays attractions in parks all over the country, are really very complicated and detailed machines, with lots of computer control. Break downs happen now and then.

Add to that , stoppages are sometimes the result of allowing handicapped to board and sometimes guests do dumb stuff and shut things down. Once shut down it sometimes messes up the computers and it takes awhile to get things rolling again.

Yep we got stuck last trip on splash mountain right where the bees are spinning. They escorted us off saying over and over no pictures..it was a stairwell...nothing there to see.we came out in a courtyard.gave us fastpasses.but it was our only chance to ride it that day and it stayed closed the rest of our day.

My DH and I experienced a first at WDW -- we got evacuated from a ride. We were on Splash Mountain when a traffic jam became longer and longer. Finally the music and animatronics turned off and we were told a CM would be out to assist us. They had to manually open the lap bars and we all went out back stage where we got a FP. No clue what the issue was.
Same thing happened to us we had to listen to the same tune over & over we went out this exit door & behind the ride we were like what is this we never want to do a behind the scenes tour

Once we got stuck on Haunted Mansion. They turned on all the lights as we were escorted out of the ride. Doesn't look quite the same with the lights on.

I have been evacuated off people mover - no real behind the scenes but we did get walked off with flash lights and given FP's.( paper kind). I was also evacuated off carousel of progress after being stuck between two scenes for about 15-20 minutes with animatronics still on (that was odd). Got to walk in the backstage warehouse area and were given a free FP (also paper).

We were evacuated off of EE about 2 years ago. As you go up to where the track is "broken", just before you go backwards, the ride stopped. About 5 or 6 minutes went by and some CMs came to get us off the ride. They asked us to put our phones and cameras away and we walked a little ways through the ride, then to a stairwell, where we trekked down quite a few stories. Definitely an interesting experience.

Many years ago we were evacuated off Pirates. The lights came on and the soundtrack stopped but the animatronics kept moving, which was one of the creepiest things I've ever seen. They announced over a loudspeaker to remain in the boats and "a pirate" would be along to escort us off the attraction. Sure enough not only a pirate, but a guy from the Jungle Cruise showed up. The pirate CM put on rubber waders:

Then he hopped into the water and pulled the boat back to the nearest exit and off we went to the 'backstage' area:

There was no such thing as Fastpass then, but it had been a day of broken attractions and other mishaps so we went to City Hall and complained. They gave us front-of-the-line passes for four attractions.

We have been had to get off rides twice. Once on Indiana Jones at DLR and once on EE at AK.

A couple weeks ago we were evacuated from Space Mountain after being stuck in a rocket for 15 minutes. Same trip we got stuck at the bottom of Expedition Everest for several minutes.

Oh yes. I always seem to end up on the rides where someone does something stupid. Some rides are not safe to restart with guests, and some if they cant quickly reset the evacuate after a reasonable time trying. Some ride sensors are insanely sensative for safety reasons.

Over the years been evacuated from space, tot, rapids and pirates. Tot is fun as they try to reset it first and that means 20 full length drops. Sucks as evacuation is a ladder. My daughter from splash this trip.

We were evacuated from Test Track this January. It was the end of the night, fireworks were already happening, and just before we got to the outside track of the ride, it slowed down... SO disappointing. The cars crept along to the outside track until finally they just stopped. We sat there for 20 minutes, tilted. Not a cool feeling when your kids are freaked out that the car is going to flip over! Finally a CM came an unlatched us - we had to walk the outer track to the (outer) stairs, and went through some back areas until we were led into the building. The car in front of us had to be PUSHED back because their seatbelts would not release.

We were evacuated off of Winnie the Pooh. Our honey pot was stuck in the doorway, so a CM had to jump start it and push it forward to be able to actually open the door. Then she put down a stool so we could climb out. It was weird to see everything lit up. There was electrical tape visible and scuffed paint. The lights certainly changed the look of the ride. Our CM stopped at each honey pot and unloaded more guests. It was like a little parade of guests marching by the end. We also received anytime FPs for our inconvenience.

Did and were evacuated off Pooh earlier this week. We were almost at the end though, so we didn't see any of the tape or scuff marks.

They do unload the ride from the beginning towards the end (I think so they can escort everyone through the ride) so we were the last ones off. There was a honey pot in front of us, but the man was yelling and throwing a fit about being stuck and how long it was taking (really, less than 20 minutes from the time the ride stopped until we were off) so some cast members got them off about a minute before dd and I were taken off. I felt bad for the CM, as he really was not nice.
