Maybe I should post a complete update:

free dining could be dropping on April 24. Minimum of 4 nights, maximum of 14, with park hopper or park hopper plus add on. Check-in dates: 8/13-9/30, 11/14-11/20, 11/25-11/27, 12/8-12/23. It also appears that values AND moderates may get quick service, with regular dining only for deluxe resorts. French Quarter, All Star Movies, and Mermaid rooms at AOA appear to be excluded. Riverside appears to only be included through September.

Here is all of it updated for those who ask.
Thanks Black.

What part of it is pricing you out?

I guess we have been spoiled these last 10 years with free dining. The moderates only getting quick service is number one. And park hoppers are a waste for us most the time. I am going to do the math- however if this is indeed the offer that drops, we will more than likely be taking our vacation on a cruise. It's just hard to justify the price of our normal Disney trip going up even more( which it has every year) but in order to be able to do Disney the way we enjoy, a cruise is just more price feasible and our kids are 21 and 17. They love Disney but as a parent the price just keeps getting steeper and steeper for less perks. We like pop century and art of animation- those would be the only 2 values we will stay at, however 4 basically adult in one of those rooms for 8 nights gets cramped. Idk , just bummed about the offer not being as inticing as in the past.

Minimum 4 night stay - what is the minimum for tickets? Is it also 4 or perhaps 2 or 3?

I get that!!

But you're not including the type of room that might be needed to get FD, the park hopper add-on, the ability to get discounted tickets elsewhere. Even with just a room only and not figuring in all the other, at 25%, the room would need to be $560/night. If it's 30% $466. Neither of those are out of the realm of possibility
I did look at all rooms only club level is really high enough everything else when I searched was under $400 for two adults. I also always forget about the park hopper since I would never go without one so dropping that helps also. Still tough at wl to find a discount on a room only good enough to drop free dining.

Last year adding the free dining online worked out so well. I woke up at 3am went to the computer... hit revise free dining and I had it... then we had to cancel the trip. This year I am more nervous that it won't work out. I can't remember if I already had free dining added and just revised it or what last year. What do you guys think... is it better to add dining to my reservation right now and then revise for free dining or add the dining Monday. Starting to get excited and stressed!

I know we don't know when it will drop, but if it did drop at 4 am wouldn't it be hard to book since the WDW website is down/updating usually from 4-5:30 ish approximately

Opinions please...:) If money didn't matter (and I wish that was the case) where would you stay? We are a family of 5 (3 teenage daughters). POR any view (been there twice, loved it), Poly standard view, BC garden view? I'm stuck, can't decide!!!!

I love the Poly! any of the monorail resorts, really... And i would never stay anywhere else but those three! BUT- I have young kids and I think if I had teenagers I would stay at BC. I feel like they'd enjoy that atmosphere more!

This site is down during that time every night, not the disney one (the disney site isn't nearly that reliable haha)
