Good idea Carrie.

This is the hardest time for the Captain getting the team together and choosing a name and a signiture picture if you want one.

Thanks for helping.

Here is a list of all the Team 7 suggestions. I think... I added a few plus some words that may spark some creativness that was not included in any other suggesions...

Hundred Acre Warriors
Hundred Acre Heros
Tigger's Trotters
Pooh's Pals
Kenyan Wannabees
Beauties and the Beasts
Addicted to Bling
Happy Feet
Walt's Warriors
Figment’s fighters
Spritely spirits
Courageous contenders
Tinkerbell’s titans
Squirt's Scuttlers
Powerful Pounders
Health Heros
Buzz's Bolters

Sprinters
Scooters
Zippers
Lightning
Fierce

So far I think there is 1 vote each for Tink's Titans and Walt's Warriors. Any other votes or suggestions???

BTW...I am Stacie, I'm 28 yrs old. I'm married (almost 7 years) w/ no kids or no pets. My bio is on the bios thread (w/pics...) My DH and I just completed our first 5K in January at WDW and we've just signed up for the Minnie 15K. I tend to jump in w/ both feet first sometimes and now I'm wondering what I've gotten myself into.. ie. Do I have enough time to really train for a 15K by the frist of May...

OMG Ken! I love it!!!!!

Stacie - Thanks tons for compiling the list! COming in to a 10-page thread this am and stil having some left from teh first thread was just too much for me. Oh, and I like my job, so am trying to keep it. ;)

I will send out PMs to people I don't hear from at lunch time, so we can try to get a name by end of tomorrow.

I am very partial to the graphics and logo from Ken, though.

Wow, Feb 1 is Friday already! Better get cracking!

PS-Ken! Love your Isaih quote. Was that your tag before marathon or due to teh service? If you were at teh service, I am so bummed that I did not get to meet you. meeting people when teared up, though, can be embarrassing. ;)

Hi All! A separate thread is a great idea!

Ok, so I was going to vote for Tiggers Trotters, HOWEVER, after seeing the image Ken came up with - I'm in for Hundred Acre Heros!! That's is awesome!!! :cheer2:

Short Bio: I'm Stacey, 33 - married (to GrumpyinNY - Jeff), we have one DD who's 5, a dog and a cat. (will post more in the bio section soon!)

No, that was my quote before the race. It has been one of my favorite verses since high school.

By the way a little info for me I am a 41 year old male coming into his second running career. I ran in high school and college (20 years ago). After college I kind of quit running and unfortunately my eating habits did not change much so I put on a ton of weight. A coule of years ago as a way to motivate myself to get in shape again I signed up for the Disney Marathon. Ever since then I am hooked an have even signed up for the Goofy '09. I live in Martinez (Augusta) Ga with my wife of 19 years and our 10 year old daughter. I am the recreation director for Abilene Baptist Church.

Go Team 7!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm Cari, 37, with one DH and two children, DS is 9 and DD is almost 6. My DH has been running for over a year now and does triathlons, and he has been encouraging me to give running a try. I finally started running less than a month ago, but I have found myself bitten by the bug amazingly quickly.

Personally, I've been a mostly SAHM for the last 9 years, although I've done some HR consulting from home for the past 2. I'm now stopping that to attend grad school part time to obtain certification as a school media specialist. (My classes are all online and asynchronous, which makes it a perfect fit for me.)

I have been so inspired and so uplifted by reading the WISH E/C forum, and I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of my teammates, both here on the miles and hours competition as well as the greater WISH running team in general.

I absolutely LOVE Ken's logo for Hundred Acre Heros, although I still find that I'm partial to "Walt's Warriors" (I'm not sure who originally suggested that).

Ken - I hope you caught the pre-race service, then. It was awesome! We have some in common.

I ran track adn cc in HS. Swore off running after I graduated because my coach was a jerk adn because I could not fathom the thoguht of racing a 10K! :O rotfl! Not that my pace today would be what you consider a race pace in HS< or a slow jog, or moving at all... DH always wanted to do a amrathon, though, adn then I found WISH and found out that DIsney had a marathon. ;)

Hey Team 7!

I like all the names, especially Walt's Warriors and Hundred Acre Heros. Yes, I am one of those people at work you hate- "I don't care what we have for lunch, you pick...":rolleyes1 I do like the graphic.

