What's on your iPod playlist?

Question.

Other then Itunes, are there any other places to get music legally?

Yes, Amazon.com has a pretty decent library of MP3's for download, and you don't need special software- best of all, their DRM free - which means you can put them on any MP3 player without restriction.

I have a wide variety of music on my iPhone from metal to blues to classical and some of my own stuff too. But the bulk of it is beach/reggae/island music like Buffett and 311..who I will be seeing live in concert next Tuesday night:cool1:

I live for the summer and this music helps get me through the winter months, that and an occasional February WDW 4 day weekend visit:lmao:

Same here. :beach: I think I have pretty close to the entire Buffett catalog on the iPod along with Eric Stone, Kelly McGuire and Marley. If you like the "island/beach" style of music check out the "Thongs in the Key of Life" series. There are three CD from various bands that play that genre of music.

The hip, hip a hop, and you don't stop, a rock it
To the bang bang boogie, say, up jump the boogie,
To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat.

then you take her friend!!!

That is the first rap song I ever heard and I still have it on vinyl. :thumbsup2

I have the English and German Nena versions of 99 Luftballons. Now going looking for the Go-Sheilas. (a-go-go-Sheilas)... :goodvibes

It's just a slightly more updated version...nothing is really as good as the original though!

Last night we purchased some Flamenco music that we've added to the mix. DD has a creative movement dance class and they had to pick a dance style and come up with their own moves. I love the fact that iTunes has soooo much to choose from -- we've never not found something new and unusual.

Without a doubt the strangest thing we've got is the Clapping Song for Grownups by Nancy White. I'm not even sure how we found that one!

OK, I'm going to really date myself here...definately a child of the 70's. On my iPod I've got 1849 songs including music by: Barry Manilow, The Beach Boys, the Carpenters, Cher, Donny Osmond, Elton John, Jim Brickman, John Tesh, Mannheim Steamroller, Olivia Newton John, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Whitney Houston, plus a lot of Disney related music (theme park music, soundtracks from Disney films, the wonderful music from Illumination: Reflections of Earth.) Lots and lots of Christmas music as well....would you expect anything less from a Christmas Baby?

I've also have a lot of flute music on my iPod since I'm a flautist myself. I've got a lot of classical and contemporary recordings by James Galway. I'm also a church musician so I have some Michael W. Smith things as well. Just to keep up to date, I do have some of my daughter's things on here as well...Hannah Montana, etc.

My very favorites are:

Beautiful by Jim Brickman
Classical Gas by Mannheim Steamroller
Destiny by Jim Brickman
Kokomo by the Beach Boys
Oh, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison
One Voice by Barry Manilow
Open the Eyes of my Heart by Michael W. Smith
Reflections of Earth from Illuminations
The Seven Words you can never say on television by George Carlin (don't tell my kids I've got this one! Not music per se, but something I remember from my youth and how much my Mother hated it. Just couldn't resist downloading it for that reason alone.)
This is the Moment (from Jekyll and Hyde) version by Donny Osmond
Traditions of Christmas by Mannheim Steamroller
Witch Doctor by Alvin and the Chipmunks ...the new version from the movie (a new favorite of my children since we recently saw the movie.)
Xanadu by Olivia Newton John
The soundtrack from Aladdin
The soundtrack from Lion King

OK, you can all stop laughing now.
