Can we all pretend to be jurors for a minute?

I am getting really upset that the talking heads keeps saying that River/Krystal's testimony just ruined George's credibility.

OK..we are the jurors and this is what we hear:

Ashton: It was your statement to the police that George said he believed that is was an accident that spiraled out of control

River/Krystal: No he said it was an accident.....

Ashton (shows her the actuall statement): Was this your statement ..that he believed it as an accident

River/Krystal: Yes

To me the word believe is the crust of it. He believed..meaning he didn't know, but it was a feeling in his gut. Also, when he said he KNEW...I took that to mean again, that it was a feeling, like "I just know I flunked my test"

Ok, as a juror...did you get what I got? Please tell me there are some intelligent jurors on this panel, and they got what Ashton was trying to point out.
I am intelligent and totally got what you did :rotfl2:

I don't beleive her at all and yes it is annoying the bejeebers outta me when people pick and choose which parts they want to beleive or not. For instance Cayse Jordan admits she is a liar - points our her lies, but belives her over Geroge.

I am going to do something unusual and unique today. I am going to clean my house! :scared1: It has to be done. Someone has to step up to the plate and tackle the job. I am not sure I will survive. My butt has gotten so used to be planted on the sofa for the last month that I am not sure it will function well in the upright position. Wish me luck. If you don't hear back from me, you know the dust got to me.

Find a person to come and clean, then your off the hook

Why does Kristal claim to have an identical twin sister? Weren't they almost a year apart?

Why is she lying while talking to Vinnie?

I'm just now starting to pay attention to the trial (a little late to the game, eh?). I'm wondering who this Krystal Holloway is, other than a mistress. I've only watched the interview for about 3 minutes and she seems so incredibly fake. Anybody who can give me a bit of a back story on her?

I dont know if they are a year apart, but they certainly do NOT look alike..

Juror #13 checking in and I totally agree with this! I believe I failed the test because I was uncertain of my answers. I don't KNOW if I failed it until I'm shown the results.

I believe it will rain next weekend. I won't KNOW until the weekend gets here.

Believe shows uncertainty or room to question. Know shows certainty.

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can just give a baby up for adoption to a stranger. Any blood relative will have an opportunity to come forward and claim the baby before it is adopted. Cindy and George would be there in a heartbeat to contest any adoption.

If Casey does end up pregnant, she will have an abortion. She knows her mother will get to raise her kid and for whatever reason, she will never let that happen.

Just because she is in prison, that doesn't automatically terminate her parental rights. I am a maternity nurse & we have had inmates give birth at our facility several times.

If a baby is taken away from the mother by the courts, a relative can petition for custody. The court would investigate them & determine fitness for custody. They may give custody to the relative or to an approved foster parent.

If the mother legally gives the child up for adoption, she may have a say in who adopts it. Depends on if she chooses a private adoption or what the policies are of the agency she signs with. Adoption agencies have "pre approved" parents & the mother may be able to choose the parents or may allow the agency to choose the parents for her.

Unless the mother's parental rights have been terminated or she is declared incompetent noone can tell her she can't give her child up by whichever of those options she chooses. She absolutely can't be forced to give the child to a relative for adoption.

I've been out shopping this morning getting ready for the holiday weekend. What's going on? What does indefinite recess mean? What happened?

thank you for that explanation. As I see it though, if Casey is found guilty of child neglect and murder, I would think they would terminate any future rights as a parent. At least I would hope so! Oh please let the Judge make this a term of her sentence..that if she does become pregnant again, she has no legal rights to that baby.

I think Caylee died sometime on the afternoon/evening of June 16. My theory is that Casey wanted to spend the night with Tony and called Cindy around 4:00 pm and asked her to babysit, but Cindy said no (per Cindy's testimony). I think Caylee was still alive when that call was made.

Casey wouldn't let anything or anyone get in the way of her new romance. She either murdered Caylee there and then and put her body in the trunk, or perhaps cloroformed her, applied duct tape to her mouth to keep her quiet if she woke up, and stuck her in the trunk where she died. I'm still not sure whether Casey is guilty of intentional murder or "just" aggravated manslaughter.

Just my opinion.

Typical Susan Smith. Boyfriend doesn't want the kid(s) around. She wants boyfriend. Child(ren) suddenly getting in way of her wants. What to do if boyfriend doesn't want kid(s) but you want boyfriend? Get rid of the kid(s). Problem solved.

Those that remember, Diane Downs got pregnant and was very visibly pregnant as her trial started. Many speculated that she did it for sympathy from the jury.

It's my 7th anniversary today.

we got married on Canada Day. It was a hot sunny day like today and we were married outside in a beautiful setting Toronto.

Today. Patrick is out in the pool with Cassie as I type this and I've just finished pumping so I can take it down to the hopsital later when we take my mil to visit Nicole.

TOTALLY not what we had planned - we had actually planned on being in the States this weekend but had cancelled it a few months ago when this pregnancy started getting much harder for me.

funny how life has a way of kicking you out of your blinders on keep doing what your doing way and make you rethink things.

UPDATE ON NICOLE - since all is quiet in the court room I'll take a minute to fill in from the phone call last night.

they have started increasing her feed amounts 1ml every feed and by the time i had called she was up to 9mils so i'm sure by now she's at least 12mls.

one heart dr came on the 27th and did a scan and found a little fluid around her heart which they will monitor and drain if needed and she got another scan yesterday for something different and i should knwo the results today.

her o2 level is down to 25% but this one is hard to manage but hopefully it will be down to 21 soon. the mask she wears - the preasure has been reduced a little and they will continue to lower it each day until they can take it off all together.

so she continues to do better each day

meaning Mr. ( Baez ) is done doing depositions on witness's that he says are bringing in new evidence. But someone correct me if I am wrong didn't Baez agree with Ashton that this is what the report said he was testifying to?

I agree completely. And she repeated the damaging part to Vinnie P. last night - she said George said it was an accident. without the word "believe" it has a whole different meaning. And when JA made her read the whole statement, with the part that Casey covered it up, well to me that just switched Miss Cruise to a prosecution witness. Thanks again, Jose!

Great news Kurby. Any day where Nicole is better than the previous day is fantastic!

I would like to know how River can testify what George said to her but the girl bodyguard who stayed with Casey while she was out on bond, cannot testify to what Casey said to her?

I think Baez is objecting all this because he didn't think the judge would want to take the time to let him do depositions and stuff so he just thought that the judge wouldn't allow it in on the states part. Instead, the judge told him to take all the time he needed. I think he was banking on the judge being hurried, so that the "new" evidence wouldn't be admitted.
