What to expect for DL's 60th anniversary in 2015 (Starting May 22)

I'm interested in how the ticketing will work for the 24 hour event. If I go in at 6 am on Friday, leave and then come back sometime after midnight on Saturday, will that use one ticket day or two?

Check out comment #24 on the Parks Blog Entry...basically, the operating day starts at 6:00 am on Friday and ends at 6:00 am on Saturday, so it's considered "one day" from a ticketing point of view. So if your AP is good on Friday, May 22, you're good to go for the entire 24-hour period. If you're using regular park tickets, you only need to have one-day on your ticket for the entire 24-hour period!

Exactly this. I park-hopped from DCA to DL after midnight last year and had no problem whatsoever with my ticket.

**Disney characters will be in the parks throughout the day and all night, inviting guests to dress up for the occasion, too. Guests may join the party dressed in costume. Costumes should be child-friendly and adhere to any guidelines determined by Disney.
It appears that dressing up will be allowed at Walt Disney World only. This makes me sad (dressing up was so much fun last year), but it is what it is.

I suppose you could dress up any way, I mean have they ever kicked someone out for dressing up?
I think they're much more lax now, than they used to be in terms of allowing guests to wear "costumes" into the parks. However, I suppose they could always refuse to allow entrance into the parks if you came dressed up to much or they could ask security to escort you from the park if you refused to remove your costume when asked. I generally think they won't do this unless you start to violate one of the other rules (e.g., pose for photos with other guests or go around impersonating at CM), but it's always a possibility. Overall, most guest costumes don't look like the CM costumes, but once in a while you do see someone at MHP that has a really good costume, so I could see where that might pose a problem.

I'm loving all the sparkly new merchandise, my purse is feeling the pain already but I can already imagine it all up on my shelf with my 50th goodies :yay:

Will there be EMH for DCA on Friday, May 22, even though the park opens at 6am for the 24-hour event?

I tried to make some reservations for the 22nd for bfast and dinner but Café Orleans and Carnation café are fully booked. Do you think they haven't released them yet, or they have been all booked already? I tried at 5 am az time and even then it wasn't working. I know the site is glitch sometimes, fingers crossed it is just that!

Someone called the hotline and they have not released them yet as they have not finalized the schedule. April 1st was thrown out as a date, and someone mentioned somewhere around the 10th. Keep checking!

Oh thanks! I was wondering what the hrs would be for the food places, as I read from last year not everything stays open all night. My dh, sis and I are making the trek there and wanted to be sure to have some food plans taking care of. I'll keep checking though!
