Ok -- I am now about to head out for my spa retreat at the Spa Aria and meet up with a spa therapist that just totally made my day...thank you
(The spa is located in Hotel Monteleone)

Ya know, it has been quite a pleasure writing this travel blog as I found out just a few days before I left the Dallas area that there are a few people from the City of New Orleans.com reading this blog as well as a various other pretty neat people as I have been really doing my best to write this giving my various opinions as I go about my various Nawlins adventures.....


and speaking of adventures....


I will release this -


it gives me a great pleasure to announce that the Tour leader on this adventure (Jennifer J)

is now working on having me on a GoCollette.com adventure to.......


PARIS FRANCE

complete with a day trip to DISneyland Paris.



Yes, I understand that there no doubt will be some things that I will have to book on my own but I get a feeling that this will happen as no doubt yes.....


you WILL see me blog about this -

a place that I have always wanted to see.
and yes, both she and I have expressed a desire to lose weight so we both will be motivating each other as you can tell by the above picture that well....

I wanna look nice for my next trip and once she forwards me the information, the quest is on and yes, you will see it in my blog as I really desire to look nice for DISney Mickey and friends.

A LITTLE BIT OF THIS AND A LITTLE BIT OF THAT ON MY DAY 5 n NAWLINS.....

The overall highlight of the day of course would have to be .....hands down - my spa retreat at the Hotel Monteleon. and yes, Ellen - I had every intention of eating a nice meal at your Hotel but when I got there, it was crammed packed w/people (wedding reception)


but......it was so much dang fun talking with the Bride for a few moments......


Thus, I spied Mr B's Restaurant across the street and had a meal that just couldn't be beat. So, thank you for the kind suggestion.




Now
earlier in the day - it was quite a treat visiting the Garden district area as it was really really REALLY quite a treat seeing those homes.

VERY IMPRESSIVE
and combined with learning about the different parts of the city, the different ways each decade of houses in the 1900's were built and made and why just made the tour that much more enjoyable.



And with that, alas!! Its "that time." Time to start talking about my departure day.

** DAY 6 AKA 'DEPARTURE DAY**

But....
I always do my best to not make it a sad day but a day of just having fun enjoying the sights and sounds of the city that I am visiting so.......

At little dizzys restaurant now for one last bit of fun here n Nawlins - very quaint restaurant - I like it -

and -

Now, INHO - ya want a home cooked meal? Then head on over to this place cuz their Jambalaya omlettes, hash browns & biscuts put a smile on me and my belly in no time.

FYI - I'm getting better at eating there as IMHO, there are many techniques to eat that Beignet - what I am finding out that works best is about 1/3 way thru, just scoop up about half a spoon of powdered sugar and drop it in yo mouth..then take a spoon full of hot chocolate THEN take a bite of the beignet & VIOLA!! - your mouth taste buds come alive with Nawlins magic

Back now at Bourbon Orleans Hotel - getting ready to head em on back to DFW airport

and when I told Mr Cornish (breakfast side of the Borbourn Orleans Hotel) of my adventures at Lil Dizzy's, I made his day and had him laughing and a smiling

OVERALL FEELINGS, REACTIONS AND OTHER WHAT NOT ABOUT MY TRIP N2 NEW ORLEANS

From the food, people to the atmosphere - New Orleans

IMHO is a fun place to visit, unwind and enjoy a little bit a r&r as its your vacation, your pace as you set your pocketful of memories that you will take back home when you leave.

But before we get into where I'm off to next-

Right now

"Im having fun right conversing with the New Orleans historical characters ...imo know who you are conversing with and the conversations are priceless.

For example , in the first picture ... 2nd person from the right - it was so funny me trying to "stay in character" while Having a brief conversation and during it, trying to explain to him about this amusement ride out "west of the carolinas" and it's a boat ride....and you get into these little boats


at an entrance named after him (POTC). Took him a few minutes but he caught on and his reaction just had me laughing as that was the last memory of visiting Nawlins b4 memories of Ladybug began to creep back n2 my heart .

Anywho -

Looking forward to checking Ladybug
out of her Hotel for extremely spoiled Pooches at noon on Sunday -

And to me , the best tip overall is...
Just remember when visiting Nawlins , please be sure to stay hydrated-
