Hey guys! Just stopping over to give an update! In case you don't know me, I'm Hope -- a coworker & friend of Brook & Jen!
TyTysMommy has already told you that Jen is at Downtown Disney! She is eating at Earl of Sandwich -- YUM!!!
Brook is at the Magic Kingdom with Joe & Henry.

And Mindy & Patty should both be arriving tomorrow!

I'm attempting to keep the updates short & sweet -- wouldn't want to give away too much! The girls need something to write about in their TR after all!!! I'm so glad there are so many of us here to keep up & update the DIS gals who aren't on facebook!!!

OK, I just came up for air. I'm not very happy. This doesn't look like Disney........... and there are kids still expecting to be fed........... Hmmmmmmmmm............ Gonna have to have a word with Jen when she gets back:

UGH, It's like they need to be feed everyday, multipal times

I think instead of words, you can send Jen some ice, she said "It's blasted hot"!





No problem, Jen asked if I'd put a few things up for the non-FB crowd. Today the both checked into the hotel, and were amazed by the bigness of it(if thats a word) They've sent a few photos of "school" so far, touring guest rooms.

It was so hot! Our room was so big.

I hear ya..... sometimes even 3 times a day isn't enough. The expect SNACKS too!!!!! I mean, I know I have 2 teenage boys and all, but ............ give it a rest already. This food doesn't grow on trees! OK, well, some of it does......... but SHEESH!

I need a hot dog tree, and a chip tree, and a pizaa tree too.

I know some kids who claim to be allergic to anything that "grows" tree or ground!

If the was a chip tree, ice cream plant, or pizza bush we'd be in business!

All four of them checked in yesterday at the Yacht Club and their rooms are AMAZING!!!
I believe they started the training around 4pm. They had resort tours of CBR and CS and then went to Epcot for an Illuminations Dessert Party (this is similar to the Wishes one but from what they've reported, this one is better & also can only be booked through Private Dining Events).

The other three girls headed to bed, but Jen went to Hollywood Studios!!!

This morning, their day begins with breakfast at Cape May. They're touring the Disney Dream at Port Canaveral and then heading to Animal Kingdom!

I was a late nighter, but I did get about 4 or 5 hours of sleep each night. Sometimes even more!

I believe our ladies are quite hot on their trip. Jen posted yesterday it was "blasted hot." I have other friends at WDW right now and they are saying this is the hottest it has ever been and they always go in August. So it must be "blasted hot." My friend was upgraded to concierge in AKL and doesn't want to leave her resort. She said even her teenage boys don't want to do a whole lot.

I can't describe how hot it was at times. I think at times around 11 PM it would actually get hotter....

Jen & Brook have been busy, and yes very warm! Today they have been touring Fort Wilderness Campground and cabins.

They got to eat at Cabana's yesterday, which made them very happy!

Jen asked me to post a few photos and I will later, as photobucket is being fussy right now.

I think I was known as the crazy lady carying around Phineas and Ferb.

It was a nice evening that night. I did buy a new sweatshirt too...I did that on the 1st night. not because it was colkd, but because I have an obsession.

