Where in the world did this ticker come from? UPDATE NEW TRIP REPORT STARTED!!!!!

yay!! more pictures!!

Wow Andrew apparently has really good taste! He picked out really nice souvenirs...but of course my favorite is the dog!! So Cute!!

Can't wait to see more pics!!

How VERY scary about the tornadoes! :scared1::scared1::scared1: And your Mom was napping through it! I'm glad all was okay and it blew over quickly. Whew!

Love the story of how you met your best friend! I hope they make it down, I'm sure that will be a great time!

400 auctions on eBay?!?!?! :faint: Not all at once, right? I used to do eBay a lot, the most I could mange at one time was about 10. I hope your auctions do well!

And wonderful souvies! Those bags look great, a big 'ol Disney bag is always nice to have when you buy too many souvies for your luggage. :rolleyes1 ;)

Hooray for souvenirs! How very thoughtful of them.

Brooklynn loves those sugar 'straws'. The last one she made, however, she put sour apple or something she didn't like at the top, so after she tasted that, she wouldn't take any more of it. I still have it in a sack somewhere, I think.

It was fun to see the pictures of Port Orleans Riverside. Andrew can be your personal tour guide now, whenever you go to visit or stay there. :thumbsup2

Just finished catching up on the last few pages here Donna! So glad Andrew and your Mom had a great trip! Scary tornadoes though!!! Glad it all was fine!! Andrew made some nice purchases there, the PotC dog with the keys is so cute!! I think that's my favorite Souvenir!! Can't wait to see what Disney purchases you made!!!:goodvibes

Sorry for the delay- we were super busy with all of our company. Good times were had but I am exhausted! I will try and get on tomorrow with replies and to post some shopping pics, my valentines day gift and some cute pics that were taken over the past few days. I also will be starting my new job on Monday so I have lots of loose ends to tie up. See you all tomorrow and thanks for hanging in!

Welcome back to the DIS! I wondered where you had been hiding the past few days! Can't wait to read all about the fun you have been having!

Hi everyone, sorry I have been MIA for a few days here, my house was a little crazy. I had my friend in from NY – she was able to switch her flight and get out of NY a day early to beat the snow. We had a great time doing girly fun things- shopping, eating, watching movies, etc…

Then the storm blew in- my friend and her family! Here is a pic of all of us:

IMG_6480.jpg

Sorry for the demonic looking dogs - the flash made them look crazy!

The dogs had a blast together- at first my dog Ollie was not liking having another dog on his territory. He got used to it and ended up loving having a playmate.

Her dog “Carmine” is a Boston Terrier with an amazing personality. He is only 9 months old so he was a bundle of energy.

Here are some of them together:

IMG_6507.jpg

They were actually kissing each other- and it was Valentines Day! But since they are both boys- the husbands were not digging this behavior!

IMG_6506.jpg

The dogs slept like logs after all that playing.

Speaking of Valentines day I was sooooo SURPRISED with the wonderful gift from my little valentine:

hidden mickey:

IMG_6531.jpg

I love my Barrel O' Bath Bombs- They smell fantastic. Neither my mom or Andrew could remember which scents they chose but they all seem wonderful! Can’t wait to use them …..ahhhhhhhh

And I was even more surprised by these:

IMG_6529.jpg

From my Big valentine!

We typically don’t do Valentines Day, but I guess he got caught up in all the hoopla and couldn’t resist. They sure are pretty!

Ok back to the fun.

We went out to eat a few times- here we all are at our favorite little Italian place:

IMG_6491.jpg

the boys:

IMG_6494.jpg

I also took them to Frankies Fun Park- which is well…..Fun! They had a great time playing games. This place has an arcade, go karts, mini golf, laser tag, rides, batting cages, one of those climbing/net fun house things, bowling, bumper boats etc….Since the weather was not so great- the outdoor stuff including the go-karts were closed so that was a bit of a let down. You could seriously break the bank here as everything is pay as you go- not like Disney Quest where it is just one price for all.

IMG_6526.jpg

IMG_6527.jpg

Gosh…..Andrew is so big for his age- his friend Nick ( in the middle) is actually 9 weeks older than Andrew!

And here they are getting ready to sleep! They all slept in Andrew’s bed- it reminded me of the original Willy Wonka- where the family all slept in one bed! Even the dog stayed with them. Mind you I had an extra aero bed blown up in the other room but no takers!

Continued on Next post……..

Ok- onto the good stuff, some Disney Shopping-woohoo!

I had a chance to get over to the mall last week before my guests arrived and of course couldn’t resist the Disney Store. I truly feel sad for all of you that are currently in the process of losing yours. I promise never to take it for granted.

I purchased these tees in the store- they were 2 for $20- what a bargain!

This one is for moi……..

IMG_6545.jpg

This one fit the nicest- I am not really a fan of the way Disney store tees fit on me so I usually don’t get them there. I like the ones from the parks and hotels better they just fit and feel different. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this.

Anyhow- the other tee is for Andrew- I figured this would be one of his MK days tee…….

IMG_6536.jpg

Sorry they look all wrinkled- I have washed them but refuse to iron before I pack- no sense in doing that when I will be packing this…..

IMG_6550.jpg

that little bottle of Downy Wrinkle release goes with me on all vacations- it is such a time and back saver! And it makes the clothes smell sooo clean and fresh! And a lint roller always comes in handy- especially a cute mini one.

Ok- that was all I purchased for now at the store, but I have done a bit of shopping on ebay.

Bought one of these for both Grumpy and Andrew:

IMG_6538.jpg

Sorry for the poor quality- the flash wouldn’t go off- anyhow they are white tees and say something about being Grumpy. I thought are totally appropriate- for both of them.

Also from Ebay for Andrew…and I looooove this one…….

IMG_6534.jpg

This will be great for our DHS day- although we are not doing Fantasmic- sorry to disappoint. We do love it but are choosing to skip it this year.

Next up- some new DVD’s for the Car ride down:

IMG_6547.jpg

he is all into the Simpsons and Scooby Doo lately so I thought he would enjoy these. They will be a surprise, as he does not know that I bought them for him. I always try and surprise him with some new movies and possibly a video game for his PSP when we take long car rides. I got those at Target and Wal-mart for super cheap!

This is an absolute necessity- I may even go buy another one since we will be there for 10 days!

IMG_6549.jpg

need lots of pics if I am going to get a good trip report going when I get back!

I found this neat little thing at TJ Maxx. I am freakishly organized when it comes to packing and thought this would be a great way to keep track of chargers since I almost left my phone charger at the hotel last year.

IMG_6542.jpg

IMG_6543.jpg

and it was only $4.99. Not too crazy about the color but seriously who cares (that’s what grumpy would say when I get silly about coordinating trivial items)

Oooh I forgot to post these from Andrews Trip- these are the flip flops that my mom bought to save her feet- and now they are mine- woohoo!

IMG_6540.jpg

close up:

IMG_6541.jpg

they are too cute and I will be loving wearing these as I saunter down to the AKL pool with my matching navy swimsuit cover up!

Last week I went to Borders to check out some new books and bought myself this little trip journal:

IMG_6352.jpg

so that I can record all of the happy memories we will be making :)

and one last little thing to include... While Andrew and Gran were away he received some Disney Mail from his Aunt who was just in Disney this past Christmas:

IMG_6351.jpg

How funny..she didn't realize that he was still in Disney when she mailed them out.

That’s all I have so far. I am watching a few cute tees on ebay at the moment and will update as purchases are made. I love shopping for vacation!

Up next, how my love of the mouse and the magic all started.

Oohh---love all your Disney shopping pics. I've noticed the same thing about the tees from the Disney store too! It's like they're made for super-skinny teenage girls. If I buy a large, it looks like I just poured myself into an XS! YIKES !:scared1:

Sounds like you had a fun visit with your friend and her family. :goodvibes

Looks like you had a lot of fun with your friends who visited! There used to be a Frankie's Fun Park near where I grew up in Charleston -- not sure if it is still there or not. I remember taking my little brother there when I was in high school.

Lots of great purchases -- I love those Mickey flip flops and the Grumpy shirts for your boys!

And promise to periodically give some of us who no longer have Disney Stores (let's bow our heads for a moment of silence) pictures to please and torment us. :)

Wrinkle Release is one of my greatest discoveries in life. We rarely iron around here any more, and just about never on trips!

That should make for some nice long stretches of peace and quiet. They work wonders for Brooklynn.

Oh, how many of those I have!

Sweet Valentine's gifts from your boys. Glad your friends were able to get in and out okay. I know you guys had a good time together just catching up, and three boys and a play place definitely makes for good memories.

I have to go back to school day after an extra long weekend. I didn't get to sleep until around 1, so this is going to be a long day!

YAY for shoppping!! I'm loving your t-shirts!! And I'm a wrinkle realease girl too!! I hate ironing!!!

The Pirate of the Caribbean dog is too cute:cutie:

I love that little dog from POC....too cute! :thumbsup2

Isn't he the best! I was excited to see that he picked out such a cutie!

You know I am all about souvenir posts! All of the goodies Andrew brought home are great! I agree, though, those sugar things just make me cringe!

Shopping for souvenir's is one of my favorite things to do on vacation!

Ugh- the sugar thing! I hid the last one but one of the children staying with us this past week found it and i was like "NOOOO.... hide that!" I should throw it away- I usually wait a little while to see if he forgot about it before I toss it. He usually asks about things literally the day after I do that though and then he is not too happy with me.

yay!! more pictures!!

Wow Andrew apparently has really good taste! He picked out really nice souvenirs...but of course my favorite is the dog!! So Cute!!

Can't wait to see more pics!!

I think the POTC Dog was the winner on here! That was the first time I had ever seen it so I was pleasantly surprised!

Sorry so late for the response- we have been busy here. My friends did all make it down so I had minimal time to Dis.

