Thanksgiving Week Trip Report 2022 Completed 1/22/23

Then we head to the millennium falcon ride using the DAS pass. It is cool u can see the other side of the ship here. I loove this land.



We decided to make me and my husband pilot and my son picked gunner. While grandparents filled in.

We looved this ride. Being a pilot is fun for sure and having everyone being apart of this ride was so much fun. This is such a great family ride.

Then we head out and head to our reservations. We have an early dinner/late lunch at Hollywood and Vine. We figure since we are not paying for the extra Christmas holiday party this is one of the only ways to see the characters in holiday attire. We check in and they could seat is pretty quick.

I get my son plate filled, all the usual kid food is here and pluto makes the first stop.



Pluto looks so cute in his xmas outfit.

Next I head up and get my plate. Lots of good looking traditional food here. The Mac and cheese, roast beef and pork were all really yummy. I am surprised how good the meat is here for a buffet.

Overall this place is expensive for the food. But the characters are great and love the holiday theme. I would do this if u are not doing the extra Christmas party but save your money if u are doing the holiday party.
We are really full and roll out of this buffet.

After the food more pictures time! I know we are doing a lot of pictures... I have issues and I saw they have the cute joy sign!

The photographer was doing a cute couples pic to by the post.

This area is so cute.

Next we head over to see disney Jr show and I spot thr popcorn bucket that I wanted. The music box one. So I get in line and after a bit of waiting I get it!! It is soo cute, spin and makes music.

We head over to disney Jr and my son melts down at the disney Jr show. It is to loud even with head phones.... so we leave and we chill and relax for a bit.
My son feels better and says he was to see Doc Mcstuffins so we check out her. He is very excited he looves her show. I wish they did some other disney Jr shows like Jake the pirate or dino ranch his other fav shows too.


I mean how can your heart not melt. He was just soo happy.
So next we try and figure our what we want to do next. My son is not liking a lot of things right now and we have limited options. So we decide to try the frozen sing along show. My son loves frozen esp Oalf so we are hoping it won't be to loud for him. We get inside and so far my son is okay with his headphones and he seems excited so yeah. This place is packed.



And yes Oalf comes in!!! So this show is a sleeper hit. All of us adults were not thinking this was going to be that great but it is hilarious! We were laughing up a storm. There is soo many great adult jokes we all were talking about how this was the surprise hit of the day. Also they do a special holiday special add on which is great and it snows inside!!! Which my son and all the childeren looved.

We are waiting for our DAS pass for slinky dog.... so we go to Muppets show. My son melts down again so my mom relax with my son and his tablet outside the show and we go and watch it. Super cute. I think my son would like it when he is less overwhelmed.

So after the Muppets we go over to slinky dog and it is finally das time! Yeah.
My son is very excited. He saw the ride soo much on YouTube and was looking forward to it. It is dark now so we are excited to see it all lit up!


This ride is worth all the hype. It is the perfect kid roller-coaster ride and is sooo cool at night. My son loved it.
Now that it is night my son was having fun with his lightsaber.


The area looks soo cool at night.


So now that we got slinky dog dash done my son and the grandparents head on out for the night. My husband and me decide to stay to watch fantasmic. We walk them to the gates and we are just loving the decor.


We say goodbye and we head on down to the first show

So we follow the crowds to Fantasamic. The cast members keep the crowds moving and we are able to walk strait in. It is great to know u do not have to get there super early to get seats. But we did not have any seats taken up by dining reseevations so that could change when that statts up. We grabbed some seats and then I head up to the top for bathroom and some snacks.
The updated show is great. I knew not to sit in the very front seats but apparently we were still a little to close and we got some mist. Good thing we brought our light jackets. I teared up at parts and cheered at other parts. It is everything u want in a disney show. A must see!!

We head out and my next goal is to get some night time pics... these photopasses are expensive I am getting my money's worth. We get in line for the towers pic. I love the overlay on it and we were able to watch some of the shows while waiting.


Also while taking the pictures it started snowing 🌨 so that was fun. This was the only place I saw a Thanksgiving sign.

This pic is great cause it really is snowing lol.

Next we walk on down. We check out the shops but nothing is catching our interest for the price they want.
Next photopass! It is a bit crowded behind us cannot really see Chinese theater.


Then wanted to hit up the xmas tree while it is lit up.




My husband is being amazing taking all these pics with me and waiting in the lines.
We then watch the little show on Chinese theater.
These shows are pretty cool!!

Next we start heading to galaxy edge are plan to hop into one of the star wars rides at the end of the night before the park closes.
We love the look of the park with less crowds and it all lit up.




