Took DD on her first campus visit yesterday.... it's a small school but she loves it... nothing like the big school I went too...so I don't think I could make it there..but she loved it... housing was neat... different than what I had or DH... DH went to a school a little bigger than this but not much so he can relate to it more.. it's a 3 hour drive...but only about 4 turns... I have a friend that lives a mile off campus and a friend from high school that lives at the halfway point so I'm a little more relaxed with the travel....

Still have several school to look at in the next year... we won't her applying by July/Aug of her senior year and hopefully have an acceptance by Dec.... next up to schedule her ACT/SAT testing...

Nancy - DD is at a college with only 1600 students. She loves it. It is about 3 hours away, but Grandma is about 1.5 hours (along with all of my family) and I have a high school friend who is about 20 minutes from campus. DD wanted a small school and it fits her. What grade is your DD in. We take the ACT during jr year. Campus visits after jr year. DD had all her apps done before school started and turned in to counselor. She was accepted to all 4 schools before Halloween and knew which one by Thanksgiving. I'm hoping DS will be the same in 3 years. SInce the boys are only a year apart, I'm hoping we can do college visits in one summer and younger DS will know where he wants to go early, but will probably not happen as he will want to dive in college and will need to scout out swim and diving programs. Let me know if you have any questions about th process. I'd be happy to talk to ya.

Just looked up a website we used. Go to collegeboard.com It will help you find colleges that mean your needs based on questions you answer. It was great for us.

Physical results were fine except for 1 thing that they had found during the pysical that I knew I needed to go to a gyn for- so I set up that appointment for when we get back from Disney. That will just be a small procedure that should help me with trying to get pregnant.

I may need reinforcements................

So listen to this - DH is a bus driver. We were so relieved when he was transferred out of Boston (with its multiple dangerous neighborhoods) to the suburban garage closer to home. Except we forgot there are still some unsavory neighborhoods he'd be dealing with around here. Monday night someone shot at his bus - shattering one of the windows!! He is fine, all the passengers were fine. They think it may have been a beebee gun, but how unbelievably scary is that? So when he called me, I asked if he was on his way home - did they at least give him the rest of the night off? No, he had to finish his shift. :confused3 I think if I was shot at, I'd be clocking out after that!!

Dusting Baby Blythe. and NEE's dh:scared1:

Working on the petition for the neighborhood revolution. When did I get my law degree?

:scared1: Glad to hear he's okay...That's crazy! And, there's no way I would be able to finish a shift after that. I'm fairly certain I'd need to go home and change my pants. :lmao:

NEE I'd be changing my pants too and I'm used to shooting.
Buffy I'd offer myself as re enforcements but I'm not sure i'd be much help.
Rebecca good luck with the procesure.

The tractor bouncing has down my back in.

Thinking I need a drink and a nap.
