Jambo! The newest AKL Information thread

Going to be at AKL Kidani studio Dec. 8-24. First time staying at AKL, so excited! Taking my 2 adult boys, they are also super excited to stay here after coming to eat at the restaurants and exploring. We are staying DVC, is there any way to request close to lobby? My older DS is special needs (autistic) and for some reason short walks to and from the bus stop when we're leaving and coming back is very important to him. I usually book a preferred room at other resorts - this is new to me. Thanks for any info.!

Headed to AKL Jambo at the end of June (6/26-6/30) after spending some time in other parts of FL. Is is possible to store a carseat (other than in the room) during our stay as we won't have the rental car once we begin the resort stay portion of our trip?

We arrived today for a week stay in a 3 bedroom villa on rented points. We came in the room to find a gorgeous flower display from the front desk as well as a fridge fully stocked with drinks and a note to call when we need it filled. Then tonight a cast member knocked on the door with this beautiful wood piece covered in chocolates and treats. We asked her who this was all coming from and she said as thanks from the front desk???? What the heck?

Love our villa on Kudu Trail and the view!!

We aren't CL, unless we get exceptional pixie dust. We are just std view. Got an awesome deal when the summer offers first came out for only $10 more than POFQ (where we were going to stay). Very excited...can't wait for tomorrow! Plus my boys are going to love the animals and the pool!

I keep looking for June’s activity schedule and it isn’t posted online yet. We leave Tuesday so I’m anxious to see what’s going on.

We will be at AKL-Jambo in a couple of weeks and are wondering about construction. I understand that part of the lobby is currently blocked off and the Kudu trail rooms are still being worked on. Do you think requesting a refurbished room on the Kudu trail would be too inconvenient? Or would it be better to request a room on the Zebra side?
