Maclaren Major and WDW buses

Will DD be able to stay in her chair on the buses in a Maclaren Major? Any ideas how to convince CMs that it is NOT a stroller?

I found this on a website about the Macalaren Major:

Note the Maclaren Major Special Needs Stroller is not designed, crash tested, or intended for use as a transport device on buses.

I think like the regular Macalaren it is sort of built to be lightweight and foldable. Sue had a post recently that went into more depth about tie down points for chairs and strollers and the like here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1142796 You need to scroll down a bit!

Not sure if you were asking about CM's at rides but you can get a card at Guest Services that allows you to use a stroller as a wheelchair.

This is one of the major websites that sells Maclaren Major Strollers. It does have the language that Carol quoted about the stroller not being designed for use during transport on buses.

If you go to the disABILITIES FAQs thread located near the top of this thread, there is information about Guest Assistance Cards (GACs), including using a stroller as a wheelchair. If you request to be able to use your stroller in that way, you will either be given a GAC card or a sticker card to attach to your stroller. When CMs see that, they will allow you to use your special needs stroller in lines and shows the same way as a wheelchair. There are some ride cars that can accomidate a wheelchair, but your stroller will probably not fit. Some (like the Safari at AK or the Backstage Tour at MGM) have the same type of tiedown system as the buses have. Those would not be appropriate for your stroller. There are others (like Pooh or Buzz Lightyear at MK) where the stroller may be too long or too low.
