*** The Official December 2019 thread ***

Having to do ADR every day sucks. I'm trying to remember it only sucks now and will be very nice THEN to have a whole house to ourselves. Doesn't help that I woke up at 7:10CST am to my husband's alarm because my phone died last night and I forgot to turn it back on when I went to bed/plugged it in to charge.
 
We're going December 14-21 staying at contemporary. Just found this thread and will be following. Just made my ADR couple days ago and got everything we wanted(ohana, BOG, storybook, Cali grill, and others). I was worried about it because it seemed earlier in December was hard to get some adr's.

My daughter and I were there last December, did not think we would be going back this soon. Got up yesterday morning at 5am and thought we need a Disney holiday to make us feel better. My husband passed away unexpectedly in February, so my daughter and I will be once again making much loved memories this December. I was a day late on opening ADR day, but was still able to get everything yesterday. It seemed to be a lot more availability than last year this time. I always change it many times before we leave anyway. Looking forward to following the group again this year.

I used to analyze data for a living (now I manage others who analyze data and play with data occasionally) so it was fun! It started when I noticed how popular 12/14 was on the thread. Thought others might enjoy the info, too.
 
Hi! Could you please add my crew - 12/14 - 12/23 at Poly? Can’t wait to see World at Christmas time. We were there for our very first trip in 2015, but it was so overwhelming that I feel like we didn’t truly appreciate the holiday atmosphere! We’re thrilled to experience it all now that we have the lay of the land!

We haven't been since 2009, and our youngest has never been, so a lot of things will be brand new! We just finished laying out our choices for ADRs and have decided on:
Arrival Day or Christmas Eve: Liberty Tree Tavern
Christmas Day breakfast: Trail's End or Ohana if can't get Trail's End; or dinner somewhere if we can't get either
BOG lunch any day
Tokyo Dining dinner any day (looking forward to the sushi, I hear it's great!)
Sci-fi Dine-in dinner any day
Tusker House dinner any day
Le Cellier dinner any day

Then I've read that we have to try Harbor House as a good Quick Service. Need suggestions for other good quick service spots. We definitely want to try and not eat hamburgers and chicken nuggets every time. :-)

We booked SW the day it opened. Saved us at least $400 from what I was seeing other places.
 
Could you please add us too? 12/18-12/26 Staying at Boulder Ridge. Havent been Christmas time since our son was small cant wait!!! College breaks are wonderful!! I was pleasantly surprised this am at 180 days I was able to make all my adrs including California Grille Christmas day!!!:santa:
 
We are so excited for our trip! My husband and I are surprising our two boys (13 & 9) with it as a huge Christmas present. The 13 year old went when he was 3 but only remembers bits and pieces, and this will be the 9 year old's first trip. They will be super excited to SWGE! I'm really just starting to try and come up with a touring plan, and could use some help. We have 6 day park-hopper tickets. So far I've got:

12/21: Arrive mid-afternoon, MK
12/22: MK?
12/23: AK or HS?
12/24: Epcot?
12/25: no parks
12/26: AK or HS?
12/27: AK or HS?
12/28: 😪

As you can see, lots of fleshing out to do. I figure some of it will depend on what ADRs we get next week, but since we can hop, and plan on an afternoon break anyway, it won't really matter. How do some people already know when Magic Hours are? I can't see park hours past early December.

I think you are smart to keep the 25th open. Will you be somewhere where you can see fireworks on Christmas? I think that would be a magical way to end the holiday!
