I love Ashton but he has to be careful too. He can be very argumentative as well and has been cited as such before. He can take things very personally and sometimes needs to bring it down a notch so that the jury doesn't see him as overbearing. I enjoy watching him but sometimes LDB shows us more restraint, calmness and professionalism.

I totally agree. And I thought he took it too far when he cross-examined the bug guy. It was very uncomfortable to watch.

I was reading that this morning LDB said that there was NO searches for chlorophyll on the computer. And that there were no remote login capabilities either!!

Ok, on InSession this morning they are replaying Vinny P with Cruz and it is making me mad

She was proven a liar on the sand imo - but regardless I don't care for the cheap sleeze aspect of this which has nothing to do with ICA muder of Caylee. It gives her just the press she wants and the focus should be Caylee

Casey would be spiteful enough to demand her baby be put up for adoption to strangers rather than let her parents have the kid. It's who she is. She hates her mother and father more than she loved her child, i.e. Caylee, and probably any future child she may have. Additionally, how would it look for her to hand over a future prison conceived child to her mom, who is married to her molesting, deceased granddaughter body hiding father George.

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can just give a baby up for adoption to a stranger. Any blood relative will have an opportunity to come forward and claim the baby before it is adopted. Cindy and George would be there in a heartbeat to contest any adoption.

If Casey does end up pregnant, she will have an abortion. She knows her mother will get to raise her kid and for whatever reason, she will never let that happen.

Well in order for Casey to get pregnant, rules would have to be broken. If it wasn't a guard, then a guard let someone in. If it was Baez :scared1: .......LOL. I can't see Casey threatening to go the other family and not be laughed at. Other than Casey terminating the pregnancy, I can't see how any baby she has would not go to George and Cindy.

Ew ew ew. Maybe that's another reason Baez is dragging this out. More time spent with Casey.. yuck!

But do you think she was pregnant she'd ever tell who? FL I think is a grandparents right state, but she could give the baby up for adoption as someone else said.

I don't think she is pregnant, but I don't think she is above telling her family that she is.. because it would be what? Months before they'd figure out that she wasn't?

I am unable to follow the trial very often because I have to be at work when the trial is on.
So I come here to catch up
As far as River Cruz is concerned did anyone mention how unattracive she is? GA is a handome man. I think she cared far more about him then he did for her. She fell in love and felt rejected by him. If anythig physical happened I think it started with her.
I dont think that CA will get the DP, but I am hoping she will be locked up for life

Someone else can maybe fill in better, but there was apart of the testimony where "River" got very very angry and bitter about the fact that George stopped calling, and stopped texting her. I can't remember exactly what she said only that HE was the one that stopped, and she thought she didn't deserve to be treated like that.

I don't think she'll get the DP either.. but someone mentioned in flordia that it was a possibility if she was convinced of child abuse? Is this right?

I thought be restrained His demeanor very well this morning with the jury out.

I am convinced Baez is pulling shenanigans. I would be hot tempered if a colleague was so blatantly behaving in that manner. I thought Ashton held himself together despite the antics.

Personally, I probably would have thrown a book at him! I dont have a diplomatic calm reaction gene in me!

:thumbsup2

CH/RV admitted to Vinnie Politan that she made the first move, in the garage (how romantic ). Definitely seizing the opportunity to "take advantage" of a man in the middle of a tragic time in his life. I figured he was lying about the afffair, but I just hope the jury can separate that from the important parts of his testimony - Caylee's last days and his thoughts and actions then.

Can we all pretend to be jurors for a minute?

I am getting really upset that the talking heads keeps saying that River/Krystal's testimony just ruined George's credibility.

OK..we are the jurors and this is what we hear:

Ashton: It was your statement to the police that George said he believed that is was an accident that spiraled out of control

River/Krystal: No he said it was an accident.....

