I agree with CRSNDSNY!!! It is the 50th Ann and you have never been to DL. I haven't either  but that is what I would pick without a doubt :3dglasses

Well even though it's too late - I voted for Las Vegas. Everyone should see it at least once. I want to go back sometime soon to see the new $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Wynn Resort. There are so many good shows to see and don't tell anyone, but I love visiting all the casinos - not to gamble (I just do a little bit of that because I need to save money for our WDW trips, LOL), but to check out all the bathrooms! Talk about opulent & magnificent!

FWIW, I think you really want to go to either WDW or DL - why else would you have posted such a question on this board. It's not like we are objective or anything, LOL!

Have fun - no matter where you end up.

Best wishe s-

WDW is my favorite, been to and enjoyed Maine and Vegas, but since it's YOUR trip and you've never been to Disneyland I voted for that. There is something special about being in the park where Walt actually lived, walked and breathed. I just loved being there and thinking how Walt once walked where I was now walking, and imagining him surveying his domain.

There are a couple of really cool attractions that can only be found there--Indiana Jones Adventure and Alice in Wonderland were my two favorites. The Pirates ride at DL is actually longer and better than the one at WDW, and I don't say that lightly, it's one of my favorite attractions at WDW. It's very interseting to experience DL after going to WDW repeatedly. And you'll be easy driving distance of LA and all there is to see there if you're interesed.

Especially with the 50 year anniversary going on now, I think you'll really enjoy seeing a different Disney Theme Park. (oh and the Grand Calfornian is beautiful and convenient).

Can i vote for two options??

Fly rt to vegas (cheaper than california), spend a two nites, rent a car drive to california Disneyland for a three nites, back to vegas, two more nites
fly home.

yeah i know its a Longggg weekend. but yu get both of two worlds with only one airline costs

No better time to visit Disneyland than during the celebration!

I voted Disneyland. More temperate than WDW in the summer and it seems a perfect year to visit to celebrate the 50th anniversary. :sunny:

My wife (actually girlfriend/fiance at the time) and I actually lived in Southern Maine for several years.
We lived in The Old Port on Exchange Street, The Brunswick in Old Orchard Beach, and another apartment in OOB. :drinking:

Oh ya, been there! Well, except for that apartment in OOB. Mine was on the West End, and Deering, and Rosemont................

The Brunswick in OOB! Oh, haven't thought about all those nights I spent in OOB in High School and College summers for soooooo loooooong. Now I avoid it like the plague!

I voted DL, since you've never been there and it is the 50th anniversary. Once you get over the shock of Sleeping Beauty's castle. (it's really short), the park is wonderful. IASW is so much better than WDW's. And there's the Matterhorn and Indiana Jones.

Have fun deciding. :flower:

Since I live near Boston and can visit Maine any time, I cast my vote for WDW! I would love to got to DL but a weekend wouldn't be long enough for me. Annmarie

Picked Maine as it is close and not a big city. For me, weekend getaways need to be close to home and away from cities.

Just bringing everyone up to date (as if you really care :teeth: )...
WDW has it, and we leave for our 4 day 3 night getaway at The Polynesian early tomorrow morning...

Aloha!... :drinking:
