Has anyone seen a list of Christmas resort activities for the CSR yet? I know last year there was quite a bit happening around the resort.

1 month to check in at CSR! woohoo

Have only visited the resort in September...enjoyed walking the grounds and the pool bar...love how you enter the resort lobby and just see the beautiful scenery through the lobby windows!

We leave in 8 days for our first trip to CSR . I'm on the fence about online check in. We have done it in the past and it was quick. However, wondering if this makes a difference in what room you are assigned. We have booked waterview and I have stated my request on my reservation. However, our last stay, not at CSR, we did online and we got the absolute worse room ever. Checking in online I'm sure had nothing to do with it what do you all think?

Do the rooms have safes in them?

Also, like a previous poster, I am wondering if people have had good luck with getting room requests granted when they do online check in? I like having as much done ahead of time as possible, so online check in looks appealing.

Yes, there are safes in the room (in the bathroom/sink area) and we did online check in for our visit in September and we had requested the Cabanas and got Cabana 9A.

We check in on the 24th!!!! We cant wait! I am so looking forward to this trip....Its our first time going during Christmas, I dont know who is more excited

As this was only a short trip, no I did not. I wasn't really concerned where we were since we were only there four nights. Every other year we have, however, sent in a fax (but that was before online check in).

Has anyone had difficulty checking in on-line? We check in tomorrow, Nov 19 for 3 nights but won't arrive until after midnight so there shouldn't be a big crowd at check-in. But I have tried for about a week to check in on-line and each time it pulls up my reservation but the error, "Sorry, online check-in is unavailable. Please try again later." comes up. I was able to check-in on-line for Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas-Kidani (last 5 nights of our stay) but this was through the DVC site. I did fax a room request in on Monday.

You guys are checking in the same time we are! We'll be there Dec 12th-20th. I was just there solo Sept 26th-Oct 4th and was in Cabanas 8A. Hoping for the same building this time! I don't think I'll do online check in though. When I checked in Sept 26th, there was a long line for the online check in and only two families ahead of me in the regular check in line.

Okay we check in, in 2 weeks. How far out should we fax our room request? We want to make sure that since we will be there during Pop Warner that we are no where near the Ranchos. If we arrive on a Thursday would sending it on Monday work? Please let me know.

We check in on Nov 26th for a week!! I have done online checkin and we are getting really excited too. Everyone is finally well after a bout of Flu and an upper respiratory infection. The weather is looking pretty good so far (keeping my fingers crossed). I am going to finish up the packing this weekend!!
