Here you may order off the menu or allow the Chef to satisfy your appetite with his special creations. Wine pairings are available here as well and Citricos has a number of qualified sommeliers on staff. A minimum food and beverage amount is required to book here.

The octagon-shaped restaurant overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon is Narcoosee's. It is open for dinner, from 5PM to 10PM. Watch your dinner being prepared in the open kitchen. For dinner, New Floridian cuisine is offered with many delicious seafood delicacies such as Maine Lobster (can also add Filet Mignon to this), Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Coriander Crusted Ahi Tuna, Pepper Seared Scallops and Grilled Florida Black Grouper. At 1900 Park Fare, 15 feet above the floor, you'll find Big Bertha. This Parisian-built band organ is almost a century old. It will periodically spring to life for your listening pleasure, with pipes, drums, bells, cymbals and a xylophone, lending a festive air to the Character meals offered here. Breakfast, served from 7:30AM to 11:30AM, features an all-you-can-eat buffet, with fresh fruit, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese blintzes, omelets, fried potatoes, cold cereals, biscuits and gravy, French toast, waffles, pancakes and baked goods. Priority Seating is recommended. The elegant Victoria and Albert's is the signature restaurant of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This award-winning restaurant offers fine dining and jackets are a requirement. Open only for dinner, two seating are offered, and guests are seated between 5:45pm - 630pm for the first seating, and 9:00 and 9:45 p.m. The seven course menu varies and is selected daily by the Chef. Some of the Chef's specials feature the freshest in game, poultry, fish and beef. Priority Seating is necessary. Guests may reserve the Chef's Table here, where the Chef personally welcomes you into his kitchen, introduces you to the other cooks, and seats you in a special area in an alcove at the rear of his kitchen. A bottle of champagne is served and a toast offered to the guests. Guests may wander about the kitchen, talk to the chefs, ask questions and take pictures, as long as they don't interfere with the actual cooking and serving. The Chef will go over each course and its ingredients with guests. Appetizers, sorbet, portions of each of the evening's entrees, wine and cheeses, portions of the evening's desserts, coffee or tea and chocolate truffles are served to please the palate. As a delightful finishing touch, the ladies are presented with a long stem rose. Menus are autographed by the kitchen staff and given to guests as a memento. Wine pairings may be ordered to accompany the courses for an additional charge. Only one Chef's Table seating is taken per evening and the table can accommodate up to 8 guests.

And all the FAQ's and FYI's!

I can't wait for our anniversary!

Thank YOU! Thank YOU! Thank YOU!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Thank you so much for all the work on this new thread!!! Not long for us now to stay for our first time at the Grand. We have a lagoon view booked and I requested Boca Chica although all rooms look just great to me. We are going to do just activities around the MK area while we are there and soak up as much of the glorious atmosphere as possible!!!

just need to make a correction, Grand Floridian Cafe closes at 2pm

Fabulous job, Cali!!:teeth: :teeth: :cool1: Now I am thinking that maybe I should spend a few days at the Grand on my next trip...:scratchin

Thanks, I made the correction in the FAQ. :) It's so hard to keep track of all these changes, LOL.

If anyelse notices anything that has changed, let me know. I'm not sure when/if the spa prices have changed, as the prices I have were from my last stay there in 2002.

Tiggerlover91 - I'm sure your DH will love the spa! Have a great time planning, your trip will be here before you know it!

minster22 - Have a great trip! I'm sure you'll love the GF. The lagoon view rooms are my favorite, and Boca Chica has some really great ones. In addition to seeing the castle (to your left), you'll also see the Contemporary, the entire lagoon, part of Wilderness Lodge, and part of the Polynesian. This is one of my favorite views in the resort. :)

wdwfan - Maybe a few days at the GF wouldn't be a bad idea! I'm going back and forth on whether or not to stay there on my next trip. We're spending the last half at the BWV, but haven't decided where to stay for the first half. I'm hoping that the GF has some nice AP rates. ;)

Thanks for the link to the spa page. It does look like the prices have gone up.

If anyone has pictures of the GF on a webpage, and would like me to include the link in the GF FAQ, let me know! ;)

Great thread! I do have a question and small correction you might want to change--for the lagoon view rooms you can now see Wishes, not Fantasy in the Sky. Anyway, here's my question:

We have a 2 bedroom suite booked for May and our rate is $1465/night + tax (total is $1633). It lists on our confirmation that it is located in an outer lodge building and includes concierge services and has a MK view. I was wondering which suite this would be, since I didn't see one at this price in your list? I would love to read one of your descriptions about it since Disney is never all that helpful, though they did say that the master bedroom had a king bed, other bedroom had 2 queens, and the living area had a sleeper sofa and the room sleeps 8. Have you heard of a room like this?

Great thread! I do have a question and small correction you might want to change--for the lagoon view rooms you can now see Wishes, not Fantasy in the Sky. Anyway, here's my question:

We have a 2 bedroom suite booked for May and our rate is $1465/night + tax (total is $1633). It lists on our confirmation that it is located in an outer lodge building and includes concierge services and has a MK view. I was wondering which suite this would be, since I didn't see one at this price in your list? Humm, well I think I can tell you a little bit! From one of my sources, I have listed a B4 Two Bedroom Suite, $1465 a night regular season. However, I think that this is actually a BU suite.

The BU suite is a two bedroom Magic Kingdom view suite, that sleeps 9. The BQ suite, sleeps 8, and has a variable view (marina,water,lagoon-it's coming up $1510 a night). Now, in the past, the BU & BQ suites have been the same price, and since my price list from my one source listed a BQ but not BU, I put in the same price for both - I'll see what I can find out.

Anyways, the BU suite (the MK View 2BR) has a oversized parlor with two balconies & queen sleeper sofa. Next to it is the king master bedroom, with a connecting 2 queen/daybed room next door. These suites are in Conch Key, and there are two of them (however, they could possibly be in Sago Cay as well, depending on how they configure them as a 1BR or 2BR, usually the 1BR is in Sago, the 2BR is in Conch, so they can sell two of one and two of the other). Great MK views. The suites in Conch Key are the Cypress (2nd floor) and the Wakiwa (3rd floor). Janet2k has stayed in both of these suites.

I'd have to go with the courtyard pool view deluxe room. These rooms have a view of the courtyard, which is very pretty. They are also a little larger, but do have a smaller balcony. You really cannot go wrong with either! ;)

Wow, thanks for the quick response! I'm sure the Conch Key views would be great--we stayed in a lagoon view in Sago Cay last year and faced the MK and it was such a nice view to wake up to. With Conch Key being a little further out in the lagoon I'm guessing it's even better.

I have little more info after checking another source that the BU suites may no longer have the daybed in the second bedroom, taking the suite's occupancy to 8. :) So, that's probably what you have then. :) Have a great time!

Thank you for all of the information in this FAQ and the previous one as well.
I have a few questions:
Do all of the Lagoon View rooms in Sago Cay, Conch Key and Boca Chica have a view of the castle? If we wanted a castle view which building would be the best? Do you have any experiance with the in room dining and what we might expect if we were to order from them. I saw the menu's on Deb's site but it would seem odd if they brough all of the courses at once. Would they spread them out like bring Appetizer...then salad and entree...and then dessert...or is it brought all at once?

Thanks for the help!!!!!!