So after much debate we decide to go big or go home and we do rise of the resistance even though it is showing like 60 mins wait. But park is about to close and we heard that it is not really that long. And man were we right!!! It took about 20 mins for us to get to the pre show. Best idea!!


This ride is amazing!!! We got on a different track so cool seeing different parts. I loooove this ride.
We head on out the park is closed now and we are tried.

We go to our bus to Kadani. We have to wait just a little bit nothing to bad and we get seats! It is nice waiting for the crowds to die down a bit before we head to the busses.

And this is the end of our night. We did HS from park opening with early magic hours to past park closing. Man are we tried but it was great.

(Also notice no tree yet here, I was hoping we would be catching them put up the xmas tree, we are on xmas tree watch.)

Day 4! Resort Day
So today is a resort day. We planned quite a few resort days for many reasons. First tickets are so expensive. 2nd my son needs a decompress day and 3rd grandparents want rest day too. I honestly am crazy and could keep going. But I run on pixie dust.
We wake up slowly. My parents make breakfast and we watch the animals outside our room. Man will this ever get old??
I change into my running costume. I am running in Jan here at Disney for marathon weekend trying for my first marathon. I am using this run as my test run for my costume. I need to see if it will be okay in the heat and humidity that I just cannot replicate in Colorado. I left my cute visor at home, I did not want to crush it. So here is most of my running costume. Red panda themed from turning red.

Now slight issue with AKL... there is no running path... they should make a path to AK though.
So I am going to take the bus to HS and run around the boardwalk. It was easy to hop on... I may have gotten some interesting looks. Lol. I get off the bus and start my running.

The running path is nice and the best part I will be running this in the marathon so is great practice.


I end up deciding to have fun with this run and also do a resort xmas crawl where I check out all the xmas decor at the resorts. First xmas tree at boardwalk.

I got to see their gingerbread house. Super cute little deli.

Then next Beach Club... the carousel. Okay this is really cool. I stayed and watched it probably longer than I should for a run. Lol. Each horse represented a princess.


Then next yatch club. They were setting up the xmas train area.

Their tree was cute with all the ships on it.

I run back around and head back to the bus.
Overall a great little run. Costume works in heat and humidity. Also running and checking out all the xmas decor is super fun. Way better than running through my neighborhood. I really loves these gloves too. Lol.

I take the bus back to my hotel. I am the only one heading back to the hotel. Lol.
I go to the workout room to stretch and roll. So meet up with my mom she is finishing her workout here too.
Here is some pics for those who want to see the workout room at Kadani. I know I worry about what places have and this is a nice one.





They have towels too and water.
We head back to our room and shower and get ready for our brunch. We have a last seating for Boma! We loove eating breakfast prices for lunch. Feels like we get a better deal out of it.
Ahh we clean up nice. We wait at the mini shuttle to Jambo. Soo this takes a while... longer than normal we take some pics to kill time.




The shuttle arrives after we tell the hotel we have been waiting awhile... apparently the shuttle bus driver was on their break and we head to Boma.

We make it to Jambo and no pics cause we are running late since the shuttle was slow. We check in and then getting seated. I see this drink at check in!! I know what I am going to get. Look at that cute glow cube!

The line for the buffet is long and I ask if we have to go in the back of it or is like a normal buffet wear u can hop around. She confirmed u can hop around. So don't freak out if u see long line. She says only wait in that line if u want the carvings. So I take my son and we get what he wants. These waffles are soo cute!! Simba.

I go get my food. Had to get a mickey waffle and the sticky buns!!!

Soo yummy.
Soo I thought I knew what drink I was going to get but I forgot about the zebra dome acholic drink...soo I end up with that and yes it is amazing. U can only get it at the morning boma.

Other drinks people get...

Jungle juice mimosas.

Breakfast here is soo good. The price is much more reasonable then character meals. I go up and get some other food. I do not remember anything tasting bad everything was really good to good. It is crowded in here but luckliy since we are the last group of people it thins out as time goes on. Highly recommended Boma.

After we were done, were super full and decided to walk around and explore Jambo outside a bit. My son looves these.

And my son discovered the playground. This is a nice playground with seats for adults and it is in the shade. My son and grandpa play and we relax for a bit.


Next we head back in. This place is gorgeous but it is missing something..... still no xmas tree and it is almost Thanksgiving.

We head back to our room to relax and we take a nap. Soo nice. After a while my son says he wants to go back to simba clubhouse to draw. He saw it when we were exploring. So we head on over to jumbo and my son has lots of fun coloring. He spent a long time in here.


This place is not crowded at all today.

Castmember hung up his fav drawings. She was so nice. The best part coloring is free


While we head out we see him carving. Soo cool.