Yes, I hate to say it, but I am back. it was a very busy week. We actually had very little park time and when we did it was so hot that we only stayed a bit and got to the point that with the heat, it wasn't fun. The evening were even really hot. Patty and I did a few evenings at parks and had a blast though. One night it did actually get a bit chilly......but only 1 night. Most nights, even at midnight, I was sweating. I knwo I would never purposely book a trip in August for myself. It was just tooo hot.
For those who followed me on facebook, you know that Claire's buddies, Phineas and Ferb had snuck in my bag for some fun. Sorry Janet, I think they must've kicked you out! I think I am actually going to do a little TR of there adventures as well. But they have a few photopass pictures, so I'll wait till I get them before starting that. I would send pictures of them to Claire's grandma's email and Claire was LOVING it. She would ask me what they were eating, and how they did certain things. It was like she really beleived they came to life and came along.
Classes were informative. We did alot and were always busy. The resort tours were so neat. And the best part of all the tours for me was being back on the Dream. I did get to see many things that I hadn't while on our trip. I DID take another picture of the Aquaduck sign. You can never have enough of those. We had lunch at Cabanas, and I was so excited to eat on ths hip...and to have a few more of those wonderful chocolate chip cookies.
We toured quite a bit of the different staterooms, but weren't allowed to take pictures as they were't guest ready.......BUT one stateroom we toured was 7666!!!!!!! That was the exact same room we stayed in! How cool was that. Tommy, our leader found a dime on the floor, and I joked that I had lost it back when we stayed in there. And since I didn't take a picture of the toilet bathroom when I stayed in there, I took one this time around. LOL!
We had a great time and Brook was a wonderful room mate. We got along very well. I met Joe and Henry and Henry is just the cutest guy ever. I took a picture of him with Phineas and Ferb and Claire's grandma asked who Henry was. Claire told her that he was a character at Disney. Because whenever Claire has seen pictures of Henry, he's at Disney.
I had a blast with Paty as well. Brook did a lot with Joe and Henry when we weren't in classes/tours. Mindy wanted to do a few different things a couple of times, so Patty and I would hang out. She is such a wonderful person and it seemed like we had a lot in common. We had a few inside jokes and would have fun with some of that. Patty and I went to Beaches and Cream one night and both totally pigged out. We rolled out of there, sick and happy!
Mindy was nice as well....but I have to say, I have never met someone who talks as much as she does. She even referred to herself as a chatty Cathy...and she was right! I think she could talk to a wall. I think she actually might have! Her family came in Thursday and they are staying for another week, I believe.
Brook and familly will be coming home Sunday.

I also met Karin and Tom on Sunday and they were such wonderful people. We hung out at their room, which was bigger than some peoples apartments and talked for a few hours. We had a great time as well. I swear, Tom never stops smiling. And Karin and I were like old long lost friends. And I swear they wered trying to make me fatter and get me drunk. They served me a glass of wind and everytime it was empty, Tom would jump up and fill it more, even though I told him I didn't need anymore. And then they wanted to me eat about everything they had. I declined though, as I was saving room for Earl of Sandwich.

I think I took somewhere between 2 and 3 thousand pictures. I haven't loaded any on my computer yet to see the exact number, but I went through 3 4G cards and 1 1/2 2 G cards. As well as a couple hundred on my point and shoot camera.

No, they didn't (our leaders) say anything. It's hard to explain, because I can't say it publically. But I knew these two would love to hear about it. LOL! It's not really a big deal but this TR might not quite be as detailed as I normally do. Well it will be and it won't.
I just took pictures of all our freebies and the laids of stuff I bought for Claire as well. I ended up buying another suitcase. My weight was over in my checked bag and my carryon bag and back pack were full, and I just didn't want to mess around with trying to try to redistribute weight, which I really don't think would've worked anyways. I found several bags for like $120....eeek! And then as I decided I was just going to suck it up, I found a really cute one marked at $50. I don't know why that one was only half the price as it was actually cuter than one of the $120 ones, but I didn't care...I snatched it up.
Claire ended up with one more prize ...a Mickey suitcase. LOL! But then of course I had to pay for another checked bag as well.....$45 at the airport. .

I have all my stuff unpacked, not I have to start putting Claires bag away. I think my MIL washed most of her stuff, so it shouldn't be too hard. I on the other hand will be doing my laundry for quite awhile.

Once Carey sends me her email address I'll send it to both of you, so I don't have to write multiple times. I think I have about 150 emails down now. Most were facebook notifications to my posts, so those are going fast.
I think I need a nap now though. Unpacking is hard work.

Brook brought us each a black and white cookie. I never had one before, but Claire and I opened it up today. lets just say we really like it and have been nibbling on it all day.
Patty brought us these really cute carmel apples decorated disney style.....I think we will tackle that next.
Then maybe next week the diet will start.

good idea with the second suitcase. I think I will fold and pack a duffle bag in my suitcase for all the extras I bring home!
