Question about Mickey's Halloween Party

Hi All,

I understand that if you don't have a ticket for MNSSHP, you have to leave the park at 6 pm. I have an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation for the kids at 5:45 pm. After we are done, do you think we will be allowed to take pictures before we leave the park? We just want to take pictures behind and in front of the castle. I'm hoping photo pass people will still take our picture.

Thanks.

So the BBB appointments take about 35-45 minutes, you won't be getting out of the boutique until around 6:30. At that point you will likely be stopped if you try and go back to the castle, but you might be able to get a photopass shot or two from main street looking toward the castle. Just understand that the lines will be getting longer from party guests arriving (Party guests can enter the park at 4pm and people definitely take the time to get photos on main street when they arrive) so you may not have time for a ton of photos in the half hour before you will be required to leave the park.

Thank you. I thought we had to be out by 6pm. Is it 7pm? BBB is inside the castle so I was just going to walk to the back take a few pictures then walk to the front and take some pictures with photopass and then leave.

At 6 they start sweeping the parks back to front and if you don't have a wristband you are ushered toward the front of the parks to main street. Just be prepared that as you exit, they may not allow you to go to the back of the castle for photos since it will be close to 6:30 by the time you leave the boutique. By 6:30 they are moving everyone to main street and asking people to finish up purchases in the gift shops. By 7pm they have all non party guests out of the park.

With a 5:45 appointment, it is highly likely they will be running late, especially on a party day when party goers may be trying to get their girls ready for the party. I'll be surprised if you're even done by 7:00. The closer to 7:00 it is, the less likely you'll be able to get ANY photos. And if it is after 7:00, you definitely won't get any photos; they will nicely escort you out. If getting pictures is important to you, I'd change this appointment.

Not sure if they are still doing it, but used to also be a short photo session after BBB across the way inside of the store outside the back of the castle. I know the appointment is hard to come by, but I would consider trying to move yours earlier if possible, first to not have to worry about getting your castle pics in a rush, but also for them to enjoy the day with their makeover! It's a magical experience to enjoy and you are putting out the money for it, so it would be nice to have plenty of time to get photos, meet characters, etc afterwards. With the current situation, appointments may open up with trips being cancelled/rescheduled, so doesn't hurt to check. With the park closing early, you could also consider hopping on the monorail and doing dinner at 1900PF with Cinderella and stepsisters after which is fun.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. What time of day do you think would be ideal? I don't want to miss the early morning time on the rides. Maybe right before lunch?

It really depends on your family and the other plans you have for the day. We've always had appointments around 10:00/10:30 am. That gave us time to ride a few rides in the AM when lines were shorter and also allowed the girls time to enjoy their makeovers for the majority of the day. For us, I wasn't willing to pay $$ for BBB otherwise. While the hairstyles last well into the 2nd day, the make-up and special-ness of the experience do not. It's all really personal preference.
