They gave me a diploma! I did it!

And to congratulate me, my sister got me quite possibly the best graduation gift EVER.

I can't believe I have a kid who has graduated from college! We are so proud of you and all your accomplishments. You made the most of all your time at college and I know you will do the same in the DCP. I barely survived your graduation, I don't know how I will survive you moving 1500 miles away! Chapter 23: Be Our Guest

Soon enough, we were inside. We were seated in the ballroom!

I know a lot of people hype up the West Wing, and it’s definitely great, but the ballroom is my favorite. It puts me right in the scene where Belle and Beast dance to Beauty and the Beast, which is one of my favorite movie scenes ever. And snow falls out the windows and music from Beauty and the Beast plays and just…I love it. Definitely a dream proposal spot. If I manage to lasso a gentleman sometime soon you all have the job of informing him of this. Other acceptable proposal spots include the bridge to Be Our Guest during Wishes, Enchanted Tales with Belle, the Italy pavilion, and the fountain in front of MuppetVision 3D (no I’m not kidding).

Dad started with the potato leek soup and liked it a lot. Here's a blurry picture to prove it.

Most of us got the steak, and I had been waiting for this meal for a year and a half! See, the first time my dad and I went to Be Our Guest, they served the steak on a sandwich for lunch, and it was so delicious. I was heartbroken when they took it off the lunch menu. But we were reunited at last, and it was worth the wait! It was perfect. That garlic butter is unreal.

Kylie got the chicken.

Emily got ratatouille.

There was a cool (and LOUD) moment when they announced the Master and he processed through the ballroom. I like that they call him that and not the Beast, it’s much more fitting.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a birthday dinner without a cake… (Please note how disinterested Dad and I are in the background. I promise we were excited for cake.)

Since Anna is Kylie’s new favorite princess, my mom called the cake hotline and asked them to do an Anna cake for her. Luckily, Kylie had enough enthusiasm about the cake for all of us.

As you can see, Kylie was very surprised! She loved it. It was a very good cake—vanilla cake with strawberry mousse filling.

Once we had eaten our fill, we went to meet the Master. Kylie and Emily went first. The Beast noticed Kylie’s birthday button, and the two of them danced.

My mom was in at least four pictures today. This is a new record.

Aunt Patti and I thanked the Beast for inviting us to dinner!

Of course I get caught up after you've wrapped up. My timing is impeccable (NOT). What matters is I finished reading and enjoyed following along so much! Our Disney tastes are so similar (and tastes in some other things too) and your commentary on things was pretty much always on-point (especially those snapchats from when you got stuck in IASW and the Space arcade during the rainstorm ). So glad we found each other on the DIS through our summer 2014 TRs! (Really, it was fate.)

Congratulations on your graduation, Courtney! Either this is redundant or I totally forgot to say congrats on FB or IG or... basically every social media outlet there is, but it's graduation so it's fine. I love the Duffy your sister got you! So cute. (I'm slowly warming up to the Disney bear )

OMG, you're literally leaving in less than two weeks. Wow. It feels so weird that only so long ago, we both were freaking out over Facebook chat making sure we were both up-to-date on the application drop date and having the same stressed out conversation almost daily thereafter. So happy that that all ended with at least one of us getting to live the dream!

I can't wait to follow along with it all on IG and hopefully come to visit by some miracle! Good luck Courtney on your to-be Cast Member life and because it always should be said, have a magical day!

Yay!!!!!! This is such a HUGE thing! I'm so proud of you, and I can't wait to see where life takes you, my friend.

There was a semi formal night...

A daytime event (this dress is from Kohl's Cinderella line!)...

And a formal night at a casino! This was my favorite night of the three, I loved getting dressed up, and the venue and band were fabulous.

Courtney, you look so beautiful and so happy in all the pics. What a great graduation experience!

(BTW, I don't remember my graduation being anything but the gown, cap and diploma. Hmmmmmm - that no longer seems like enough. )

Hello!!! My mom ordered directly from Magic Kingdom Cakes and obviously they did a fabulous job. A great resource for us was the Cake Chatter thread here on the DIS! That will give you the number of Magic Kingdom cakes and it also has a lot of ideas on cake designs, prices, etc. Definitely check it out!

I honestly was a little nervous that it would be horrible at first (there were churro Pringles that weren't very good) but it turned out to be great. I'm a fan.
