Renting out points as a new owner

If your 2018 Trip is with your points, then you can call Member Services and have them use your 2017 points first after banking them. Now any excess 2018 points become bankable to 2019 UY.
This is a key move that you should be doing every year.

nope our 2018 trip was booked by renting points by another DVC owner. We had been eyeing DVC and didnt think we would be buying yet, well a good deal came up and we jumped on it. So no the 2018 trip is not our points. but going forward yes we always want to book the cheapest studio possible to stretch those 100 points and keep banking over the rest.
