Waiting for Chase Travel to call back. She “forgot” to inquire about my waiting until PIF as a one-time courtesy because it wasn’t in her notes.
Anyone done HHN at Uni? We are going Oct 4-9, we have APs. My kids are 9 (going for her 10th bday) and 13. They are not scaredy cats at all and love Halloween so I think they’d be fine fear wise. Not sure about me!!! Is it super crowded? Worth it?
Thanks I am paranoid because I have asked a lot of dumb questions, repeatedly, and done a few dumb things as well. I have to stop skimming the threads and read this thread when I can give full attention to it, not when I'm trying to cook dinner and help with homework. I wouldn't blame anyone for rolling their eyes at me from time to time.
I cannot multitask while reading this thread!
Okay, guys.
I just removed myself as AU from my dh's CSR.
Also, go ahead and roll your eyes at me: I was on his CSP (which we PC'd to a CF) as an AU!!! I removed myself from that, too. I'm on Credit Karma now trying to organize my cards.
I agree that it's just ridiculous these days, yet they are filling the parks. DH and I saw the last round as a sign that we should look elsewhere for our vacation fun and voted with our $$$. As you know there are lots of nice places to explore out there, and we are going to try to see a few of them. The parks will be there when we want to go back and by then there will be new things to see and do. I will say that I'm glad I'm not locked into Disney vacations at this point since the park tickets alone have gone up so much over the last 10 years.
I'm sorry if I sound negative, because I sometimes see this as a positive in that there are some great trips we've had that we never would have taken if we hadn't started to think that going to WDW or DL wasn't a great deal. And I am so so glad we took those trips.
Y’all. My dh has gone more cray-cray than Disney. Anyone who is very knowledgeable about dvc willing to pm and chat? Don't want to clog up the board with a bunch of very newbie questions but I'd rather ask my friends here than go to the dvc forums...
I’m loving this DVC talk though lol I’d love to see the questions and answers from the pros if people don’t mind.
I would love to fly Air Canada. I check flights daily on United.com just to see what the saver award landscape looks like even though my dates aren’t available yet.
It’s going to be a struggle accumulating enough URs for the return flight back in business but I definitely have enough miles to fly out there. The question is do I pull the trigger on the inbound flight as soon as I see the fare I can afford. Then I just hope and cross my fingers that I will find a reasonable fare on the return once I do have the miles . My husband said he doesn’t want to fly all the way to Japan if it’s an economy so that could present a problem.
I’m seriously about to cry. Apparently they are just telling us TODAY that we weren’t in their schedule book. Are you $&@*ing kidding me?!!!!! So if we didn’t call we would’ve sat here all day wondering when they would show up and they wouldn’t have come. I’m so pissed it’s not even funny. Our relocation agent said she’s extremely upset also and the moving company is “scrambling to find someone else”. You’re damn right you better be scrambling your *** off. Sorry for the language but this is our life they’re messing with. We close on this house today so we won’t technically own it anymore and have to leave.
That sounds a lot like what my dh's policy will be but he says he sends in his receipts each week for reimbursement and then he pays the bill. This is from one of the forms he filled out " i have the opportunity to participate in the Membership Rewards program and I understand that if the bill is not paid on time, my points will be forfeited. They may be reinstated for $29 per cycle" and he had to check he agreed to this. No fee he said.
He has to use the company card as well.
I think he will book through a company called Concur. Think they are affliated with Amex.

One thing to keep in mind is that when I paid for my contract with my husband's credit card they were willing to take it because he was listed on the contract. I think you said you would have family get CIP's? They would need to either have you as an employee or they would need to be on the contract.
Oh, that means something totally different out here!
@wendow happy to chat DVC. We have both direct and resale and I did lots of math between renting points, credit card churning discounted rooms, and lost opportunity cost if we had just invested the money.
@Haley R I’m so sorry for all the stress they’ve put on you with the scheduling mix up. I hope it’s all settled soon and that they make up for the hassle.
SFO question. We fly in on Delta next month. Do you know if you’re allowed to visit both on departure and arrival or arrival only? Thanks!
If anyone is interested, the Sams Platinum pass is $865.99 before tax and $924.78 after tax.
ok, see, I think it is this new formatting, I am just seeing this now somehow and it is 4 pages back. Anyhow, PM'd you my friend!
It is typically a coffee milkshake, but can be used for any milkshake...the term seems to be slowly dying. What the hells a cabinet? Thought you spelled Cabernet wrong!!!

You can pm me too. I finally did the math and when you account for the 280 points I used plus the discounts and credit card points I actually came out ahead on the sell of the direct OKW contract I bought last year. I used 5 different cards for DRR...now I have to pay it off but it definitely makes me want another direct purchase! Easiest way to make MSR's ever...and if you have 0% cards it is easy to float the money for a little while.
Yes!Is a cabinet like a milkshake? Maybe really thick?
How do you do this? Do I have to be logged in? I would actually do this if we can get the platinum passIf anyone is interested, the Sams Platinum pass is $865.99 before tax and $924.78 after tax.
Compared to Disney at $1,119 before tax and $1,191.75 after tax.
The renewal was $808 and change for me, and will now be $1,012.98 for my family. A difference between a new Platinum pass at Sams and discounted renewal of $88.2 per person. If I use Disney gift cards that were more than 10% off, the renewal is "cheaper," but the new pass will actually provide flexibility. I can reset the start date of my sister's and mother's pass. They would get more life out of it. Decisions...
I am glad I have an expired Sams membership. It still lets me log-in and make it to checkout. I wonder if I can actually purchase without a membership?! If I have to pay that also decreases the savings.
Dh and I decided we won’t be getting the platinum plus APs. The SWGE preview would’ve been nice but that price increase is not happening for us. I’m putting my foot down with Disney. I’m not sure when we’ll even buy our APs now. The only thing I want to do sometime soon after moving is the villains dah.
With universal I think we’ll be waiting also. I want to wait until the kinks are worked out with the new hagrid coaster
No we don’t have any trips planned right now. The main thing I want to do is the villain dahAre you planning lots of trips to Disney over the course of a year? We live about 4 hours from there and have had AP before but for many years now, we’ve just taken advantage of the FL resident ticket specials hat Disney puts out for the first half of the year. We just did 2 trips on a 4-day ticket that cost us about $200. I’ve found that even a quick 2 night trip without buying tickets is at least $700 staying at a Value. It might not work for you but we live these tickets and if you upgraded them for about $40 more you get hopper plus water park admission.
We just stayed in Coronado Springs. Loved the rooms and had the best meal we’ve ever had at Disney at the best price at their new restaurant, Villa del Lago?, in the middle of the lake. Didn’t like how spread out the resort was even with the bridges and the buses kind of stunk too (once and done). I imagine that by next year, the restaurant will have raised each item by $5 and reduced the quality. I urge you to try it while it’s good - their house sangria was sooooo delicious.
Silly q---CIP and CF code the same way, right? So if I use my CIP to get gas and then buy a gc inside at Wawa it would code the way the CF would?
Just blowing by to say I'm appalled at the AP cost increase too. I've been swamped with life and work and trying to keep up everywhere... so I wanted to post about this earlier and just now had time.
