Thanksgiving Week Trip Report 2022 Completed 1/22/23

The fav thing was decorated your one cookie. My son looved this.

My fav was the chocolate strawberries. I am sucker for these and they were decorated with 50th design.

We all really liked doing the afters desserts. It gave chance for the crowds to get reasonable again before we head back out.
We head out now to Jungle cruise. We loved the little added touches too and this ended up being the highlight of the trip!! My son sat right next to skipper and my son chatted and joked around with him the entire time. The skipper riffed off my sons comments and my son did some great comments since he was seeing all this for the first time and looves animals. My son was loving the attention and kept going.
We were cracking up the whole time!!! I did a cast compliment on the app for the castmember and personally told him he made our trip. The magic is still there guys!! My son talked about this experience the whole trip.

We did a quick das for magic carpets since my son wanted to do it and it was right there. My son loves controlling these rides.

My son really wants to do the ride ASTRO orbiter. So we das that and go wait in tommorowland.
All the rides even things like people mover have long lines. So we just wait at a table in tommorowland and chill.

So there is no lightening lane ASTRO orbiter... so waiting for nothing. Lol. Man the views up here are soo cool.

So son and grandparents decide to head to back.

We head to the lanterns for the special night pics.
The line is still long but soo worth it. These are the coolest pics.

Next we head next to huanted mansion. It says only 13 mins which is walk on time.

Next we went on big thunder mountain again. Loove this ride at night soo much fun. Real short wait.
We do some fun pics on our own.

And then we went on the bus. Feet tried we did not make it to the end of extra magic. But have to say this is a nice little bonus for staying at deluxe resort. I would try and do this for sure. Also no issue getting a seat on a bus at this time either!!!

Next post will be the next day, Thanksgiving!

Thursdays Thanksgiving!
We wake up and make our breakfast.
Then my mom and me get changed for a run.
We catch a bus to MK the plan is to run around the resort and check out all the xmas decoration.

We went to Contemporary first. I love that they added gingerbread house here too!

Then next we run back and then take the walkway to GF.
The GF really knows how to do xmas.

They even had a photographer at the tree! So we get some quick pics.

Then we run over to Poly. There is constructions so they make you cross over the street and that is when we see real life turkeys!! There was some castmembers there and they said these are wild turkey. Soo cool.

Then we end at Poly. Poly lacks in xmas decor. They really need to up their game.
We ended though at the bar with pog juice mimosas.

We took the monorail back and took the bus back to AKL. I really loved this way of running. Soo much fun.

I change out of my running outfit and get into a bathing suit. My son is with grandpa in the pool already. The pool area was not crowded at all. So nice. My son is doing the small slide.

My son is worried about bigger slide so I go up with him. Ohh my gosh this slide is bigger than u think. Soo much fun. Kadani's slide is better than Jambo for sure. After a few times doing with ny son. He is good and now is just looping. I chill out on the side now watching.

Drinking time!!

They did some fun activities by the pool. Including making your own cupcakes. Yes making your own cupcakes

for FREE!!! I could not believe it. We went over to make a cupcake.

We left the pool area after a while to clean up and get looking cute for Thanksgiving dinner at Boma. I have to say spending our Thanksgiving at the pool at Kadani was the best most relaxing and fun Thanksgiving. Who needs the parks?!

Then next after we cleaned up we head over to jumbo house. No issue on with the shuttle.
And yeah the xmas tree is up!!! Finnally it is officially Christmas!!! AKL is the best during holidays.
They have the photographer there and we get some xmas pics!!

We still have a little time we go to the Victoria Falls bar. Our fav bar. Drink time!!

Boma time!!!
First thing I do is order that drink with a glow mickey Carmel candy ice cube.

Buffet
I finnally remember to take pics of the buffet. Man dinner Buffet is great.

So much selection and i forgot to get the carving area. Hopefully all these pics are helpful to figure out if u want Thanksgiving here. They have boma favs and then they have Thanksgiving food like carved turkey ans sweet potatoes. But of course all zebra domes u could have ever want.

So hard to choose soo many good things.
My sons plate. Lots of yummy choices for picky eaters if u are worried.

Then my plate. Ohh forgot to mention they had prime rib too at carving station with the turkey.

Everything was soo good. And the soups!! U cannot skip the soup!!!

And more yummy.

And of course zebra domes!!!

We are all soo full. This is the best place for Thanksgiving dinner hands down. Everyone was just raved it.

We slowly made it back up Kadani.
We are full. We relax for a bit. My son was to go to the community room to do a craft so we head on over. My son choose to paint one fo the ceramics. It is real affordable still. Disney has not at least raise these to crazy prices yet. He chooses a dragon.

At night at a certain time they do a reading too. So she read to my son since he was the only one in there. Super cute.

