For the person asking about a special adr, I have Boma on one of my HS days. I figure I might have to cancel that (modify and cancel to avoid fees) but no way to know until I'm there. I've also looked at the days after in case of breakdown and FP situations. I could need to choose between FOP and RotR. It feels better to prepare emotionally for these possibilities but there's just too much unknown to know now. I know that drives the planners crazy but I find I change things around in the moment often and I bet most of you do too. It's fun to plan the perfect day but in this case flexibility is your friend.

Yep! That's one of the issues...it will take a while to get over to HDDR so we need to take that into consideration.

Honestly I would keep trying to switch HDDR to another day - even after you arrive. There may be some cancellations even just 24 hours out

This is probably the only clear advice that be given at this point. I would agree that this would be a very good move if possible.

150 today at 5:42 vs 129 yesterday. They might (or will likely??) stop calling BGs 1 hr earlier than yesterday due to the earlier closing time. But since there are EMHs, it’s possible that they could load the line up a bit more prior to regular close by calling back some extra groups??
I guess we will know more in the next 90 minutes.

So, with a 7am park open and the park opening on average about 30 minutes early, do all of the rides open that early or are they just letting people in @7am to get a BG? No rides open - You stand around until 6:59am and then ferociously refresh your app to grab a BG before heading off to the rides.

We tried 2 times during our recent trip last week. Both times, BGs opened right at park opening (6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.) and both times the CMs in front of the crowd gave a minute or so after official park opening before moving the crowd, assuming giving people a chance to hopefully get into boarding groups before having to walk briskly. Both times we got into boarding groups before the CMs started moving.

For my March trip so far I have moved my Flying Fish Dinner to 9:25pm my HS day from 7pm so far. Figured I'll monitor the situation closer to the day (any adjustment of hours etc). I have No other ADRs for that day just incase and planning an early day. Just for reference staying at boardwalk so figured we would crawl into bed after the long day ending in Flying Fish.

There would be the cancellation/no show fee if you only cancel of, though if you explain the reason you need to cancel is due to the RotR boarding group I would think you could get it waived

I understand the notion of boarding passes. Do you know if one person can bring the fast passes and check the in and get in the queue for boarding passes. Or does everyone need to be in attendance? My family aren’t a bunch of early risers, so I’m trying out ideas.

No. Everyone that wants to ride has to have entered into the park to get a boarding pass.

I should know this but I don’t (I’m sure someone does), but HDDR is a pre-paid meal... I didn’t think you could modify day of like that. (But again, may be wrong)

I think I've figured out the majority of acronyms, but can someone elaborate the GET CMs? I get CMs mean cast members but are the GETs the blue shirts and what does it stand for? Just want to be sure.

No worries, that’s a good question. It stands for Guest Experience Team.

This is something relatively new in the parks (rolled out over the last year or so). They have blue shirts and are stationed around a blue umbrella at various spots around the parks (they aren’t just at DHS, they are at all of them). They have iPads (or whatever handheld electronic they use) and are equipped to handle various guest relations needs.

Coming from Ireland I'm sure it's the same. Do you think it's best with 2 phones to use one on WiFi and 1 on data? I'm guessing if before opening time bars are low on phone to both switch to data.

If you have two phones I’d say it couldn’t hurt for one to use data and the other to try wi-fi.

I don’t know when they reached 174... (I was asleep, sorry guys )... but that appears to be the end. I roughly estimate that they called it around 7pm which would be expected.