Dinner is just left over food we have in the kitchen. Keeping it simple. We are still pretty full and we head to bed early because tomorrow we are going to MK!!!

Day 5
MK DAY!!!
We get up early eat our breakfast and head down to the bus. Sadly MK bus is behind the other days we have seen it come. So it took a while.

So we are waiting...




The bus arrives there is a huge crowd since it is soo late. We get to MK and since we were late they already were letting people into the park.




They scan our bands to make sure we are staying at a disney hotel head over to tommorowland to wait. It is crowded and we quickly fill up the whole bridge. They open it up and the crowds all going to the same place Space mountain! Even though there is a lot of people the wait is not bad we walk through the que and make it on pretty quick.



My son thought it was cool but only wants to do it once.

Bathroom break and next we head to fantasyland to Peter pan. We das passed it.


My son looved this rides. He knows it through Jake the Pirate.

We go on to our next ride it's a small world. For some reason the grandparents don't want to come...



Next up we das speedway... our son really loves driving his own car. Of course it starts raining 🌧




Man driving these cars is way harder than it should be... lol.
Next we have das for big thunder mountain. So we head on over.

My son is needing a little break so grandparents a spot.

I fill popcorn bucket and get some ice cream and some drinks at the near by snack cart. Yummy. My son pics the strawberry ice cream bar again... hmm I am silently judging my sons choices when he can choose something with a mickey shape.

Then we get a few pic at the photopass photographer.


Next we decide on Pirates of the Caribbean so we das that and head on over. We all loves this ride! Such a classics.

Next we notice it is about time for the next parade. So we get some snacks and head over to liberty Square for parade views. We get a great little spot right next to the bridge. I got a orange swirl and potstickes. My son get vanilla... some times I wonder about him. Lol.


These were delicious. My mom, son and me also eat some sandwiches she packed and the rest go and get lobster rolls and bring them back. Lobster rolls not so good. I am pleased with just getting snacks and eating packed sandwiches. Mk really needs to get better our their food here.
The parade starts.






My son looved the parade. The characters who walk around would come up right to him. The dragon tail went loke right over our head. My son freaked out when the dragon blew fire. My son said he loooved the parade. We really liked our spot too a lot less crowded then being down main street. He got to sit in the stroller and I got to sit next to him then our group was behind us. So everyone good see the parade.

So after the parade we start heading back to the busses. Our plan is to take an afternoon break at our hotel while it is super crowded and come back during the evening and do the deluxe magic hours.
We take some pics along the way. My son is very Goofy at this point.

Then we went back to the hotel and we took a nap. Soo nice.
Next post we will head back to MK.

(Sorry for the little break... I ran my first marathon at wdw so was a little busy)

We ate dinner at our room and caught a bus back to MK. It was an easy bus to catch. When we walked in we caught the cavalcades! This one my fav one. Has so many cool characters on it. Why cannot we not get more Encanto and Coco in the parks?? We stop and watch it. My son is loving it and waving at everyone.

I really love xmas tree here.

So I got a das pass before we left for nap time. So we head to mine train.

The line is even long for lightening lane... eep. Luckliy my son just at a nap so no break downs. This ride is super cute. We have never been on it before just did not want to deal with long lines for a kid coaster. My son loooved it though. We left and of course when I walk outside the line I realized I forgot my ears in the coaster!! In the pocket spot. Bahh... so I go to the Castmember and tell him my issue. He radios to other Castmembers and says don't worry this happens a lot we should be able to get them. And guess what they were able to get them!!! Soo happy. I remember to give them a cast compliment on the app. So next we head to the fireworks check in area. I get our next das pass for jingle cruise so it will be ready after fire works. We do a little photo stop.

We also tried to do the monster Inc joke show... but it broke down while waiting in line.... that caused a melt down from my son he did not understand that. So we relaxed on a seat in tommorowland until we could check in for the fireworks dessert party.

We have the after dessert party for fireworks, so we go wait in the firworks viewing area. We sit and lay down and relax. This is a much better way to wait for fireworks. Esp for my son.


I wish we could all just stay sitting down... but before the fireworks start they make everyone stand sitting would be great. We stay in the back on the fence and see it good. My husband still hold our son up a little to help.

I was says esp if you have a kid who has sensory issues this is the way to see fireworks. He was not crowded on in the back. He had his headphones on and was very happy. Worth the money.
Then the part that is not good... trying to get back to the dessert area. Soo crowded... they need to figure out a better way to get us there. It is like soo much pushing. My son and the whole family did not like it at all. But we made it. The desserts are cute nothing crazy special but at least we get drinks!!




The best part of this.. they had the drinks ready to grab. So there was no waiting.