When my son is done we head back to the room and go to sleep.

What a great Thanksgiving.

Day 6

So today is Epcot day. We debated a lot if we wanted today as Epcot day. We wanted to do the festival of the Holidays at Epcot and sadly it does not start till after Thanksgiving. I wish they started this earlier.... so we know it will be crowded.
We wake up early and do our normal breakfast in the room. Then head off to our bus.
So while waiting 7 am hits the big hour. My husband and me have the world clock up and he is trying for lightening lanes while I am trying for the free virtual. I get in and click like a mad women. Just click, click, click.... and then I freak out at the end. I got one for me and my son... and I got paid lightening lanes but i was in the virtual part... wow I messed up. My husband gets in after me and books everyone else for lightening lane. My husband looks at my app to see what happened and that is when I find out I got a virtual que for everyone and must have just kept clicking for the paid... oops. Lol. Soo we have both virtual and paid for Garadians ride!!!! Yeah two rides!!!
Bus comes soon after this.

We get a nice spot at the gate. Then they release us resort guests. Our goal is to hit frozen so we head over there and it is a bit of a walking race. I have been training for a marathon though so even while pushing the stroller I am preety good. LOL. Then they stop us before the bridge in the wall area. And we wait as the crowd builds but not to bad since everyone is waiting in different spots depending on which ride they are going for.
This is when I get grumpy at the castmembers.... so when they a release us and again fast walking and training pay off I am one of the first to frozen and it is broken... I wish the cast members told us this before while we were waiting so we could have picked a different ride to hit. We then start heading to Remy and good news at least before we start heading there a nice castmember hear us a told us that one is broken too. Wow two of the biggest rides broken already on one of the most crowded days eep... so now we don't really know what to do... I take a few pics.

We see the little help desk with a castmember open up and I know they get long. So we head to them to talk about if we could merge our lightening lanes together. I had an 8am with my and my son and my husband had everyone else. The castmember was so nice she changed the group to any time LL so they could come on our 8am!!!
We grab some donuts and coffee we head over Guardians and chill to wait for our LL.

We get in and just wow! The inside of this building is soo cool. My pics do not do it justice. I loove the transportation trick they did on this ride. My son could not believe it and really thought it was real.

Wow this ride!! This is the most amazing roller coaster ever!!! I am soo happy we get to ride this twice!!!

My son said he looved but got scared a couple of times. U can see it in the pic.

Overall such a great addition to Epcot. They needed more rides. The way the set this up where Xander is explaining the technology to us really fits Epcots theme of learning. Soo happy

Next we head to misson space since it is right next to us. We choose green. My loves space so he is excited for more space things. We almost had a melt down though when getting in the ride. When we put him the seat he freaks out cause he cannot reach the controls... luckliy once the ride closes it the controls come down to us but that was close.

My son looved the ride. He really thought we were in a space ship. And then we exit. Best part of the ride the indoor play area. My son goes and plays for bit. The crazy thing happened he met someone from his school at the play area!! We live in Colorado and he goes to a small elementary school only like 200ish kids and he meets someone he knows from school crazy.
We then head to Soarin. We had a pre made das pass for that.

This ride is such a classic. My son loves it too.

Then we exit man the living with the land has gotten crowded. My son is having issues now. And he melts down in front escalators... so I move him to the side. No tables or chairs are available so looks like we are on the floor... so fast forward and my son is good again. By this time our DAS pass for Remy will be good so we start heading over there now that it is open!
We decide to take the boat over and I go see if they have festival merchandise in store. I was disappointed there was not much merch. I got a pin and xmas ornament it was frozen themed at least so very cute. Then we hop on the boat.

Soo we head to France and found out everyone and their mother decided to get on to Remy. The LL line was super long... eep. My son is about to start a meltdown again so we get out the tablet earlier and we are good... I take some pics while we wait. The details of this area are soo pretty.

And a photo person came so grab a photo while waiting.

My mom gets a little snack and drink... yes...this is how long we wait.

This ride is soo cute. My son loved it but said he hated the wait. Lol. Me too son me too.

Next my son really wants to see figment. So yeah we are doing the ridiculous thing of going back on the boat to go to figment... yep.
So we head out I see Bell but my son does not want to stop he has figment on his mind.

We get in the boat and head back over...
We get off the boat and see Pooh

but nope my son does not want to stop... only the dragon. Man is he very focused. Lol..

And then we get on the ride. And man is my son soo happy.

He does have a cute sweater... why can they not sell that sweater?
My son loved the ride and really just wants all things figment. Lol.
We head our and we see Vannallepe! I try to convince my son to go see her, he loves Wreck it Ralph but nope my son is not having it.
So we move on.

