I actually really like this format and I want to steal it. I like how you incorporated your stress level. I am so obsessed with that feature, haha. Sounds like you had a good week though! Yay for getting a Barre membership! And going to TWO baseball games. I wish I lived closer to a stadium.
I'm glad you like it ... steal away! It was kind of how I was dividing things in my head, so it worked.
So ... the stress level. The first few weeks I was obsessing over it way too much, so I took the widget off my watch. But I saw it listed when I was looking up info about my day, so I decided to include it.
If it makes you feel better, the game I went to on Sunday was over an hour away. Including minor league and independent league teams, we have at least 7-8 teams within a 2 hour drive, maybe more. But it has been a crazy baseball summer.
Also ... when you come in for the Staten Island Half, if the Yankees are still playing (not overly likely) and I can afford playoff prices (even less likely), I'll take you to a Yankees game.
I really do not want to see this idea come anywhere near Major League Baseball. I suppose it's acceptable in lower levels for other reasons, but there are a lot of proposed rule changes coming from the new commissioner that could do far more harm than good to the game. And I'm not talking about the speed up the pace of play stuff.
I haven't seen it in action, but I'm not a fan of the idea. I'm also not a fan of the "speed up the pace of play" stuff ... I like the occasional 4 hour game (or as a Yankees fan ... not so occasional). I haven't really been paying much attention to what Rob Manfred has been proposing, but I'm too stubborn to want the game to change much in general. I'm still not a fan of this 1-game wild card play-in thing.
Yeah, this week is weird for me. I've got a church thing I need to do tomorrow night after my tempo run for the week and then I have to do 7.5 miles on Friday since my little sister and I are going to the San Francisco Giants game on Saturday where they're having a 2010 team reunion on account of this being the 60th anniversary of the team in San Francisco and they're facing the Rangers that day who they beat to win the 2010 World Series.
Sounds busy but fun. And I'm seeing the Giants tonight ... but I'll be rooting for their opponents
The last two years I've done both Star Wars games with the Giants and the A's on back to back weekends. I've enjoyed seeing how the two teams handle the event differently and seeing a game again through the eyes of a child.
Nice! Which team does it better?
