What is/are your child(ren)'s name(s)?

DS's:
Robert Dale (after his father's best friend, Robert is also his father's and grandfather's first name)

Charles Stephen (middle name is his father's middle name, first name was a name I loved)

DD:
Skyler Cheyenne
her brothers came up with her first name! She is 14 years younger than my youngest son and 16 from my older son. When we were trying to come up with a name, they both mentioned that they liked the name of a girl they knew, Skye. We named her Skyler with intention of calling her Skye but she doesn't like the nickname. She loves the fact that her two beloved older brothers helped to name her.

My DD is Sydney Milan (Sidney was my dad`s name)
My DS is Charles Michael Jr (after my husband) but we call him Chalie!

and because I particularly love my children's names. .
they are mostly ahead of their times if you note their ages! trend setters I tell you!

25- Jeremy Michael (almost Brett)
20- Zachary Mark (almost Melissa)
15- Cameron Matthew (almost Emily)
12- Kiley Elizabeth (almost Sawyer)
4- Emory Blake (almost 5, again slightly off the "a new little guy every 5 years" trend and we could not for the life of this little guy find a middle name we agreed on that started with M. this time!) (almost Emma)
2- Jillian Elyse (always Jillian)
(at least the girls both got E. for the middle names! back on track!)

these names all have Irish Galic flavor to them if you will.

I do have one of my 30+ nephews/nieces whose name I particularly like

Xerxes Alexander Nicholas

congrats and happy naming!

My daughter is Claire Margery. The "Margery" is my very dearest friend's name and the "Claire" is just because I love the name!!!

I only havew the one child, but have cats with people names...Henry, Marty, Vinny and Leonard. Okay, not helpful!!!:)

Mine are:

Anya Rose I thought the name Anya (on-ya) was cool and when I saw Anastasia the animated musical it sealed the deal. :) Rose is after my grandmother

Heidi Marie I wanted Kerstin but DH didn't like it so we went with Heidi. I've always thought it was a cute name and we were in Germany when I found out I was pregnant so it's kinda fitting. Marie is after many woman on both sides of the family.

We tried to go with names that other kids wouldn't have. We succeeded in 2 of the 3 kids.

Chase (who has 3 other "Chase's" in his grade  )
Tristan (who has only met 1 other Tristan in his life)
Carissa (who has never met another "child" named Carissa)

Congrats on your pg!! Picking a name was always one of my favorite parts.

Hope Michelle -rare to find another one

Shannon Rose - also haven't met too many others & none in her grade

Andrew David (second one here!) David is his dad's first name & my brother's name too, we call him Drew - have met several but that's ok

I like traditional names & we both have Irish family backgrounds. We chose not to name after family but now I kind of wish we had. If we'd had a 4th, I wanted Adele for a girl and Daniel for a boy.

My son is Louis James...named after his father, he is the third.

My daughters are Emily Grace and Meghan Elizabeth.

DD is Ava Louise -- Louise is my mother's name, Ava is simply a name we liked.

Ironically, my DD doesn't go by Ava -- she likes to be called "Honey." She says that's her nickname. :)

We too are looking for a name for our second child which according to the last scan is a boy. When our first was born, he was going to be called James Henry, even grandma was calling him baby James. When he arrived he just didn't look like a James so we were stuck. Finally we named him:

Cullen Josh,

Names on the list for next baby are current, Seth, Zach, Ethan and Daniel probably middle name John after both our Grandads who have both recently passed away.

Kirsten

We have 2 girls.
4 year old: Isabella Katherine Grace (katherine is my mom and DH and I both have a grandma Grace)

2 year old: Olivia Carley Madison (Carley is after my grandpa who was Carlyle and we just liked Madison)

Olivia was almost Madeline Sophia or Sophia Madeline. DH and I could not agree which order so we scratched them both. :)

Congratulations and good luck!

My oldest is named Cadence. So far I have met 1 Cadence ever. My other 2 have more normal names, Elyza and Jonathon.

I struggled with the perfect name for DD. I am a Jennifer born in the early 70's so I refused to pick any top twenty names but I did not want anything too different. I also wanted a name that could not be made into a nickname and that of course went with our last name.

We finally came up with

Jordan Elizabeth

Good luck! :)

Brian Hyun Joon (He's adopted; we kept his Korean name as his middle name)

Julia Mary

Kira Frances

I have two girls, neither named after anyone.

Madeline Grace (though we call her "Mac" because that is what her sister could say when she was younger)
Sara Jane

I love both my girls names and if I had a third would go with
Olivia Marie or
Cecilia Lynn

My oldest is Elaine Louise names after her grandmothers Nancy Elaine (DH's mom) and Ruth Louise (my mom) Both passed away before my kids were born.

My youngest is Josephine Reagan names after her grandfathers Joseph Leo (my dad who passed away 3 weeks before my mom) and Wray is dh's step-dad's last name. (He was raised by his step-dad.)

We have never met another little girl named Elaine. Apparently it became out of fashion after the Seinfeld series. However, we have met quite a few Josephines.

We didn't know if we were having a boy or girl until the big moment, so we had a boy name, too -- Joah States. Joah after my dad because I didn't want to use Joseph and States is an old family name on dh's side of the family from when they first came to the US.
