but I, personally would rather pay for things like health care and education and have cheaper priced products. Because I bet in the long run we are paying WAY more!
We are heading the way of privitization for health care and education anyway. And our systems for both of those suck anyway.
I think it is great that here in Canada the poorest of the poor can still get decent health care and have the same opportunities the rich do for education etc. But the reality is, if I worked hard in school and at a job, than don't I have the right to something better if I can pay for it? And why should I have to pay more for everyday products so that the people who are not so well off financially can have the same things I do. In that way the system is not fair. I think it should be my choice to help others, not forced upon me. And for the record, I would and do share what I can. We do not have all that we could because we feel it is important to help others who are not as fortunate as us.
I know that sounds horrible, but it is not meant to be. I just simply mean that I shouldn't be forced to pay more for a product than it is actually worth, just to support some systems (health and education, etc.) which aren't that great to begin with. Honestly, if I am going to have to pay more for these items than I would like to see my money better managed. Or maybe have a choice?
