Can anyone figure out a reason that they haven't released ANY June reservations for this yet? I've been trying since 180 days out and the last day on the reservation calendar it will let you even check for availability is May 31.

I am in the same boat. My first Day is May 31st and looking to get a reservation in the first 2 weeks of June.....

Ditto! I posted a similar question on the reservation board. When I tried again this morning, the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza viewing will not even pull up. I keep getting the someone ate the page screen. :confused3

It's the weirdest thing. I'll update if I see anything open up.

In my experience, this happens fairly often with the dessert parties. I've had times when they release them at 180, I've had times it's been less than a month before. Just keep checking.. just keep checking...

Ours didn't open at the 180 day mark for a mid-may trio but it did open a week later.

For what ever reason the schedule has been wonky for may and june.

Just did this party last night. For anyone going in the next couple of holiday weeks, as a heads up, they are letting people into the party early. 12/17, I have texts going back and forth with my in-laws who were sitting near Tomorrowland Terrace just hanging out until the time for the party.

6:51pm - In-laws: we are at the Terrace Already

6:51pm - Me: Did they let you in?

6:52pm - In-laws: no, just sitting outside on main street. They said we can't get in until 7:45pm and there will be plenty of room for the 300 people attending the party

7:09pm - In-laws: People are starting to line up, which seems silly. We are being silly and are in line.

7:11pm - Me: We are heading to the bathrooms by you

7:13pm - In-laws: Come now, they are moving in. They are starting the party now so people can see the fireworks (what they meant was so people can actually get to the fireworks viewing area)

So, we were inside the party probably around 7:20pm and were maybe the 5th table to be seated. I grabbed sparkling cider and Mickey Straw kabob plates for each of the kids then sent everyone up to the buffet. FYI, there are two identical sides to the buffet. There was a line for the right side while you could basically walk right up to the left side.

Brought a small Christmas treat box so my kids wouldn't make themselves sick. Took home some macaroons (which my kids decide they adore) and a few other things off of DS11's second plate before he made himself sick (my DS7 at Club Cool in Epcot is a completely different story).

We were ready to head out of there at 8pm. Had an escort down to the Plaza Garden viewing area. My in-laws and our stuff sat against the back edge of the viewing area. DH decided an hour was too long to wait, so we took the kids on the People Mover. 8:27pm I get a text from my father in law asking when we are coming back as it is getting "crowded". We were on our way back, stopped at the bathroom, then went back to the viewing area. The viewing area was nowhere near crowded relative to what was going on outside of the area. The CM's were impressive though. We sat down and played "chopsticks" while we waited. A couple next to us had playing cards they were playing. And we watched the hordes who didn't have spots in the hub try to merge and file out through the bypass. And this, is where the trouble is for those attending the party, and why the party started early. From 8:30-8:45, there was a huge bottleneck of people merging trying to get through the bypass. To the point my father in law looked over and asked, "why are all those people just standing there?" And I said, 'Because there's nowhere for them to go."

And then, 8:45pm-9pm, it was totally calm. The entire path behind the viewing area was completely clear. The walkway outside the area was clear other than the small standing room area. The CM's somehow got all of those masses out through the bypass.

Which, BTW, I pointed out the Bypass to my in-laws. They left out through it after the party and said they walked right onto the Ferry, while everyone else was still trying to get through Main Street.

And, HEA was amazing. Up until now, my favorite Disney show was World of Color at Disneyland, but this is at least a tie. I don't know if I'd splurge on the party more than once (although all of my kids vote this was their favorite thing we did this week), but it was a really wonderful experience (and HEA was SO good). I just recommend, on a level 10 day, get to the garden by 8:30pm. If you have a scooter or large stroller that you plan to push, get to the viewing area around 8pm.

Thanks so much for the write-up.

Can I get a couple questions?

Table Seating for desserts. Was there plenty of room or was there standing room to eat?

Viewing. Was it easy for everyone to see. You know how it always goes with tall guys and some with kids on their shoulders...

This Bypass to get out of the park. Do tell. Can you describe that route? The only thing on the Google Map that makes sense to me is a the back corner near the restrooms that would put you behind Starbucks and then exit somewhere behind the Guest Help Locker Rental area near the bus pickup?

Forgive the crude map, but the Main Street "bypass" is the pink line in the aerial below. For reference, the yellow circled area is the Plaza Garden viewing area.

As to the dessert party, this thread here may help with some of your questions, if you haven't seen it: Review: Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing

To quickly address here, there have always been plenty of tables when we've done it (and we like to arrive late). The view is typically very good. Usually no shoulder kids in the garden or anything like that, and it's usually possible to move around a bit to adjust your view if anything or anyone does happen to get in the way. FWIW, I prefer sitting towards the back wall.

Hope that helps!

My 180 days opens tomorrow and I'm hoping booking for the dessert party opens up soon. Does anyone know if I can book online with giftcards or is it CC only?

FWIW, the MK dessert parties aren't bookable past 5/31/2018 right now. I'm not sure about the gift card question.

I booked for November in July, so keep in mind it is not 180 days out. You'll just need to keep checking, unfortunately.

Are you allowed to take your desserts to the plaza lawn to eat them? Here's my dilemma...I booked plaza viewing for me, DH, DD and 4 of her friends. My daughter and her friends will be performing in a parade with their marching band around 6:30 in the MK that evening and may not make it to the party until 8:15 or so. (The party starts at 7:45 and HEA is at 9:00.) Do you think there will be time enough for them to grab some desserts and secure a spot on the lawn? (Easter break...crowds will be at a 10.) Debating on whether I should cancel this or not.

I called dining reservations around Dec. 1 asking about dessert event scheduling not available online and the cm told me it would be open Dec. 10th for my June 13th reservation :{ ??

They seemed to have tables set up specifically for each reservations party size. So our host looked for a table of 7 for us and ended up seating us at a table for 8. I do recommend grabbing a glass of sparkling cider on your way in to mark your table, otherwise guests coming in won't know that the table is taken, unless you have items to put on the table.

We stood against the back rail and we all had a great view. My hubby and I felt no guilt in putting two of our 3 boys on our shoulders because there was no one behind us. And our DS11 was able to see because there was several feet of open space in front of us. Everyone sat and relaxed until the show started.

And the bypass is by the restrooms, if you walk by it during the day I believe it looks like a giant wooden door/gate that says Plaza, but I'm working from memory here. You exit north of Tonys. But like I said, my in laws, who aren't speedwalkers, took the bypass after the fireworks and claim they walked onto a ferry. Even if you don't do the party we've always found that the most efficient way out right after fireworks when the park is crowded.
