The Disney Wish, what are you wishing for?

I would love to have restaurants that are like Palo/Remy, but allowing younger kids, or at least allowing kids on couple nights. I just booked A LOT on board activity for DD6 but there was pretty much nothing to book for DS13 who is a foodie and would absolutely be thrilled to try these restaurants.

I know it's highly unlikely and others would hate this idea, but one can always dream.

My kids are now adults so we no longer use the kids clubs but I feel they have messed up the Oceaneer Club and Lab by having all the kids together because some parents don’t want their kids separated.
I think they should add a third club for the 3-12 age range for kids to stay together and have the Club and Lab go back to split ages.

Keep Cabanas open for a dinner buffet, so there is a casual easy dinner option for people who don’t feel like spending a lot of times at meals. I know a lot of people love DCL’s MDRs and having the same servers, but my family would love to have easier/quicker options than a sit-down 4 course dinner every night.

I actually hope that Cabanas, or a small portion of the buffet, has expanded hours. I’d love to be able to grab breakfast at 5am or a late night snack other than pizza at midnight.

I would love if they did this! I think having a dinner buffet is the most lacking part of the cruise. Many times I don't want to spend the night at a sit down meal, but your only other option is food by the pool or room service.

More exterior/interior spaces from the ship public spaces. Like they can roll up some doors and the space suddenly has an open wall to the sea.
Modern touches and conveniences. I'd like to say "Hey Mickey, turn off lights" and the lights turn off. Hey mickey, tell me a bedtime story. Hey mickey, turn out the starry ceiling.
Innovating the dining experience. How fun would it be to have some conveyor belts passing by with your meal on it? Or maybe sound proofing the restaurants to make them less noisy?
Better on deck activities, especially for the 12-16 crowd.
More thoughtful lobbies for tendering / disembarking.
Relocation of Palo and Remy to another area of the ship, giving more to deck space to use.
Rooms for 5-6 persons that aren't concierge.
More rooms with extended balconies.
Increase in cause and effect technologies. Like the wands at universal or the datapad on Batuu. Increase the interaction for things around the ship. (Essentially an upgrade to the midship detective agency). A SoTMK type story would be neat too as an additional offering.
Return of stage musicians vs, the DJs they seem to employ now.
Zipline from the forward funnel.
Changing the character from Rapunzel to Pinocchio and Jimny or to Genie. This is named the Wish afterall. Rapunzel should have been on the Dream, because she had one of those.

Unique dining venues for each ship. No 2 Enchanted Gardens and 2 Royal Court/Palace replications on each new ship. They should of had Tiana's Place which would have complemented Minnie's vintage evening gown. They should have dressed Minnie as a princess to fit the theme outside the venue.

Pipe dream but if you cruise solo, you pay solo not double occupancy rate.

Longer than seven day cruises. Maybe combine Eastern and Western into one cruise couple of times out of the season since there will probably never be the need for the Panama Cruise if ships are permanently relocated to California.

That’s an excellent point. Maybe one of them will be the statue in the atrium?

Seems there’s never been much connection between the mascots and the ship names, but you’re right - those guys make perfect sense.

That's funny because that's the exact thing DW said yesterday when she learnt the name of the ship.

I feel bad because I didn't get the joke when she said it to me, but I did get it immediately when I read your post.

I would love to see:

King beds
Beds that separate into twins
Better sleeping arrangements for 4 adults in a room
A buffet dinner option every night (including embarkation/debarkation)
A fix to the chaos of the kids club
Continuance of fixed rotational dining
No casinos (and I ADORE casinos)
Expanded dates/times of Palo brunch
Seminars/talks about itinerary locations like they do for Panama Canal

Single traveller room, but not a broom closet. Even singles might like a verandah.

Concierge rooms that have beds for more than 2 that are comfortable. Not all of us travel with little ones that don't care what the bed is like.

Beds that adults will be comfortable in, and not have to fight over the one queen bed in the room. (Just put nicer mattresses on the other beds.)

That would be a nightmare when dealing with food allergies. Not only cross-contamination possibilities but some people have allergies to even close proximity to things like fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc. so even that passing by someone who is in an otherwise relatively safe bubble could be disastrous.

Not to mention the fact that anyone could grab anything as it passed by assuming it was theirs.

Keep 'em covered? Delivery to the server station by robots in a big hero 6 restaurant?

I'm hopeful that there will better technology all around, especially wifi and internet.

We probably don't need a casino, they already have regular gambling (bingo). If there was a casino, I assume children wouldn't be allowed to gamble, like they can now with bingo.

Disney has anytime dining. It's called Cabanas. People don't favor it because they want the entertainment experiences in the MDRs, which require being on a schedule.
Also because the menu is very basic (they no longer use actual dishes from the MDRs; it is its own menu and it is not good. Which brings me to my next point.

This!!!!! Dinner time is family time for me for us to sit down around the meal and talk about the day, so we have never booked Palo/Remy for dinner. I would love it if there is an upcharge restaurant with a nice theme, better food, and kids allowed. It would also help a lot with the fact that late dining is much too late for my kids, so I wouldn't mind taking a last minute cruise with only late dining if I knew I could still eat somewhere nice. If they want, they could even do it like Trader Sam's at the Poly and say kids are allowed until 8pm and then it switches over to adult only.

I agree this is messed up for the added reason that 12 year olds are often too rough to be playing with toddlers, but nursery is a bit boring for 3 year olds. I would love it if they had a transitional club space from the nursery for kids age 3-6 where full potty independence is not required, but they can still have an activity schedule and interesting play spaces. If there were such a space for the younger kids, the older ones age 7-12 could definitely join the Edge-age ones in a shared space.

I hate magic bands. I don’t like wearing anything on my wrists.
You know the "puck" can be removed from magic bands and worn around the neck just like a key in lanyard. I would definitely like the magic band option. They already make my kids wear one for the club, so it is silly they have to have a separate card for the room key.
