OMG I would have thrown up when I read that! That is a weeks vacation at WDW!

Ummm Wow...
Ours is $400 (+80 move fee) and I almost choked... yikes... $1700!

Kendra,

Hmmm, just looked at the $1700 cake. :scared1: Is the cake figured into the $$/pp?

First lesson from Kendra, read over your BEO very carefully to discover the hidden shrimp salads that might be on there.

Just catching up on you PJ. I'm also now waiting for our BEO we haven't even talked flowers yet! I'm dreading our cake cost yours must be gold plated!

Kendra-

Just out of curiosity, did the $1700 include the cake cutting fees or anything? I just can not understand how that cake can be almost $2000. Hopefully you will be able to cut costs somewhere on your beo. Are you planning to use Disney for your floral? I know a few brides decided to go with outside vendors after they saw their Disney floral beo. So that might be another option for you if the floral beo is as outrageous as the cost of the cake :sad2:.

Kendra- its a beautiful cake, but.....

ours was $1200- and going  We are in the process of choosing a new cake!

Good luck! Cant wait to here about your floral!

Kendra - just so you know, you can get a smaller cake (minimum for 50 people) and then get a sheetcake that is soooo much cheaper. Obviously, some brides want the wow factor of a large gorgeous cake.. but to save money, you can have the small cake for the cutting and then they cut the sheetcake to serve too. That's what I did and mine's going to be a LOT cheaper. fyi.

I'm nervous now. My menu is almost exactly like yours (except for my prereception and I'll have open bar). I'm terrified to get my beo now.

That's a really smart idea, especially if you have a big group.

Wow, what kind of cake did you get?

I tried to photoshop it because the original picture is a 3 layer.
Ours is a 2 layer for 40 people.

I must say, that's a very nice cake. I can see why it's $1700 now. It has a lot of intricate detail to it and it must take a lot of time. I'm sure there's a labor factor in the price as well. It's going to be so pretty in green too. Can't wait to see pics :)

Maybe the rules are different at the GF but I was told the smallest cake I could get was for 50 people. I got a full sheet cake for $150 (for 100 people) and a cake at $8.50 a slice for 50 people. With my guest list.. looks like 20 people might not have cake, but my reception is really late so I figure some people wont want any. If they do, oh well!!!! My total for cake is $612.38 plus the handling fees (which comes out to another $120.00). STill much cheaper than $1700 and it's for 180 guests!!! fyi.

How much effort are you willing to put into your shoes? :rotfl:

You can order, or make, the ultimate Cinderella slipper, like these...

They are from FairyDustShoes.com, but if you're feelin' crafty - you could make 'em yourself ;)

I  them! I'm getting/making some for my wedding (as soon as I'm engaged... :rotfl:)
