Not excusing these people but it's also FloridaGuys, it like literally never happens where there are drunk people at Disney. If there was there would be video evidence. Oh wait.....
I'm pretty sure they do@JerrodDragon89 do you know if Oga's enforces their drink limits? When we were there last week, they told us we had 45 min and a 2 drink limit.
JD that's an excellent idea. Why don't you send it to Disneyland Guest Relations? Disney certainly has the technological ability to do that these days—although I imagine there will be significant skepticism here that Disney IT would implement it accurately. My point would be IF they get enough guests acting out, to put in place a system where they scan your ID and limit you to 2 drinks at any location that serves drinks in the parks.
I doubt anything will really change but that's just my idea if things somehow go wrong
They do enforce it.@JerrodDragon89 do you know if Oga's enforces their drink limits? When we were there last week, they told us we had 45 min and a 2 drink limit.
They told us the same.We were at Oga’s last weekend. They told us very specifically 2 drinks or 45 minutes, whichever comes first.
Yeah, ok. I’m so bitter. . So what, it’s my opinion and I shared it. One that happens to be shared with so many other “bitter” people.I dislike influencers as much as anyone here but this whole comment just reeks of bitterness. We are all disney adults here.
Actually, the majority of the videos I shared were from Disneyland. The combative man in front of ToT in DCA (that is the one that can only be watched on Youtube, it was on the news at the time because of how crazy it was), the mom at DCA who left her kids unattended in the stroller while mom and dad got some booze, the girl fighting with security on her way off Disney property near the Harbor entrance, the family in the parking structure, and security escorting the guys out in front of the train station at the beginning of Main Street. Not excusing these people but it's also Florida
They have different kinda travelers and guests
Disneyland is mostly local guests and while we are in the same country....there is also a reason we have the stereotype of "Florida man"
It's also partly on DIsney for not limiting drinks, with the internet you could even have it where you have to scan an ID to get a drink and if they go to another location to get more drinks stop them from buying them
Conflated? Hahaha. It’s so easy to create hard definitions in the microcosm that Disboards exists in.I agree with you. I feel like the two are conflated, when they are two seperate things. If asked to define the terms:
Disney Adult-An adult who enjoys going to Disney theme parks, movies, and collects merch.
A Disney influencer- Someone who creates Disney themed content for thier social media platforms/accounts based on the theme parks, movies, and merch. An influencer may have a large/substantial following on social media, or the influencer may believe thier following is much larger than it is in reality.
Disneysea has alcohol though? I remember being able to get a beer there.I'm someone who is very upset about this.
I don't really drink at all, once in a while I'll have one but it's not often.
I can't stand the fact that Disneyland is having more alcohol. I don't see the need for it, surely you can go to a family friendly theme park and lay off the drink for one day??
I always think it's a "land of fantasy, make believe" etc, I want my reality kept outside of Disneyland. Now it's spilling over.
Sigh, another reason to frequent the Tokyo Parks instead of the US ones...
I feel fortunate that my family has not experienced what you have mentioned above. I too, think there will be increase in the ugly behavior of those that over indulge. We have all seen the "Karen" videos over the last few years increase and when you add alcohol to the mix it will unfortunately get worse.Actually, the majority of the videos I shared were from Disneyland.
I agree that Florida has a different clientele (geez, that sounds elitist) and you will see way worse behavior there, but there are videos existing of drunks inside Disneyland before they increase accessibility. In my head, the greater accessibility to alcohol will create an environment where the behavior shown in the videos becomes more common. Maybe I'll be wrong, and I hope that I am for the sake of the family-friendly environment the park promotes.
Booze is available in both Tokyo parks.Sigh, another reason to frequent the Tokyo Parks instead of the US ones...
Was gonna say, it's been like that since before the pandemic.Booze is available in both Tokyo parks.
