Walt's - an American Restaurant

We ate there on 7 April and everything was delicious. Its also a very civilised and restful dining experience, and a great place for a new angle on the parades:thumbsup2 I would eat there every time!

We ate here on Thursday 9th April .. and it was probably our best meal of the entire holiday.

We used our half board plus vouchers and so were limited from which menu to select from - but the choice was good ...

I had the tomato salad to start with and DH had the casear salad - both were delicious.

We both then had the chicken, veg and baked potato (ate it before we remembered to take a photo sorry !!)

Desert was either a lemon cheesecake or a chocolate pud with raspberries - we had both so could share them. The cheesecake was the best and was out of this world .... (the choc pud did come with rapsberries but our DD ate the before we took a photo)

DD had the child menu and they were happy to let her mix it about a bit - this was her favourite meal of the holiday and she ate it all ...

All in all a great place to eat and one we would go back to again ... and again .. and again !

My friend and I dined here on Sat 14th June and it was lovely food, one of our nicest meals on this trip.

We had a table booked for 5pm and had earlier asked for a window table overlooking Main street so we could watch the parade and our faces were beaming when we popped in and heard our hostess say we have given you a lovely table by the window.:rotfl:

We had Halfboard Plus vouchers which we used but we were limited with the menu choice. We could have used our vouchers against the regular menu and we would have had € 25 against this menu.

Starters - Caesar Salad or Tomato Salad
Main - BBQ Chicken or Aspragus Tagliatelle
Dessert - Lemon Cheesecake or Chocolate Cake

We both had the Caesar Salad which was lovely, our BBQ Chicken came with chips although we both thought the chicken tasted a bit funny and left some but it could have been done to how they cooked it!! and we both had the lemon cheesecake - divine.

We also treated ourselves to a Tea and a Cappucino as it was such pleasant surroundings, you wouldn't have known you were in a theme park as such with huge crowds outside!!

My friend and I can't wait to dine in here again although we have said we rather put our vouchers if we get any towards something off the regular menu.:)

My review and pics (July 2008)

Vibe and decoration: 9/10 I love the different rooms which are themed with the 4 lands of the park. I was in the fantasyland room and the decoration was the one of a Middle-Age castle but with Disney things. I also like the view of Main Street!
Food: 8.5/10 Very tasty food, I loved the burger!
Service: 8/10 Charming waiter with big smile and at your disposal.
General appreciation: 8.5/10 you must try it!

Decoration & vibe:

I took the menu at 27 euros (starter and main course)
As starter: New England Clams Chowder (very tasty and huge)

As main course: Walt's Gourmet Burger (excellent and the twister fries so great! But huge, huge ^^)

Our favorite place to eat as a family in the park.
We only discovered it a few trips ago, I saw it in a guide book and we went in to check out what my mother thought was "only a cafe"!
If fantillusion is going on, be sure to book a table late, so you can have a birds eye view. The resteraunt's decor is beyond lovelyness, with themed rooms. I myself have only been in frontierland, main street and discoveryland (which has the most beautiful art nouveau fireplace and chairs!)
The food was top class as well, my favorite thing that was ordered to our table was the piano dessert, with pear slices as the "keys".
Also, it is filled with walt disney memorbilia

5*

(just be sure to reserve early)

We ate lunch at Walt's last Tuesday. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us within 30 minutes. We had been warned that any meal at Walt's would take at least two to three hours, so since we we had only one day in the park, had decided not to spend that time in a restaurant. We were drawn in by a sign advertising "40 minute lunch" and it was indeed prompt, without being rushed. We were in and out in approximately an hour. The food was great and even the price, at 19 Euros, much less than I would have expected. The "House Cafe Au Lait" was a nice surprise, coming with a selection of mini-pastries and sweets. All in all, this was one of the highlights of our visit.

Hi thanks for your post, what was on the express menu an can you remember what time it was served until? thanks!

We ate here last Monday, 18 August.

Once again we had a superb time. We were sitting this time in the Fantasyland Room. Our waiter was really nice and took our order without writing any of it down - but got every detail of the orders right. We noticed that even when a table of 8 came in, he took their order without pen and paper.

My son ate from the 27 Euro menu - starter and a main course. For starter he had the Caeser salad
SSL14960.jpg

followed by the sirloin steak with bearnaise sauce.

Husband and I both ate from the 37 Euro 3 course menu.

I had Italian ham on Ciabatta bread with melon and salad

followed by the fillet steak with bearnaise sauce.

Husband had the crab cakes on guacamole
SSL14962.jpg

followed by the bream.

Dtr ate from the 16 Euro menu intended for 11-16 year olds. She had a Walts burger followed by strawberry milkshake.

My dessert was apple crumble with butterscotch icecream.
SSL14967.jpg

Husband had fruit minestrone - the writing on the plate is in chocolate and is edible.

The total cost was 126.95 Euros, before shareholders discount.

This is the third time we have eaten here and have loved it each time. The food was delicious (can't remember a more tasty steak) and the presentation is lovely too. HIGHLY recommended.

Looks absolutely gorgeous!!!

Oh Gosh I wish Walts was open when we're there!

Oooooh it looks very scrummmy!

If sitting by the window when the parade is on can you hear the music?

Glad you enjoyed your meal at Walts...

You have good taste in food - I think you had the exact same 3 courses I did, although I asked them nicely to leave the cheese off of my melon and ham :thumbsup2

yum i so want to eat there in october. can you remember what was on the teenagers menu im trying so hard to get my sis and her friend to eat with us.

I asked Dtr if she remembered what else was on the teen menu and she can't recall. :confused3 - sorry - but she said the burger was lovely.

Emma - the parade wasn't on this time while we were there, but in April it was and yes, you can hear the parade music from inside.

I don't know how late the lunch was offered. We walked in around 12:45 and were given a card to come back at 13:15.

My husband and I both had a grilled chicken breast with barbeque sauce on the side, served with small potatoes and a mix of vegetables, bread, of course and the House Cafe Au Lait, which was served with a delightful selection of mini pastries! I believe the other two options were salmon (sorry, I can't recall what the sides were with that) and the third was a Caeasar salad, with chicken or shrimp strips, I believe. We felt it was quite a value and a wonderful experience both for the food and the ambience. We were seated in the Main Street room, although we were to the inside and had a more limited view of Main Street. But it was quite elegant and the service was excellent!

Thanks we may go for that on the last day when we have used all our vouchers up!
