May Med Magic - May 15 2010 - Meet thread - Part 2

Set up the proxy and tried logging in to my blogspot dashboard and it gives me an error "Method Not Allowed". :sad1:

I didn't want to create a new blog since I had already spent so much time creating the one on blogspot and have been updating it the past few months. Plus all my family and friends already have that one bookmarked. If the site is blocked, I am going to use their email option. I tested it last night through my hotmail account and it was very easy and posted immediately. If you want photos, you include them as attachments and they appear at the top of your post. Not the most ideal situation but at least I have a backup plan!

Here's their site with more info:

I am a little conserned about packing because I just check the weather in most of ports. Rain, rain rain...better find those umbrellas.
That's part of what's freaking me out, too. I have all these summer tops I planned on taking, now need to include things for cold weather, which takes more room!

I am as well, but more so because I don't want to pack and then not be able to go. Our flight from the US has been cancelled the past 2 days and so far for tonight it is delayed 2 hours. I did decide to just go ahead and pay for an extra bag so that I do not have to stress about the weight and if we buy too many souvenirs.
I'm trying to not even think in regards to cancellation. I'm going on as if everything will happen as scheduled. That's all I can handle at this point. And a second checked bag just really isn't an option, as I'm travelling solo, and I'm going to have enough issue managing one checked bag & a rolling carryon by myself... :confused3

No need to stress...do you have a packing checklist? Go through it thoroughly and add/subtract. You don't actually have to physically start packing in order to get ready. We won't pack until Wednesday.
No, actually I've been really bad about doing a packing checklist. I need to print the ones out from the website & mark them up. Maybe that will help... I'm just not an organized person sometimes.

I hate hate packing...but on the other hand I am all done. Only have a few carry on details left like computers and such.

We have company coming in today-tuesday and leaving wed so needed to be packed by today.

It feels so good once you get it done, but boy did i have no idea what to pack. Though mananged to keep suitcases under the weight limit with room to spare
I *hate* packing so much, too. It's so much less stressful to pack for a road trip, than for a flight. Make sure you have smaller than 3oz versions of the important things, the rest go in checked. What's essential to put in the carryon vs what I can live without if I *have* to if my suitcase is lost... On my Alaska trip, I actually did *not* bring a second week's worth of my blood thinners, and had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get a refill in Anchorage (I'd never done THAT before! :scared1:)

Yeah, I saw that but I hate the easy answer. I PM'd shuush to ask her if she had any problems with posting her 4/24 blog on blogspot since she didn't mention any problems with being blocked.

OK, is anyone else starting to freak about packing? Sayhello

It is way too not last minute for us to pack. Wednesday night we will be freaking out and packing and then we'll forget something non-essential like the batteries for our camera or the charger -- which is why all of our Backstage Magic pictures were taken with my iPhone. You'd think we'd learn.

Okay please let us know what you find out! I hope we can just use the blogspot site too. This was the first time I'd heard of anyone having problems onboard so I hope it's an isolated incident!

Is anyone a board game fan, and would be interested in a gaming night or two?

I'm bringing a few easily transportable games - Carcassonne, Modern Art, Lluna Lena (aka Full Moon), and one more party-like game I can't remember the name of right now.

I've never heard of these. Back in my day it was Risk, Clue, Monopoly, etc. Though we did play a game called Masterpiece, that might be like your Modern Art game. Nevertheless, sure, if we can find time.

I think I might be interested, but I've never even heard of any of those games!

Awesome - me and my girlfriend would definitely be up for playing a game or two! I might bring along Settlers of Catan if I have room in my luggage and people are interested...?

Jared and I would definitely be interested - but we've never heard of any of these, either. As long as you're willing to teach, we're in to play! :goodvibes

So I was supposed to spend this whole weekend getting ready for the cruise, instead I decided to lay around the house and then go to Atlantic City today! All I can say is that it is a good thing Disney does not have a casino on board!

I did however get out of the house yesterday to purchase some Euros which I did at Chase bank, the rate was 1.33.

Maybe I can fit in some laundry tonight......

Up late, think about last minute details. All packed now, leaving for New york tomorrow. Flight to Barcelona is Tuesday and arrive on Wed. See everyone there. I'm so excited:rotfl::rotfl:

Before heading to bed:cloud9:. " HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" to all the wonderful moms. May you all have a Magical Day.:wizard:

We fly from Boston on Tuesday and get to Barcelona on Wed. :)

Have a good flight!

No need to freek out about packing, like Jeff said, make a list, add/subtract, make a pile, and pack the day before you fly.

BTH:dance3:

Not sure if we will have time, but we are brining Bang, Bunco, Yahtzee and Cribbage.

BTH:)

Susan couldn't stand it anymore so she's broken out the suitcases and printed off the packing lists from the website. We're not actually packing anything yet but she's laid out the clothes/shoes she's going to pack to think it through. I'm doing the last of the lanyards/name cards so if anyone else wants one, speak up. adrian? jlwhitley? aldapl? bueller? :)

You guys think you have it bad, I am packing up all my possessions and packing for the trip at the same time. I am moving back home on Wednesday and leaving for BCN on Thursday, I think I am nuts!

I don't know how the heck you're doing that! You're right. Yours is worse!

Sayhello

Well... I'm done packing! Unlike most, I actually like to pack, and I'm all done with mine and Jared's luggage, except for the last minute stuff that we use every day. Now all that's left to do is wait. I hope this week goes fast!
