Welcome, @NanaOsaki06! We (@JavaDuck and I) used to live in Kitsap for 6 years (Kitsap, Poulsbo, Silverdale). We're both teachers and I used to teach @ Chimacum MS/HS. Cool tattoo - thanks for sharing! I've always said if I had a tattoo it would be a dot (which I call the view of Earth from space) but totally appreciate cool and detailed ones like yours! Blue Bayou is fun - especially because I swear at least one boat of people every visit we've had seems to yell "throw us some bread!" Tokyo Disney is the next non-US park we want to visit - people have such rave reviews about DisneySea.

Welcome, @chopstick! Your profile is so interesting too! Wow - I am so jealous you lived so close to Disneyland! Isn't Paris amazing? We were there more recently and loved some of the newest rides that are/were exclusive to there. We are in ROFR for a Grand Cal resale (since you can't even get on the waitlist for direct). Then we are torn if we want to get MORE Grand Cal in a few years or some Disneyland Tower which is going to be super cool but... can you beat the location of Grand Cal? I love Figment! Brings back great childhood memories of my first trip to WDW. Yes - it would be super fun to have a WA meet up of owners once Covid is over!

Have you been to Paris/Tokyo/Hong Kong/Shanghai/Disney Cruises/Adventures By Disney? Not yet, but planning to.

I had never been to Disney until age 33, though I went to California many times as a child. My dad would drive by Disneyland and say “There’s Disneyland.”, but we never stopped. My parents first Visits were at age 68. We took our son during the free birthday promo at age 4 and after that I was hooked. We have been to a Disney resort once a year (sometimes twice) since, not including 2020. We like having 2 bedrooms, so DVC just made sense for us. Headed to the Cabins at Copper Creek in December and cannot wait...

I love everything about this post! :-). How fun to spend a full week around Christmas @ Disneyland. I am so used to just going to the parks and no actually hanging out at the resorts and need to shift our focus - do you do 2 bedroom then too usually? Copper Creek Cabins in December? You are living the dream - that's totally a bucket list stay! After starting with Riviera direct, addonitis and west coast pride set in and we bought into VGC (resale) and have another contract @VGC in ROFR now. Can't wait for our first stay on the DVC side there - we've stayed in the hotel rooms several times and loved it! "There's Disneyland" - cracked me up! Welcome, neighbor!

Generally we do 2 bedrooms because my parents travel with us. We have done a one bedroom at Boardwalk and Kidani when it was just the four of us. We can only do the cabin this year because when we purchased Copper Creek we received our 2020 points in addition to 2021. Then we borrowed from 2022. I would love to buy at VGC for the 11 month window, but I’ve had pretty good luck getting a 2 bedroom with a 7 month window because we don’t go at peak times. Congrats on your new purchase!

OMG Right? Napa Rose is so wonderful! We just love the Chef's counter - our most splurge-y meal every year we go :-). Hubby @JavaDuck is all about Donald - kindred spirits :-). MissScarlet is such a great name for someone owning at OKW - it just fits so nicely! Must be nice to own at Aulani as well! Hope to make it there someday. I just can't fathom living 15 mins from Disneyland - did you go a million times? Welcome!

I hear ya - I think to do Copper Creek cabins we'd have to skip a year of going to WDW which I know will happen sometimes especially since we can still do Land. But yeah they are certainly point suckers (but seem so worth it!). I tend not to go hang out at the resort hot tub but if we had our own... I'd be in it every night - haha. Yes I think you're right about VGC availability - if you're RIGHT on it at at 7 month it seems like you do fine with everything except studios and maybe grand villas since there are only 2. What's your use year? We are Feb.

Woot! Welcome :-)