Ashton (shows her the actuall statement): Was this your statement ..that he believed it as an accident

River/Krystal: Yes

To me the word believe is the crust of it. He believed..meaning he didn't know, but it was a feeling in his gut. Also, when he said he KNEW...I took that to mean again, that it was a feeling, like "I just know I flunked my test"

Ok, as a juror...did you get what I got? Please tell me there are some intelligent jurors on this panel, and they got what Ashton was trying to point out.

I am going to do something unusual and unique today. I am going to clean my house! :scared1: It has to be done. Someone has to step up to the plate and tackle the job. I am not sure I will survive. My butt has gotten so used to be planted on the sofa for the last month that I am not sure it will function well in the upright position. Wish me luck. If you don't hear back from me, you know the dust got to me.

Morning all. :)
It would be interesting if the reason why Cindy suddenly was trying to protect ICA is because ICA told her she might be pregnant? Just a thought.

She totally did it to protect ICA. No doubt. She doesn't want her daughter to get the death penalty, pregnant or not.

It was stupid of her. In the end, pregnancy would make no difference. The jury wouldn't know about a potential pregnancy unless a witness (CA/GA/LA) or an attorney brought it up or a baby bump was visible. The jury might be sympathetic if they knew about it but they would be instructed to base their decision on the facts and not ICA's condition. However, that's not to say that they wouldn't be sympathetic when it comes to sentencing.

The judge ultimately decides her fate. The jury is there to give their choice on punishment, but it is up to him. However, if I'm not mistaken (and I might be), if the jury says LWOP, the judge can't "go up" and say "No death by lethal injection". He can say the same or give a lighter sentence. could still give her a death sentence, pregnant or not. The judge and jury could decide to execute regardless of her condition. These prisoners sit on death row for YEARS. It's not like an order of execution comes down and she's gone the next day. They appeal, etc. ICA could very well give birth to her baby while sitting on death row.

Good luck and may the force be with you!

Can anyone here tell me when do they think Casey actually killed Caylee. I think I heard there was a fight between Cindy and Casey and that triggered it? Was it at the Anthony home or in the car? I have followed the trial off and on and last night I was trying to figure out when "it" happened, thanks!

I think Caylee died sometime on the afternoon/evening of June 16. My theory is that Casey wanted to spend the night with Tony and called Cindy around 4:00 pm and asked her to babysit, but Cindy said no (per Cindy's testimony). I think Caylee was still alive when that call was made.

Casey wouldn't let anything or anyone get in the way of her new romance. She either murdered Caylee there and then and put her body in the trunk, or perhaps cloroformed her, applied duct tape to her mouth to keep her quiet if she woke up, and stuck her in the trunk where she died. I'm still not sure whether Casey is guilty of intentional murder or "just" aggravated manslaughter.

Just my opinion.

:lmao:

We've already done 2 laundry loads of clothes, sheets are in right now, one dog is bathed, one to go 'n I have to get some 4th of July grocery shoppin' done today.

We wanna be free to watch the trial tomorrow.

the judge is giving baez plenty of rope to hang himself and when this part is over and it goes to the jury JP will take up allllllllllll the contempt of courts against baez and slap him upside the head so hard he might not hear the final verdict and will have to read the transcripts to find out if kc is guilty or not

Good luck LisaR. Yea, our plane leaves today ay 3:00 so I had to wash, pack, clean the house all around this trial. Now everything is ready to walk out the door and I don't know what to watch on tv. I had planned on watching the trial right until we leave. I'm hoping airport has a tv with in on somewhere.

Saying he believed and saying he knew are two separate things. And even if he said either one how does she know what he was talking about. She never said " Well what are you refering to " What accident? How could she possibly know what he meant? Did he say Caylee's death was an accident?

Last night Nancy Grace admitted that if one of her twins were facing the death penalty, she would probably do the same thing Cindy is doing. She had sympathy for Cindy. She even said she would take the needle for her kids if she could.

As a mother, I am not sure what I would do for my kids in this situation. I guess nobody can say what they would do until they were in the same situation.
