Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Anyone used Prime Now successfully and specifically which drop off address did you use? Thanks!
I used the 1200 address, but the driver still went to the Dolphin :(
In my case the driver didn't speak English very good, well worse then that to be honest and that was the problem. I can't recall now but if you can make sure you put in Walt Disney World Swan if you can. Good news was that I was downstairs and waiting and able to get a call into the supervisor and redirct the driver to the Swan. It wasn't a huge issue, but frustrating.

Swan question and can’t find it though I’m sure it’s here... I’m using prime now for a delivery of groceries. I put in 1200 Lake Buena Vista as the Swans website indicated but prime recommends Orlando as the city. Anyone used Prime Now successfully and specifically which drop off address did you use? Thanks!
I looked online and this is the address we used.

Has anyone here had experience with renting a pool cabana? I did try the search function, but nothing came up. How far in advance can you /do you need to book? Did you find it worth it? Our next stay at the Dolphin is booked for July 2-5, so I'm guessing a cabana may be hard to come by then? Any info would be appreciated!:)

My husband and I just stayed at the Dolphin for the first time, and we loved it! We had an amazing view from our room of both Epcot and HS. The location to both parks and the Boardwalk was also great. Will definitely stay here again next time!

Is that at the Dolphin or the Swan, too? Would I book our normal room on points online and then call them to upgrade? I need the King Alcove with the connected Double room. Did they charge you two resort fees for the two rooms?

Sorry to pester you with questions. We usually book 2 two-queen rooms at the swan but I'd much rather have a room with a sitting area. And a king for us :-)

So my experience so far is only at Dolphin. I am assuming it's the same at Swan, although I don't know how their room connections work.

I was told to book a standard double room on points online. Then call them directly to upgrade and apply the fee. If you do the Alcove plus connecting double, it's only one resort fee (which is very nice). I'll be calling at the end of December to do this, so if you do it before me, please post (b/c we'd like to try Swan this time)!

I did call in — directly to hotel — the “suite” number was generic Marriott line. I would be able to add the king alcove room to a double-bed room booked on points for $200 a night (plus taxes). There would only be one resort fee - and I wouldn’t have an extra adult fee for my DD19 (so they said). I was told these rooms were only available at the Dolphin, not Swan.

I didn’t ask for the process of booking. If I go ahead with it, I’ll call them directly first. The alcove rooms are not always available.

Another option is a one or two bedroom grand suite. We’ve done one the following many many times:

50k points + $240 per night plus resort fee and taxes = 1 bedroom grand suite

50k points + 50k points + resort fee and taxes per night = 1 bedroom grand suite

Or

50k + 50k points + $240 + resort fee and taxes per night = 2 bedroom grand suite

These arrangements can only be made by the Swan/Dolphin reservation dept and you must have your Marriott points reservations made prior to calling in.

The one bedroom grand suite at the Swan is an amazing accommodation for $240 upgrade fee.

I wonder if there is an extra charge for having this additional guest in the room? :)

It does say complimentary here on the activities brochure and sheet. There is no asterisk on the activity sheet, which would seem to indicate no charge.

I meant for another "family member" being a room occupant (I guess my facetious comment was not so obvious).

My recent booking at the Dolphin shoes extra adult charges. We have 4 adults in the room.

So this is a new one.

Trying to book a 2 queen room at the Swan on points from 8/20-8/25 for 2 adults and 2 children
It is showing online that I have extra person fees of $250 ($50 per day)
I call Marriott and they tell me that this is new, that all Swan rooms are now standard at 2 people and anything more requires a fee of $25 per person, per day

Can this possibly be correct? Sure hoping I just spoke with someone that didn't know what they were talking about.

Hard to know if this can be correct. It didn't used to be the way things worked, but since the Marriott takeover...who knows?

First I've heard of that if that too. If they are doing this for point users it's just not right, and further degrades the value of points at the S/D.

For giggles I ran the same dates, 4 adults per room standard fee and came up with no extra charges. :(

I'd call the Swan/Dolphin direct, 407-934-4000 and ask for In-House Reservations, and ask them about this. If you call the 888 you are getting the Marriott call center.

Grabbed a cap of the extra charge when I tried to use my points for a night :(
Not cool Marriott, if you're not charging me when I pay cash don't charge me when I use points either.

Looking through the Marriott Loyalty Program FAQs I'm not seeing any mention of this either.

:scared:>:(:sad2: if that's correct that is unbelievably awful!

I just checked a future points stay that was booked before Marriott's takeover. It shows the current points value, which was converted from SPG value, + the resort fee and taxes. Nowhere does it show an extra fee for a second person on the reservation.

If this actually has changed, why did Marriott not provide notice of the change?

Perhaps someone would like to post the topic and see if there is any feedback.
