I was thinking about doing something like that....or the horrors!! we don't match. :rotfl2:

Chris may want to join your group :lmao: He asked how many outfits we would be taking that don't match and I told him none. His expression was priceless :lmao: I did compromise and we do have Plain white t-shirts for one day with no design what so ever. He also has one t-shirt to go with a bathing suit to wear to the hotel pool that won't match anyone ;) We probably won't have matching outfits on our travel days either, but you never know ;)

Unfortunately I probably would never wear the one from JC Pennys again either. I don't dress up very often  I still have the outfit I wore to one of my other friends wedding when I was her MOH. It is a peach color, to bad Toni didn't pick that color lol

This may sound bad, but I figure if I do get one of the more formal gowns, I will sell it afterwards. I know I won't get back what I paid for it, but at least it won't just be hanging in my closet.

The one from davincibridal is gorgeous, but you'd probably not wear it again. The on from JcPenneys is nice too, but not as formal. You could probably wear it for other occasions.

Has anyone done tie dye shirts without soaking them in soda ash first? Chris threw out the bucket of soda ash water while I was at work. I only have one more shirt to do and hate to go out to find more now. I think the purpose is to set the dye. If I don't use it will the dye completely wash out or just look a bit less vibrant?

Hi Vicki! So nice to have you pop in, hope you can be here more often soon!

Definitely the first one. It is more elegant and goes better with her wedding dress in my opinion. The second one is nice but doesn't look like a bridesmaid dress with that formal of a wedding dress.

I've been making baby blankets that are polar fleece on one side and cotton on the other with a satin binding around the outside. I also made some hooded towel/washcloth sets. I had one blanket left and one towel set left. They've been there since last fall, but both sold this week. Now I need to replenish my stock. I've even bought supplies, but haven't found time yet. Now I need to make time.

You always have so much going on Deb--i love the baby blanket idea--you are so creative!

Hope to see some pictures!

I'm home and I've managed to rinse and take the rubber bands off the tie dye shirts. Now I'm running them through the washer to make sure all the extra dye is out. They didn't come out as good as the ones I made in 2005, but they're not bad. They seem to have a lot more white on them. I only put one mickey head this year too. Now I need to make one for my mother. Maybe tomorrow :confused3 I also managed to add her to our LTT ADR before the P&P party. I also added her to our DVC reservation at OKW and have an email out to add her to our Buena Vista Suites reservation. So far it hasn't been too hard. I'm in the process of making her shirts to match ours. She may not have all the same, but she'll at least have some.

I should probably make Pal Mickey some too? I guess I'll see if I have time.

I've also sold my last blanket and towel set at AJs so I should get sewing. While I'm at it I need to make a rain cover for Hunter's wheelchair. I'm tired just thinking about it. Good thing I still have 6 weeks to get it all done.

I bought a very formal black satin jacket and long skirt at JcPenneys when it was CHEAP this winter. It reminds me of a tuxedo, but it has a skirt instead of pants. I may never wear it but it's there in case I ever need formal wear :rotfl2: I bet it would fit you. How about a black tie wedding :rotfl:

I was just wondering this myself. I will have to ask tomorrow & she what they say or if they can give me any suggestions where to look.

Could you possibly find a wrap, shrug, or something to use with that dress? I do like that one better then the other one.

I've been monitoring car rental rates for July/August. They have just jumped more than double :confused3 I'm currently booked with Alamo for 22 days in a mid sized SUV for $551. Now the same car is $1177. Economy cars are over $1000  We would be carless before I'd pay that.

We have....it didn't look much different...but we also use a commercial grade dye...not sure if that has anything to do with it.

:scared1: I wonder why the big jump?

I will say the matching shirts and things tend to get attention but there are many people there who will not be wearing matching or custom items. I know looking at the DIS you would think most people would be in matching attire, but that isn't the case.

I only had one matching shirt on my last two trips. Made for the first trip and wore two years. That was it, we definitely got more attention in the Mickey tie dyes but that was all we had. We just wore other Disney shirts or other clothing on the other days.

I say if you already have Disney shirts just wear those and don't stress over the shirts, it is not the end of the world if you do not have them. After all the point of it is a vacation and you are supposed to relax and enjoy the other people's company. Any of the additional stuff is fluff. I know you will have a fantastic time custom shirts or not.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I know we will have an awesome time. I think 2 shirts will be good...and I've been thinking I should ask (beg) Deb to come up with a shirt for us for our family dinner. :rolleyes1

:wizard: :wizard: It must have been the day for cancer diagnosis. One of my mother's employees was diagnosed with Leukemia today. They will run a more conclusive test tomorrow. We're not sure how long they're giving her yet. She has lived a long healthy life to this point and she is 80 years old. I'm sure she never expected that diagnosis at her age.
