Sit down! Buckle up! & Hang On! Mickeystoontown's Gang is going to Walley World!
***Side note: I type my installments in Word Perfect and then copy and paste here. Apparently, the Dis doesn't like Word Perfect punctuation because it will show up sometimes and sometimes it won't. UGH!
Its that time again....time to start planning our next trip to Walley World! Time for the plans to start shaping up! Time for us to begin gathering what we need! Time to round up the troops! Who the heck am I kidding? Certainly not myself or those of you who have followed my previous trip reports. Yall know that Im in constant Disney trip planning mode, there isn't any time to start Its a given that well go to Walt Disney World every Summer. Havent missed an annual trip to Disney in sixteen, count em, sixteen years. Weve even thrown in a couple of extra trips to Disney besides our Summer trips.
I really need to stop here and introduce Mickeystoontowns Gang to you before I go any further. I had to search the world over before I found a decent picture of all of us together. Here we are at my nieces wedding last March.
Dont we all look so sweet and innocent and froo-froo.
Normally, when were all together, we look a little something like this (theres one person missing from the pic but shell show up in others):
So youve seen pictures but who are we?
Im Lisa. Hey! Im a 47 year old paralegal working in a one attorney/one paralegal law office. I like cooking, tending to the garden, camping in the great outdoors, road trips and hosting get-togethers at our house. You may notice in some of my pictures that one side of my face is a bit puffier than the other and my eye almost disappears when I smile. Thats because I have Bells Palsy. Its the weirdest thing....we were on the way to the mall when all of the sudden I had this sharp pain behind my ear and, before I knew it, my face was drooping on one side. Not like a stroke but like I had been to the dentist and was still shot up with novacain. For most a/k/a normal people, the symptoms go away fairly quickly but I aint normal and mine have stuck around. Annnyway, all that to say, if you see me looking at droopy and saggy, I am not drunk, just effects from the BP.
John is also 47 years old and weve been happily married for almost 29 years! We own a cabinet shop but he works forty hours a week at a custom cabinet shop that builds the cabinets for hospitals, clinics and schools. John likes the outdoors too and could work in the garden or in the yard all day long and be as happy as a muddy pig in the sunshine. John has epilepsy but hasnt had a grand mal seizure in years. Praise the Lord! But, he does still suffer quite a few symptoms...facial twitches, mood swings, etc....that come into play in our everyday lives including our vacations. Again, annnyway, all that to say, when it comes time for the actual trip report, there may be mention of these symptoms.
John and I are parents to two amazing children, Lacey and Hunter, and in-laws to Laceys wonderful husband, Jesse.
Im going to start with Hunter since this will be his 16th birthday trip! Hell be turning 16 on May 24th and its his 14th time to celebrate his birthday at Walt Disney World. Hunter is an Honor Roll Freshman student, second chair (only to a Senior) viola player in the schools orchestra , a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and loves video games and playing any musical instrument you put in front of him.
