Our Greatest Adventure: A 15 day wedding/honeymoon extravaganza!

Wanted to squeeze in a quick update!



We rode the monorail and upon entering the Magic Kingdom, headed straight back to New Fantasyland. We were going to be the Beast’s guests and I was ecstatic!

We took a quick picture by Gaston’s statue.

And then by the door. (Now, to whoever was nice enough to take our picture, thank you, but couldn’t you do a better job, you know, getting the whole door and stained glass in? Just saying.)

Then, it was FINALLY time to enter the castle I've wanted to go inside every since I saw that library for the first time in the movie![/URL][/URL]

We were led through the doors into the receiving area and I almost cried. The restaurant was so beautiful and exactly as it had appeared in the movie. Disney at its best.

We were sat in the ballroom and I couldn’t get over all the details. The ceiling, the falling snow, the rose napkin, it was wonderful.



I started with a very yummy salad.

And Cory started with the soup. I tried it and immediately wanted to steal it. So good!

For dinner Cory had the pork, I believe, and I had the steak. It was very good, but not great.

I absolutely loved the cupcake cart that they wheeled around. Yum!

We were given the gray stuff to celebrate our wedding and it was delicious. Even better than the cupcake.

After dinner we wanted to take a quick tour of the castle, before meeting the beast.

We went closer to the windows. The falling snow was done so well. I kind of wished we were seated by the window for the meal.

I really wish they had the library. I understand it would be weird to eat in there, but it is SO beautiful…

After dinner we wanted to do one last ride before catching the fireworks in our room, the PeopleMover! This is an absolute favorite of ours to just relax and take in the sounds of Disney.

I've heard good and bad reviews of dinner at BOG. We usually eat lunch there and I always get the pork. I'm tempted to try the soup. It looks good.

The PeopleMover is one of our favorites, too. Our son and grandsons were lucky enough to ride it when the lights were on in Space Mountain.

The view of the fireworks looks amazing. I'm always surprised that there aren't more people on their balconies during Wishes.

I've been sneaking peeks of your updates but I realized I hadn't started from the beginning.. ahh!

OK so I just read up through the end of page 2, your wedding, and I admit I teared up reading everything. You made an absolutely beautiful bride and I just love that every aspect of your wedding had touches of things you and Cory love - that's what it's all about! We got engaged in Disney and we're getting married in September 2016.. we considered a Disney wedding but ultimately it will be in Pittsburgh with a few Disney touches.. So I am loving your report so far!!

So we last left off with us at reception, trying to get our room switched. After a lengthy process, probably close to 30 minutes, we were given another room. They led us to our new room which was actually one of their cottages! Talk about a serious upgrade.

OMG.. Serious upgrade. Perfect for your wedding/honeymoon!! Looks like it was amazing.

Tonight was the night I had been planning for as long as the wedding. I wanted to have a dinner at ‘Ohana for our close family and friends before the big dessert party

I am obsessed with Ohana - it sounds like the BEST way to kick off a wedding celebration! Who doesn't love endless food and bread pudding!?

The food, as always was so delicious! Everyone could not tell us enough how much they loved it!

I took my mom, cousin and aunt here on our last trip and they raved about it as well. Can't go wrong with Ohana.

We got the announcement from our planner that Wishes would be starting. Everyone moved toward the front of the area and we had the music piped in. Most of our guests had never seen Wishes before and everyone loved it! It was so incredibly magical to be watching my favorite fireworks show with everyone and sharing our love of Disney.

I absolutely love this!! The Star Wars dessert party, Wishes, etc. How thoughtful of you to organize all of that, and how FUN!

I should start off our wedding day by saying that my one goal was to make Cory cry from happiness, which has never happened. Let’s see if I can make that happen…

My goal as well. LOL! I love your pictures from the day. Your makeup did turn out fantastic - and everyone's hair looks great, too.

The bridesmaids made their way down the aisle to He Mele No Lilo from Lilo and Stitch.

I have some crazy love for this song and I don't know why, hahaha. Ok, you're inspiring me.. how to fit this into our wedding!?

And then it was my turn to walk down the aisle with my mom and dad. I definitely felt a little nervous that everyone would be staring at me. I walked down to the Main Title song from Little Mermaid.

I love the pictures. Your mom's blue dress is such a perfect color! And I absolutely love your dress as well.

Your reception looks like SO MUCH FUN!! One big dance party, I love it. That's the point of a reception anyways, right!? To get to dancing and eat some delicious food to celebrate your big day!!

