Hi! I've enjoyed reading your trip report! I've followed along some of your past reports with your daughter. I'm on summer break now, so it's fun to be able to catch up on some trip reports!
I think with 2 people it is easier to stack the genie. The modify feature which was new to me this trip was a huge game changer! You really know how to make Genie + work out!
You and I share the same taste in rides and lounges. Love Baseline Taphouse- perfect place to relax and watch the world go by while enjoying some food and drink
I’m looking forward to hearing all about MK especially Seats and Treats as I’ve never done any dessert party but I always think I’d like to do now I’ll know if I’d really like it.
This one of my favorite lounges. It really has a nice vibe and a great place to rest and people watchWell, I`ve never heard of that place with the Charcuterie, which is one of our favourite things to eat, and it did look good.
I despise sliced almonds but a few whole almonds lightly salted goes well with the cheeseI like no almonds on dishes, I don`t have an allergy, just don`t care for them, but that looked lovely.
Thank you!Nice pictures of the ride though.
We sure have! No wonder Disney is our happy place, lolSame here with the education field.....with the "Right to Read" report coming out, we completely changed our reading program with more emphasis on phonics and phonological awareness. It's always interesting to hear the new research and best practices. I know we have both seen a lot of change as "seasoned" staff
Coming up soon!I cannot wait to hear about this!
Right! I loved that part!Haha! How could she forget the Alien???
My arm gets really sore but I agree it is really fun!I love it too but I am SO bad at it!
Baseline is where it is at! The CMs are wonderful here!Myfavourite! Yummy!
It did make me cry and I know in September it will make me cry because Andi will be with me again!Oh it does make me cry.......the first time I saw it in 2017 I bawled throughout, it just hit me in the feels, lol! And I adored Wishes so much, I have a tattoo on my left wrist from the show "Just Believe."
I agree,I think Carole and Tom would enjoy the atmosphere at Baseline!Carole I will say while I didn’t go there as I was building my lightsaber, my parents LOVED it and I think it’s something you and Tom would enjoy!
Yes, it is a great experience and I don’t mind paying for this oneAgreed on paying for ROTR. Maybe the only ride I’d pay extra for (is get genie plus for DHS as a whole but definitely Would pay for ROTR).
Same! I really want to see Mando and Grogu! Maybe in September I will see them.I will definitely be the weirdo looking for Mando and Grogu lol.
Haha! HEA really did grow on me and I did cry this trip! Wishes made me cry every time! Fantasmic is worth it!HEA made me SOB in 2019 I can’t wait to see it again (didn’t get the chance in 2021)! I also need to see Fantasmic again with the changes!
Good one!Bag o’ Hondo.
Thank you! I can’t remember what was nice now so always say thank you, hahaNice
We really did! It was fun having the little misfits visit us each day. You’ve got a whole menagerie going there!
I almost didn’t forgive her! I know she rode it several times with us so right how could you forget the greatest movie ride ever! You’re more forgiving than me! How could you forget GMR??
Probably that is why, the inside just looks really drab and doesn’t match the upbeat, vibrant colored ride in there nowHuh. I didn’t notice… and maybe that’s because it just wasn’t memorable.
I love that special effectI love the “exploding” screen. Was so surprised by that the first time.
Have you tried Baseline? If not give a try next time you are there! That looks good!
I know Grogu is an apprentice now and they have bounties all over the Universe! They have a very busy schedule.
Thank you! I love that droid! He is funny. Sit and listen to him for a minute! But nice picture of you
I am very glad to have you back following along! Enjoy your summer break!Hi! I've enjoyed reading your trip report! I've followed along some of your past reports with your daughter. I'm on summer break now, so it's fun to be able to catch up on some trip reports!
I love those nachos! It's my last day tradition to get those for a late lunch after a morning at MK.We checked on the wait for Trader Sam’s lounge, however, it was 60+ minutes. So we passed on getting in the grotto. We decided to get my beloved pulled pork nachos. These are topped with cheese, spicy mayonnaise, pico de gallo, and pineapple salsa. Absolutely delicious and still $9.99 for a shareable size. Don’t walk, RUN to get these. They are served on house made chips and fried wonton chips. Raise your hand if I convinced you to try these!
Who can afford more than one drink these days with the prices????We just had the one drink, and soon it was time to head out to MK. We decided on the monorail since we hadn’t had a ride on it yet this trip.
Good lineup! My guess for the pic is Pirates gift shop.We rode JC, Pirates, Pooh, and HM before the dessert party.
Sounds great! I am drawn to that cupcake too. I am not usually a big dessert person in Disney but I figure I will enjoy lots of chocolate covered strawberries! We both had champagne to cheer the wonderful evening and the return of HEA. I went with chocolate covered strawberries and mixed fruit next. The melon was very underwhelming but the strawberries were delicious. We had about 45 minutes before the fireworks show. I thought the desserts were just okay, nothing bad just not great. The tres leche cupcake was my favorite. I also tried the apple pie crepes, mousse, donuts, cookies and a celebration cupcake.
Wishes was my first Disney fireworks show and I have beautiful memories watching it with my boys. My favourite part in Wishes is from the Blue Fairy onwards.....Wishes is my all time favorite, mostly because of all the mother and daughter moments shared watching Wishes! What is your favorite firework show and what is your favorite part of HEA? My favorite part of HEA is the Moana part, oh my I could listen to that part over and over. I got some nice video including Tinkerbell flying very close but don’t know how to post my videos on here. Trust me it was special and I highly recommend this dessert party at least once!
I really like the pre show “nothing can stop us now” It was a wonderful ride once again.
We had Genie+ for TSMM, this ride is still one of my all time favorites.
It was a quick ride to MK. I had been stacking the Genie and we had Jungle Cruise, Pirates, and HM ready to roll.
They just have cheese and crackers. I really miss the mini cheeseburger spring rolls, pita bread, and spinach dip.
The fireworks view was amazing, we loved it! Tinkerbell flew right by us. I definitely was emotional and teary watching HEA! I was really happy to have it back.
I also adored Illuminations and miss it terribly. The first time I watched it with Jack (he was 8), he slipped his little hand into mine and said "Oh Mummy, isn't it the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?" Such precious memories.Okie doke you’ve sold me on both the nachos and the dessert party ( for the view more than the desserts). Think I could eat my fair share of chocolate covered strawberries and who doesn’t love a glass of sparkly
Ok- don’t hate me- but Illuminations is my all time favourite fireworks show and I miss it so much! Like both yourself and Susan it’s as much about the memories attached to the show. My youngest was terrified the first time we brought him to see the fireworks and so my husband was speed walking him out the international gateway as he howled while I stayed with the older two. About 20 minutes later they reappeared because hubby had bought a “magic doe-dee” (a pacifier is called a dummy or doe-dee here) that kept you safe watching fireworks and Matthew loved the end of the show. He was only 2 but as long as he had that magic doe-dee he was fearless the rest of the trip
I am so sorry for your loss, my friend. I am glad the lyrics helped a bit on a hard day. Sending lots of love and my sincere condolences to you and your family.xox@suse66 thank you for making my morning with the lyrics from both Wishes and HEA. I am drinking my coffee and singing along. Yesterday was a really hard day for me and my family. This made my morning! My mother in law recently passed away and yesterday was a whole day dedicated to her!
You don’t know how thankful I was to see your post this morning!
Friends even miles away can help.
I agree! I try to get the nachos every trip! I have also had these on our last day many times. A great way to close out a tripI love those nachos! It's my last day tradition to get those for a late lunch after a morning at MK.
No joke! It is crazy how much it costs for a solo cup drink!Who can afford more than one drink these days with the prices????
You are correct! I put you in the super fan category like Andi!Good lineup! My guess for the pic is Pirates gift shop.
I think eating the strawberries and drinking the bubbly while sitting makes this party a must do at least once!Sounds great! I am drawn to that cupcake too. I am not usually a big dessert person in Disney but I figure I will enjoy lots of chocolate covered strawberries!
Andi fell deeply in love with Disney and MK because of Wishes! It really spoke to her and as her mom I was deeply touched. This is mainly why it is my favorite! We often held hands and cried together during this one!Wishes was my first Disney fireworks show and I have beautiful memories watching it with my boys. My favourite part in Wishes is from the Blue Fairy onwards.....
I agree! Such a wonderful show!In HEA, I love the Frozen part, then of course Hunchback, Moana and absolutely Hercules.
Ahh I love this.Look inside yourself. You are more than what you have become. Remember who you are. Remember. Remember.
That is wonderful! It is the perfect evening! Get the nachos and a ridiculously overpriced cocktail before the dessert party! The strawberries and bubbly are worth the price for a nice seat and beautiful fireworks! I say do it at least once!Okie doke you’ve sold me on both the nachos and the dessert party ( for the view more than the desserts). Think I could eat my fair share of chocolate covered strawberries and who doesn’t love a glass of sparkly
Oh I would not hate you! I loved Illuminations! This was my second all time fireworks show! I really haven’t enjoyed anything in Epcot since except the lights on SE!Ok- don’t hate me- but Illuminations is my all time favourite fireworks show and I miss it so much! Like both yourself and Susan it’s as much about the memories attached to the show.
Very sweet and memories associated with our trips are the most preciousMy youngest was terrified the first time we brought him to see the fireworks and so my husband was speed walking him out the international gateway as he howled while I stayed with the older two. About 20 minutes later they reappeared because hubby had bought a “magic doe-dee”
Fireworks are hard for little ones, the noise alone is terrifying so that was wonderful his magic pacifier did the trick!that kept you safe watching fireworks and Matthew loved the end of the show. He was only 2 but as long as he had that magic doe-dee he was fearless the rest of the trip
What a wonderful memory!also adored Illuminations and miss it terribly. The first time I watched it with Jack (he was 8), he slipped his little hand into mine and said "Oh Mummy, isn't it the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?" Such precious memories