I have a system for ebay- I do what I call a shipping sale. Basically one price shipping no matter how many auctions you win. So yes as crazy as it sounds, I will be listing them all at one time. The nice thing is that when all is said and done, everything ends up being sold as no one can resist a bargain. I have done this about 4 or 5 times and it really adds up to a huge amount of money. A lot of work, but worth it in the end.

Glad you enjoyed my little story- I couldn't make that stuff up if I tried! We really did have a nice time together- her boys are crazy though! It's funny because Andrew is pretty mild mannered so when he gets together with more adventurous kids he looks at them like this :scared1:

You can never have too many bags in my opinion- especially ones that are solely for Disney :thumbsup2 I was surprised this year that my mom didn't have to actually use one of them to get all the stuff home- she must have packed lighter to make room for all of the goodies!

I can't wait to tour POR on our upcoming trip. He loves to be the tour guide/leader so I know he will enjoy showing us all the places that he made his own memories in.

The sugar straws are just plan bad, but Andrew would tell you otherwise. He is a sugar/ sweets addict!

Just finished catching up on the last few pages here Donna! So glad Andrew and your Mom had a great trip! Scary tornadoes though!!! Glad it all was fine!! I'm telling you, that little POTC dog is a hit! He will be joining us on our next trip and we will display him in the window for all fellow AKL guests to enjoy too!

:goodvibes

That is exactly how they fit me! The one I chose seems to be a different style or fit but I haven't washed it yet as I wanted to make sure I was fully committed to it. Need to try it on again as we get closer to the trip.

We did have a good time with our friends but the weather was not so great. It was pretty cold for NC so the boys didn't get to go outside as much, but we made the best of it.

Welcome back to the DIS! I wondered where you had been hiding the past few days! Can't wait to read all about the fun you have been having!

It's hard to Dis when you have a house full of Non-Dissers- they think its weird :confused3. I was like a closet Disser- just sneaking on here late at night to keep up with my sub's, but I couldn't post any pics because this computer- the one that I have all of my pics on, is in the guest room where they were staying.

We did have a good time, Frankies is my favorite place to take people with kids when they are in for a visit. SO much to do there!

Flip flops are perfect and the the grumpy tee's are too!

And promise to periodically give some of us who no longer have Disney Stores (let's bow our heads for a moment of silence) pictures to please and torment us. :)

I sure will, although I must admit I have never taken pics in the Disney store so it will be a first for me. I am going to try and head over there this Friday just to see if anything new has come in. If I do I will bring my camera and pretend I am a foreign tourist :rotfl:

Wrinkle Release is one of my greatest discoveries in life. We rarely iron around here any more, and just about never on trips!

I don't know why anyone still irons after this little invention! It is the best!

That should make for some nice long stretches of peace and quiet. They work wonders for Brooklynn.

Fresh new movies and video games are magic! I don't hear a peep for a solid 2 hours or so...ahhhhhh

Oh, how many of those I have!

More than I ever will I am sure! My husband thought I was nuts when I took 1400 pics on our first Disney family vacation together in 2007- you could probably do that in a day if you wanted too!

Sweet Valentine's gifts from your boys. Glad your friends were able to get in and out okay. I know you guys had a good time together just catching up, and three boys and a play place definitely makes for good memories.

I just used the first of my Bath Bombs this morning and they awesome! I forgot how soft they actually make your skin feel!
And the roses are still going strong, they make me smile every time I walk past them :lovestruc

I have to go back to school day after an extra long weekend. I didn't get to sleep until around 1, so this is going to be a long day!

I hope your day is going by quick so that you can be one day closer to the weekend! hopefully you have some nice adventures planned- possibly with your girls?

YAY for shoppping!! I'm loving your t-shirts!! And I'm a wrinkle realease girl too!! I hate ironing!!!

Isn't wrinkle release the best! I have turned so many of my friends onto this. I picture them all smiling as they toss out the big clunky iron!

I never iron either! Wrinkle Releaser is my BFF! And if we do HAVE to iron, DH does it. :lovestruc

I love that charger bag! We always have a bazillion chargers with...cameras, computer, phones, iPod, etc. This would be so, so handy. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for something like that!

hee hee I was just responding over on your thread!

I never realized that the Downy Wrinkle release had such a following...I thought it was my little secret ;)

I think that charger thing is definitely going to come in handy. Now that DS is older he has chargers for his stuff too....so just wait, the charger collection grows as the kiddies do!

I LOVE wrinkle releaser! I buy the huge bottles at dollar general (off brand) they're tons cheaper and work just as well.

I just got caught up on your PTR! I love all the pics of POR. I can't wait to see it in person. It looks gorgeous! We will only miss you by a day!

Sorry I have been gone but just wanted to pop in and let you know that I have been super busy with starting a new job this Monday, buying a new car, and just the usual craziness of life! I will be on this weekend with an update as I have made a few changes to our ADR's. I also found some old pics from my 2nd visit to Disney in 1978! I was trying to find the ones from my very first visit in 1975 but they must be at my mom's....

And.........I am less than 2 months away!!!!!:cool1: nut! I hope everyone is having a great week! Be back soon.
