Our Super Deluxe 10th Anniversary PTR @ WL May 2010 w/ Deluxe Dining & Lots of Photos

P.I. Squirrel: We are on our way to Disney tomorrow morning!! I'll let you know how our trip goes. Believe me, our kids are not happy we are going without them! But they are adults, they will get over it. :rotfl2: We are planning a trip to Disney with a large part of our extended family in a year or so. It's nice to take a trip with just the two of us once in a while. But we do love the whole family thing too!

We will definitely let you know how we like Narcooseese. I love fish and my dh loves steak.

Disney here we come!! :yay:

Mrs D

Wish we were there. Have fun (and a lot of ralaxation) :yay:

Well, updates will be hard to come by for a short time, as we pack our house. We have found a new home (not new, but new to us), so we are in the process of packing and cleaning. We will be moving in about three weeks, to a place which is only 1.5 miles from the interstate. This will reduce my commute to work by 15 minutes each way. We also won't face a 20 minute drive just to get groceries or fast food. :cool1:

I'll be posting updates, as I get time, on the move and what we are expecting from this trip in May
.

How exciting!! A new house! ENjoy the process!

ok till next time everyone.. off to Facebook:thumbsup2 :lmao:

I'd give a lot for one of these right now!! Fresh veggies of any kind are impossible to find. Yum! Spring can't come soon enough!

Oh yes!!! Garden Grill has the best salad. You can really tell the difference between veggies picked that day, and ones place on your grocer's shelf for a week. The salad is what I look forward to the most at GG.

Well, this weekend was fairly busy, and it's not near over yet.

First, we paid off one of our two cars Friday.:banana::banana:
We made plans long ago to move towards a debt free life. This is the first step towards that. The second is this home purchase. By buying, we are saving almost half off from our rental payments. Super yay!!! Now, the only other monthly payment we have is our SUV, and we have two years left on that. Hopefully, we can add some savings from our home payment to help pay off the SUV early.

Next, we had to sign some documents ahead of our closing. That was fun money to part with. :thumbsup2

Then, I spent quite some time last night removing the mirror from Alexis' wall. We will be installing it in her new room. The problem was that when I installed it (it's a big mirror) I did such a super job with the adhesive, it wouldn't come off. :lmao: So, I spent almost an hour taping it, since I just knew it was going to shatter into a million shards of glass when I tried prying it off the wall. But get this. There was a point in which I gave up trying to get it off in one piece, and was resorting to breaking it, then getting it off piece by piece. So, I hit it with a hammer. Nothing... So I hit it again...This thing just would not break!!!:confused3 So, now that I knew how durable this mirror actually was, I resumed prying. It worked, but it took some of the sheetrock with it. I had planned on this, and had picked up some plaster ahead of time. I patched the wall, and now I'm waiting for it to dry before I can sand and paint. But, the Super Bowl is getting in the way.

Geaux Saints!!!!

When i was little one of my favorite memories at disney was of the Main Street Electrical Parade because I they had Pete's Dragon in it..

Well ......
Main Street Electrical Parade is coming back to Disney World!! Yay!! They say June but I sure hope they start it the last week of may so i can see it again...

here's the news story...

Main Street Electrical Parade to return to Disney World
tdd_MSEP.jpg

Great news for fans of “thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sounds”: Walt Disney World will bring back the classic Main Street Electrical Parade to the Magic Kingdom this summer.

Other changes around Walt Disney World: A new Magic Kingdom fireworks show, and new effects at Hollywood Studios’ Tower of Terror, including a change to the drop sequence.

But it’s the return of the Electrical Parade, the most beloved parade in Disney history, that will have Disney fans rejoicing.

As part of a seasonal promotion called “Summer Nightastic!,” the parade is being shipped from the Disneyland resort in California. Although it’s the classic parade, it will have some tweaks: A new Tinker Bell presentation at the head of the parade, and floats dedicated to Snow White and Pinocchio.

On the technology front, the lights will now be LED bulbs and there is new audio technology being employed.

“Even the music is guaranteed to bring back Disney memories,” said Walt Disney World president Meg Crofton Wednesday evening.

The return of ELP, as aficionados abbreviate it, is expected to take place in June; it will run through the summer.

The parade debuted at Walt Disney World in 1977 and ran until 1991, when it was replaced by the SpectroMagic parade. It later returned for a limited engagement from 1999-2001.

It has been showing at peak times at Disney’s California Adventure park in Anaheim during the past few years. The California parks had a Summertime Nightastic! promotion this past summer.

I'm so happy for you guys, this sounds like a fabulous trip. It sounds like everything is going great for you with the new house, the ballet role and the SW weekend. Good things come to great people!

Heather
Working on that debt-free thing myself and trying to tell myself I *don't* have to go back to WDW this fall...

Stoked you could pay off the one car!! Being debt free is fantastic!!

I, for one, am very glad they are bringing back the ELP!! It was a staple of my childhood years and still brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear the music! Seriously hoping it stays even in Sept!!!

I hope to get surprised with the Electrical parade too. One of my favorites too! :thumbsup2

I honestly have no idea if I saw MSEP when I first visited WDW back in 2000. Maybe Amanda can remind me. I am looking forward to seeing it.

You wouldn't believe how many times I'm counting my blessings recently. It just seems everything is falling into place.

Sometimes I wonder if Disney is just teasing us with restarting ELP, or if maybe they've listened to a lot of folks saying they wish things would go more original on a permanent basis, i.e. Tiki Room.