We had such yummy food including our favorite, Tonga Toast! Everyone RAVED about it and they even made a gluten free version for our celiac friends and they said it was one of the best things they’ve eaten!

YUM! I have been wanting to try Tonga Toast. I think we're going to do Kona on our trip in November.

I forgot to mention that 15 minutes before the ceremony, he actually passed out a bit from the heat. Cory’s dad is a doctor and made sure he was okay, but that means we didn’t get a ton in here.

Oh m g.. A photographer passing out does not sound ideal! Lol

We got changed into our clothes, Cory the same as before, and me into new shoes and a new dress. It was really important to me that I had a shorter dress to dance in because let me tell you, and you will soon see, we like to boogie! I also wanted to match a look of a more art deco theme like the Atlantic Dance Hall.

I love your new dress.. how fun!

I was super happy to find this dress reduced at David’s Bridal and I almost made my goal of getting both of my dress for $1000, it ended up being about $1,150. I was lucky when it came to sales for both of them.

Ummm you did awesome! I love them both.

Last but certainly not least, in an outfit change also, was my Dad’s welcome/thank you speech.

Love your dad's outfit change too, haha. How fun.

Then, people got started eating. There was a picture though I HAD to have, so we set out with our photographer to catch it.

At the end of the AMAZING reception, the bridal party decided to all end the night by jumping into the Boardwalk's pool, so that's what we did! (Please note: The boys had to return their suits in the morning to Men's Wearhouse which is why they went sans suits lol)

It was then on to Germany where most of us grabbed a beer, a grapefruit beer for me, which was interesting.

That's my favorite beer in the World Showcase!! How did you like it?

Tonight, our reservation was at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. We have eaten here numerous times before and it’s one of our favorite dinners. We had invited Cory’s parents along, but his dad wasn’t feeling well. His mom though still decided to join us.

We took the boat over to the Lodge and I really enjoyed these couple of minutes. The lake is so quiet and peaceful and while the sun was starting it’s descent, it was such a lovely moment with my new husband.

Oooh, Artist Point we are hoping to eat here next trip.. what did you get?

Wood Nymph: Yeah, we haven’t had lunch there yet, but we’ve done dinner a few times now. The soup is fantastic, but otherwise, it’s really all for the atmosphere. Oh, I love that your son and grandsons rode the PeopleMover, so many people overlook it as being lame, but getting to see Space Mountain all lit up is an awesome thing to see. I don’t know what’s wrong with people and not using their balconies! We were out there almost every night. It’s so magical!

Vernie822: Hello, there! Thank you for joining and all your comments! You are too sweet, thank you thank you! Congrats on your engagement! I love weddings with Disney touches, it’s all about what you two love and incorporating into your day. Love to hear of another Ohana lover, it’s soo drool worthy. The song from Lilo and Stitch was so perfect for the processional. I really just picked it because I loved it and it worked! When our planner asked us what our theme was and what we wanted we said a big dance party! That’s what a reception is all about in our eyes. Yes! You must do Tonga Toast! Ugh, I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. Oh, I really liked that grapefruit beer. I definitely like the fruitier things and that was right up my alley. You MUST try Artist Point! Such a hidden little place but a true gem, definitely one of the best Disney restaurants. I got the buffalo which was super interesting. Not something I’d eat all the time, but very tasty. I believe Cory got the Scallops which he loved and his mom got the Salmon. It was all fantastic!!

Hello everyone! We waited in the long line in the very hot sun to finally meet Gaston. A favorite villain of mine, I couldn’t wait to interact with him.

One morning, we woke up early for the Keys to the Kingdom tour. It was super fun and interesting. I knew a lot of the facts already, but there was some new things, plus we got to go in the utilidors! The only two pics to prove this happened, because you’re not allowed to take any…

For any of you that don’t know, fun fact, that brown path is supposed to represent the rivers of toilet waste that used to flow down the streets…awesome!

One of my favorite Star Wars quotes is from Padme, “Hold me like you did on Naboo.” So a picture was in order.

Cory loves the apples from Villains in Vogue. He got a caramel with peanuts, but this apple was my favorite. I’m allergic, within the past 3 years, to raw apples, so it would literally be a poison apple to me. Haha

And then, our trip was over! 15 days in the wonderful Disney World were over. It was a fantastic vacation, with our wedding, all our events, and honeymoon. It was everything I had been dreaming of since I was a little girl, and more!