I'm Jen (Jen in GA). I posted my information on the bio thread, but basically-- I'm 37, married, have 2 kids. I started running a year ago right around the time I signed up for Goofy! I managed to train for and complete the Minnie 15k (so yes Stacie, you can do it!) and survived Goofy. :cool1:

I'm signing up for the half for 2009. In theory I want to work on base building and maybe adding some speed, so I'm trying to keep myself limited to the half distance. If I go over 16 miles or so, I usually hurt myself- I'm hoping either I can correct that over time by developing better strength, form, whatever... or that I'll just avoid getting hurt by not going over 16 again this year!

I'm kind of toying around with different races coming up, but nothing makes me as happy as the Disney races. With nothing on the immediate horizon, I fear I could completely fall into slackerdom, so I'm looking forward to this challenge!

Unfortunately I missed the service. Reading what you have written I am sorry that I did. I grew up in central Fl about an hour away from Disney. My family went all the time. In fact many times we would camp at Fort Wilderness. That is why I chose for Disney to be my first marathon.

I love the graphic Ken! Put me down as a vote for Hundred Acre Heros. (HAH)

Graphic will need to be made smaller or it will take up all my allowable space. ;) I need my graphics!

I am 57, working currently as an admin assistant, developed/manage the Web site here at work. Went to Kent State University 1968-1972 for Health, Physical Education and Recreation...the 1970 KSU life-changing moment had me re-thinking my desire to remain in that field and I made the decision that I would pursue other avenues. I then went to local comunity college for degree in office administration, decided that was not enough so went to yet another college and finished there with business administration. I love to learn new things. I am from the original WISH Walkers and did my first half in 2005 at age 55. Three Goofy's later, I'm continuing with the steps and just can't stop.

* Cough* ...guys...From the LONGER, Other thread... I had made mention I liked Tink's Titans, but the guys on the team may not favor that name...

nepatsfan73--
"I am not on your team, but I think as a guy I would be more inspired by a Sassy Pixie than a guy in a speedo, a guy in a gladiator outfit or even a *Prompting Panda* calling at 5:00 AM to whisper sweet nothings in my ear."

Thought it was funny and would share on our Team 7 Post... :upsidedow

Oh...We are at Disney this coming Thursday to Sunday...Can I count my 7-8 hrs of park touring??? :lmao:

Stacie

I'd probably have ask Dave, but I would think we coudl count at least a few hours of that. SOme will be just standing and some will be sitting, but there are definietly steps in there!

I love the graphic and the name "Hundred Acre Heroes"! I especially like the initials: HAH! That is what we do . . . we laugh at the competition!

I'm Heather. I'm 38 and a mother of 4 girls (9, 7, 7, & 4). My DH got me into Disney marathons, and I have been hooked ever since. I am one of the original WISH walkers from 2005. After LTO last year, DH and I had to withdraw from the Goofy, but I was there marathon weekend Scream Teaming for all my WISH team buddies. :cheer2: I am now training for the Minnie in May and will do the 1/2 marathon next January. I will probably try the marathon again in 2010 when I am 40. :scared1:

Stacie- I think Dave answered that on the other thread. You definitely can count the time you are moving your body. Do you have a pedometer? If so, you can log the miles too.

hey good idea starting a new thread- cant believe how fast the other one moves. It's lovely to see a graphic for hundred acre heroes and i think it really helps bring it together. I'm torn between HAH and walt's warriers (but as that was mine it doesn't count!).

I've added my bio to the thread- but briefly i'm kate, 22 years old and from THE UK! Only started running october 2007 and so far have completed.... one 5km lol. I'm on the minnie marathon mission tho and am hoping to be able to run the whole 15km if the humidity doesn't kill me! It's so lovely getting to know a bit more about our fantabulous new team.

Hi Teammates:

I like the Hundred Acre Heros name, and I really like the HAH acronym.

As far as my bio, I'm Dave, and I just turned 39 years old. I'm married and have two princesses, DD7 pooh: and DD10 princess:. I've run on and off through my life in high school, graduate school, and now. This latest period of running for me comes after 7 years of doing no exercise whatsoever. I finally decided in January 2006 that I was tired of my weight and lack of exercise and I committed to running the WDW marathon in January 2007. I struggled through various injuries that first year of running - including major shin splints, but through the support of this team I was able to make it to the starting line (nearly 40 pounds lighter). I finished the WDW Marathon, continued to train, and ran my 2nd marathon (the Marine Corps Marathon) in Washington DC also with a WISH team.

Yeah...maybe I'll try to dig out my old pedometer. It would be fun to see how many miles we walk. My cousin said she wore hers once for fun just see and they did 6 miles one day!
