New meaning to "letting it all on the field" tonight! Thanking God no one left on a stretcher ; some dirty, DIRTY players on that team and the most obnoxious fans in the stands we have EVER had to deal with! Had youngest DD not been sitting next to me I might have gotten into the first real fight of my life with the big mouths sitting around us (and I'd have probably left on a stretcher...those were some "big Mamas" ). BAD mistake but this school does not open the visitors side for soccer games so we were forced to sit on the home side ; I had just about had ENOUGH of the obnoxious comments about our girls and was turning around when Amanda told be to BE QUIET. Numerous yellow cards tonight but our girls gave as much as they got ...even our quiet, even tempered Redstorm was "lectured to" by a ref for "trying to start a FIGHT"! I laughed out loud after the game when she came to the sidelines and I asked her if she "got in trouble" and she replied, "YES...he accused ME of trying to fight with that girl"! She was just putting her arms up in front of her face to stop the PUNCH she was fixing to get before the ref "broke them up"! Parents escorted the girls to the bus after the game and watched as they drove away. Game ended in a 1-1 tie so, for the first time in YEARS the Brahmanettes are 2nd in District. Much harder playoff schedule ahead so season most likely won't go on as long as it did last year but dang am I ever proud of them! They played a hell of a game! Since my computer is "at the computer doctor" I have to wait to load my pictures but can't wait to see what I have!
