MK Firework Dessert Party

Please let me know what you are told. It seems that people get different answers depending on who they speak to. I would really be interested in booking it if they really have extended it.
OK, I called. Here is what the CM told me (no guarantees it is right!!):

1. The Dessert Party runs through January, 3 2010. December 30 and 31 are dark. Subsequent dates may or may not be added in the future.

2. My reservation for January 2 is confirmed. HOWEVER the time is "subject to change" and since WISHES is scheduled for 10pm that night, it is 'likely' I will be notified that the party time has been rescheduled.

3. The dessert party for my date (January 2) is now sold out.

Like you say, the answers given seems to depend on the CM! Disney really need to figure this out so people get the right information... :sad2:

Thank you for checking into this. I called back & I tried to book Jan. 3rd again, but the CM said they are only running till the 2nd right now (conflicting info again :sad2:). I asked about the 2nd & she said, "yes there is availability for that" (even more conflicing info ) so I did book it so I'm happy about that. Now I just have to see if I can switch a few things around.

Amazing how I called & spoke to 4 CMs a couple of weeks ago & for the life of me I couldn't get 1 CM to admit there even was a dessert party on the 2nd & tonight...no problem!

Oh & the CM said the time is showing as 1 hour after Wishes, but it's suppose to be 1 hour before, so she said "just confirm when Wishes is that night & show up one hour beforehand". That does not instill confidence!

I am booked in November on a night that wishes is at 10 and received a reservation sometime around 7 pm. I believe I recall this happening to a number of different people, and some have been told it's an error in the time of the reservation, but that there still is a Dessert party and to keep checking back.

Good Luck!

Any "official" updates to this problem??
I have a 7:20 p.m. reservation for a 10:00 Wishes night... :confused3

Anyone been lately to report back on offerings? Photos would be nice.:rolleyes1

Also, if Spectro is being shown that night, what's our best plan of attack to get to where we need to be? I really don't want to have to hang out on Main St. for hours just to get into the Dessert Party.:confused3 If it matters, we are going to be there on December 2nd.

We just did this last week. You will have a reserved table in one of three sections: A, B or C. If you wish to go up to the railing to stand to watch the fireworks you may do that, but there is a table with your name on it!

We attended the middle of October and loved the Wishes Dessert Party....
but there was one problem. Our party viewed the fireworks from the railing and when we returned to our table...IT HAD BEEN CLEARED!!!:scared1: I had a nice little plate of goodies and a coffee that had not been touched. I was a little disappointed. I wish I hadn't spent so much time taking photos!!!

When we attended earlier this month, the same thing happened. During the fireworks, they cleared our table of everything but the bottle of Diet Mt. Dew that I had brought in with me. They also threw away the table markers with our family name on them. If you want to save those for scrapbooking, be sure to put it away early.

just got res today for dessert party on MVMCP night 11-20. Any info on watching the parade from up there? Can you see much?

I have 2 tickets to sell as its on a party night 19/11 i want to spend more time doing other things,, Do i just call up the dine line to cancel? & receive a refund,

Cheers

thanks, its not a perfect view but to me it beats fighting with crowds on the street. Is this Spectro? If so, the Christmas parade may not be so bright?

I'm looking for input from people who have recently attended the MK Dessert Party because I'm not understanding how this is going to work.

I have ressies for the MK Dessert Party on December 21st. Wishes is scheduled for 10pm that night and the CMs keep telling me to arrive at 9pm.

My first concern is since it appears everyone is being told to arrive "one hour before Wishes" that there will be lots of people arriving at the podium at the same time. How long will it take to get seated? And where exactly is the podium located?

My next concern is SpectroMagic is scheduled to start at 9p that night. Based on the crowds of people standing around to watch Spectro, how difficult will it be to get to the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station? Is there a way to avoid the crowds?

Also, I read that you can see Spectro from the TTNS but now I am wondering if we will be seated in time to watch?

I would appreciate any input that can be provided.

Thanks!

There will be long lines to check in, and it is difficult, if not impossible, to watch Spectro from that line. The crowds are heavy and you will have to make certain you get there before the parade gets to Main Street. There is no other way to avoid the masses of people.

In our opinion, it was worth it when we did it in October. We won't go again any time soon, but we both enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone!

We went on a sold-out night and we did not encounter any line at check-in but we did arrive about 15 minutes passed the hour...We came through the back after going on Stitch...We did see the parade from the viewing area with no trouble and we were able to see the entire thing.

Yes you just call the dining line and they will refund your money as long as you cancel within the correct time frame, if you cancel now you will be fine.

I did this event in August. I have to say this was one of the highlights of my trip. The desserts for me were just an afterthought. I was there to see Wishes, and I was not disappointed. The view was spectacular, and seeing Tink fly overhead was icing on the cake. I loved not having to fight the crowds. This truely was a magical event for me.

The location was our families favorite. Now they took away our free viewing spot and charge us for the privilege. :sad1:

I am still having issues. My res are for Dec 24th @ 9:00 but wishes is @ 8pm. I called they told me there is an error and things will be changing and to call back once a week until they figure out what is going on. It has been 2 weeks I would of thought by now they would have figured something else. confused:confused:

I went in late august.....tried to cancel and was told no refund or credit (at GS in MK) . I tried to give them away too, but we had 3 tix and that did not work either.....So, we went, it was a great view, LOVED seeing Tink overhead....BUT,
people grossed us out.......like the people you see with plates piled high of dessert that they could not possibly eat, but since they paid, they'd take one of everything..:confused3....GROSS........(we're not buffet type people either generally) anyhow, would not repeat the experience but glad we went......

Has anybody talked to a CM in dining about Feb. dates? On the day I made my ADRs, I asked and she said it would more then likely be extended, but I wasn't sure if anybody had heard officially that it had been. Thanks!