We are hungry so we decide to start hitting up world showcase festival food and drinks and I das frozen.
We get my son a refill of popcorn

Then we start by going into Mexico. ( But in this debate of Mexico vs Canada we technically by passed both and did France first with Remy and we got a drink there too).

We got tamal, margarita and churros!

The tamal was good nothing special. Churros were great for wdw... like super yummy and the margarita hit the spot. A great start to our world showcase tour.

Next on our around the world tour...
China booth.

I got the chicken skewer, soo yummy. Chicken moist the flavor was yummy.

A real good size. Lucky MO drink was very refreshing and really great.

German booth, grandparents waited in that line.
Next we split the german schnitzel. Man this is a whole meal! This was good.

And our first cookie the linzer cookie

. This is one of the best cookies of the cookie walk. I would not skip.

And a drink. Cider.

Next our das pass is up for Frozen. So we head next door.
First time riding this. I rode it back when it was the viking ride. They did a great update on it.

Next after frozen we got go back to our walk around the world and next up the American pavilion.
This cookie called Crickle cookie was the best!!! The best of fest.

The xmas tree

looks soo good here.
While eating my mom spotted from allears Quincy!!! We love watching her on utube but i miss her and Molly together. I went over and said high and told her I am big fan. Did not relize how tall she was and she was super nice. Got a selfie and we chatted about what cookies we thought her the best so far.

Next we moved on to Japan and watched the dummers for a bit.

Mom goes in line at the Lchiam and gets the back and white cookie and get a drink forget the name.

Drink good and cookie was okay not great but not bad either.
My husband ate it before I could get a pic... how rude but he did save me a bite and a taste of the drink soo yeah. I think this was from the Japan's pavilion.

We move on to France and just missed the France santa... this will be a theme.

Next we get some drinks

The chocolate martini was my favorite drink of the whole fest. The best of the fest for sure!!

We do a quick Italy pic and check out the festival booth in Italy and decided nothing looks good for the price.

It is about time to head back to ride our virtual que for gardians and our pre made das pass for test track after it.
We take the boat over.

we are own this boat a lot.
Then hit up the pavilion to try and see santa. Santa line already closed

We get a cookie though for our cookie pass and some more drinks. The drink good but man was gingerbread cookie dry... not good. Do not get this one.

I see the fancy donuts

at the donut booth so we had to get a couple.

These are great donuts. Denser than normal donuts.
Then we went back to Gardians. Going though the other line u got to see different things and the wait was still very reasonable.

We loooove this ride!!!! Everyone was so happy we went on it a 2nd time.
Next test track time.

My son looved making his own car. What is with boys and cars?

After the ride my son and grandparents getting tried so we do some pics.

And they head out.
We do some shopping and do some more pics.

We then head over Holiday Kitchen: Nochebuena Cocina, to get more cookies! The Alfajores Cookie was really good.

We finished the cookie passport!!! Yeah!!!
We turned it in and we got another cookie! And this cute pin!! Nice.

We decided we wanted to eat something not standing. So we see if we could do walk up at rose and crown. They could we just had to wait a bit which was fine. We shopped and watch the band planning in England. I ahd to get it, soo cute and yummy.

Nice rock cover band playing some great music. We sit on the club and sing with them.

After a bit we got our seat and table. Our waiter is son nice. We drink soo much water and I grab a cider. We get the classic fish and chips. We share it cause we have heard they have big portions. We were not wrong. Soo big. These are really good.

The air-conditioning is nice in here and just be able to sit. So we take out time.

When I leave I do a pic with binney.... I do not have my drink since I already drank it but could not help it for D3 club.

Our feet our hurting so we decided to just chill and find a seat in the patio area next the rose and crown and wait for harmonious. We get a great table right next to the water. The perfect spot to watch. Now we just have to wait... a long time. Lol. We talk to some of the people around us every one is doing the same thing, just waiting for the show. It slowly fills in but we have our perfect spots.
This show is cool. The barges are great for it I just wish they could do something with them during the day so they do not mess up the view.

We leave the park and man do we speed wall to try and get ahead of the firework crowds.
We make it on to the AKL bus and get a seat!! Yes!! Bed time.

Day 7!
Resort day
A lot of resort day since they kept us from getting a season pass but it was nice. Today I did another run and did it based on which bus came first today which was mk.

I love how I can just run here.

I saw all the fun sights while running. Ran longer without my mom.

When I got back we changed into bathing suits and went to the pool. Man my son loves this pool and slide.

I brought down a drink for the pool.

Also we eat lunch down here simple snacks and sandwiches.
My son wants to go see some animals.

Only in AKL can u swim and see animals.

We have to pry my son out of there but we need to get him dry and cleaned before our dinner. So we say we go to the community room before dinner. So we cleaned up and head to the community room. My son does some drawing.
